Morning Ladies!

Girly - no worries! But I'm still gonna skype to say hi every now and then!

Again to Girly and Blessed : I'm also in the same tight spot re work and babba. Just to give you a little bit of back ground info:
Hubby and I moved in with hubby's parents about 3 weeks ago - lovely move! Nice spacious house with a room for Ava-Lily, and we save a lot! So we're loving it! The probleme now is that its quite a drive from my work place, seeing that we dont have a second car. I went to my boss a while ago asking if I can maybe move my pc to home and work from there, I also made it clear that I'm not leaving my girl in someone else's care. God gave me this blessing to raise and take care of. So my boss was all understanding and said he will look into it - only to tell me no, I wont be able to hande work from home with a baby. So, long story short, they left me to decide between my work or my child...
We are leaving it in God's hands - I am Ava-Lily's earthly Mom, her Heavenly Father will take care of her and provide us with what we need. I told the people at work I'll come back after ML, but I had a nice chat with our HR manager, and it looks like working from home is back on the table.
But we'll have to wait and see what God has planned for us.
Blessed - name says it all - you are very blessed that your work people are so understanding. I am VERY happy for you!

So ladies..

On Tuesday me and DH had a very long and nice talk..

I realised that i don't wanna come back to work after the birth of my little man. So i talked to DH and told him exactly how I feel and what I want! Guess what??? He wants the same!! I was very glad to hear that and I'm so Blessed with a DH like him! He is so understanding and caring!

So, i love my work and the people i work with! It is not easy finding a job with such nice people and Directors who are all Christains and caring and who does not think they are better than you!! So that is something i'm gonna miss and i'm was not sure if i wanted to miss it! So DH told me something very true... The things/memories i'm gaining and experiencing with Armand is far more precious than what i'm gonna miss at work!! It is a BIG previledge and Blessing to be able to stay at home with your baba and if it is possible to do it, we should do it!! I really appreciated it!!

So i had to tell my big boss yesterday! He had me in tears because of the way he handled it!! He was so NICE and UNDERSTANDING!! He said that it is a Blessing and that he thinks we are doing the right thing! So i kind of resigned today, but only finish when i go on Maternity leave middle / end of July!!

I'm giving my them my answer today and it is that i'm resigning

I'm very very very very EXCITED!!!!!!
I just want to thank GOD OPENLY BEFORE EVERYONE FOR THIS PRIVILEDGE AND BLESSING!!! ALL GLORY TO HIM!!!!

Sorry I cant chat much during the day, skype draws me from my work and there's a lot to do in my LAST 6 weeks!

M2M they're gonna be born around the same time maybe Gonna be the cutest little neighbours together

What are you girls doing about looking after your LO's next year, especially those of you who have to go back to work like me?
My mom stays in Strand, so cant ask her, and MIL still works. Will have to start looking around. At this stage thinking it might be worth a nanny who can also clean here & there as it'll save me time. But I cant really decide until we know what finances will be like.

DH went for 2nd interview last night after work. It was the social one where staff from other departments ask him questions and feedback to management. So hopefully if they like him, he'll get called back SOON for a 3rd interview.
And the prospective company I could start working for next year, suggested coffee next week. The big boss would be down from Germany. Thanks for all the prayers so far!

Anyways, off to work! We have half day but lots get done in that time!

The 16week scan is believed to be most accurate, however you should stick to your original due date until around 36weeks.

This is because baby's grow at different rates, and they could have a growth slump or spurt between scans changing the estimations given.
It could also just mean that you would have a bigger baby that will carry to full term.

Remember full term is 38-42 weeks so when you decide to take maternity leave depends on how you are feeling.
I am going on 1st August, 3 weeks before due date. But if I start struggling, will maybe go off the week before. If your baby is bigger, you might become tired sooner and therefore should not work to the end. Doctor can also advise you the best as to when you should take off.. Most wont allow you to work beyond 38weeks though and that's if everything is fine, including your BP, weight gain etc.

PS My baby is still showing a few days behind, and has been consistently so for the last few months. So she could either be a smaller baby (not by much though, guestimate 3.3kgs) or be late. Others could have a big baby (4kgs) or be 2 weeks early.

Hi Ladies,

I just have a quick question for Girly. My first given due date from my gynae was the 24th of August 2010. It later changed to the 19th Aug & this was after the 20th week scan. I am being adviced that i should maybe keep to my first given date.

The question i have is when do you entail on going on your martenity leave? When will your last day be? Am confused, this whole Martenity leave thingy is really confusing. Some enlightment would help.
