Mina Moo - glad everything went well with your scan and that your LO is growing so nicely.

Girly - i think it was BH, but not really sure

It felt just like period pains though
It really does get more and more tiring! Can you believe I'm still at work - my fiancee is picking me up and stuck in traffic that hasnt moved in hours! Think he will only get to me at 20h00

Using the time to play Peyton some classical music which feels like she is enjoying.

Got started on the nursery - finally
Still in progress though - just put up pretty pink and lilac borders of butterflies and covered entire room floor with those sponge
puzzle pieces - safer and easier to keep clean than the carpet that is there. Want to get some shelves put up for her toys, etc.

Also finally packed the hospital bag - think getting all this done now because my mum is here helping me.

Cant wait for next week Wednesday - next appointment and will be 34 weeks, also doing the tour of the hospital.

This is definitely stay in bed weather in CPT - think it was actually hailing just now - can only imagine how cold it must be in the stadium right now!

Cant wait to go home to relax - had such a crazy hectic day from one meeting to another.

Nikki oh wow! So was it braxton hicks? What did it feel like?
I had really bad lower back pain this afternoon, like I do when its my period. Was a bit scary.
Glad you have managed to arrange an earlier maternity leave. You dont want to start training someone up last minute when you're so tired.
You must take it easy as its just going to get more tiring as the weeks progress now.

MinaMoo so glad scan went well! She seems about average size. Great that she's lying in the right position! BTW have you decided on a name? Sorry about the low lying placenta. M2M can tell you about it. And usually placentas tend to move up and not down so hope it will do that.
Exciting that the nursery is coming together!! I also cant wait until end of June cos then I can decorate and unpack everything.

Good luck with everything on the work front. I really hope and pray your hubby will be able to come down as planned. Will keep you in my prayers. The Lord is a miracle worker thats for sure!

AFM got a little bit of shopping done this w/end but not all I wanted. Think I'll wait until the furniture is all in, which we are planning to do on the 26th June.
A friend has said we can loan their bath stand on wheels, which is apparently really nice to have cos you dont have to bend down to bath baby and esp if you have a c/section is a lifesaver.
But managed to find lightweight winter pj's for the hospital and some pampers from dischem who currently have a special, R112 for jumbo packs.

We go for our hospital tour on Saturday morning, and starting our antenatal classes on 23rd June. Flip time is flying!
This week our big bosses are down for their boardmeeting. SO I will probably find out about my job situation in the coming days.
Meantime, the place I could possibly work at after maternity leave have asked to meet for coffee this week, so I am trusting the Lord that He is looking after us, and what ever happens is His will for us.
DH went for his 2nd interview on Thursday and it sounds like it went well. Hopefully they will contact him again soon for the final interview so that he can give notice by the end of June.

How is everybody?
Looks we going to have a rainy & overcasted day in CT today!

Judes mom - son looks too cute, all geared up Bafana might have drawed but done us proud, felt such a sigh of relief when they scored even tho they evened up with mexico, the next game gonna be even greater!

I had my scan yesterday, Dr. moved my appointment to after 12 as she can to go into theatre the afternoon...lil p is getting so big, weighing 1.9kgs 'n she she turned, lying down 'n can see she running out of room to move, she wants out now i'm now almost 32 weeks but the doc also mentioned that my placenta is abit low so i must just watch out for any signs of bleeding or so but I'm 100% fine, just tired now but she says baba 'n I are looking great,. between DH n myself, when she saw him at my last scan, cant see where we getting this big baby from we both like 1.52cm tall....so imagine that hey! She took some bloods also just too monitor my iron levels 'n at my next appointment to discuss labour options etc. but should my placenta get any lower, worse case we mite have to do an emergency c-section at 38weeks which will be end of July.

I went back to Kingsbury yesterday to do my pre-admission clinical, that was a breeze, they just asked my my medical history so I think I'm all sorted with the hospital, they still busy with renovations with the nursery but will be done by end of June!
DH told me that he might be able to get a new position at his branch here, i think his pushing for that as appose to a new job as his getting no luck so far. DH wants to come down mid July permanently as things are not looking so great at his current office, they re-structuring 'n mite even start retrenching not him, but those on contract but he wants out! His been with the company for 11 years now...seems we all have our employment woes...I'm on contract too, mine ends Feb. next year but I too want out so towards the end of the year, going to start looking again...have to be fair to the company as they giving me off as they knew I was pregnant when I started...

I pray that the Algmighty brings us all much blessings and they do say that with a new arrival, they too bring their own special blessings so we must just have faith!

Will pop in again soon, enjoy the rest of the wkend, keep warm 'n enjoy the soccer, just stay clear of all the madness

I had two "false alarms" last night - had these cramps that felt just like period pains and thought OMW this is it, but it wasnt

Peyton has been moving around alot more now - really big kicks and nudges especially at night.

I feel like a beached whale at the moment, really struggle to get around and especially to get up

Blessed, i so wish i could do the same after Peyton is born - as much as i love my job, I cant imagine going back, but I probably have to.

My mum will be with me for the first few months and i will take it from there as to getting a full time nanny or getting my mum to move from DBN to CPT which she plans on doing anyway.

Cant believe how close we all are to the big day!

I didnt go into work yesterday - literally could not get up. My replacement is meant to start with handover on 28th June, but after i called in to my boss yesterday, he suggested my replacement start next monday instead! But it is obviously too short notice for the new guy so we agreed to 21st June - so i can at least go on maternity leave a few weeks early than planned Really looking forward to the time off

Want to get out of the office early today - i know the traffic is going to be crazy!

A very good morning to everyone, im in such a joyous mood, firstly i slept like a baby last night, didnt get up to wee, no heartburn and i didnt even toss and turn at all.

Plus i feel so proudly SA today, loving the vibes in town. I work in Loop Street so theres always action along the road. We working till 1 today so im looking forward to going home a bit early.

Im also due around the 23 August, who else is due then, going to do the tour of Milnerton Medi Clinic this Sunday so looking forward to that.
