Hi Ladies,

Wow you have been busy. Thanks all for all Fayaz is much better now. The Chickenpox has dried now, i am glad he got it early atleast we are done with that.

Seems like to 22nd is a good day with Cols Dh's Bdat, Joybaby's Anniversary and my LG 4th BDay.

Not much happening on Vals we dont celebrate its just another day for us, with two kids and no family around going out just the two of us is out of the question. The office did give all the ladies roses, atleast its something.

Joybaby i hope the surgery happens of Thursday all the best to K, i will keep her in my prayers.

Robyn, it could be part of symptoms for first trimester but dont risk it rather see the gynae.

This weekend is BD weekend hope all goes well. Joybaby did AF come?

Joybaby - that is so impressive She is such a clever little girl!! Sorry to hear that her op was put out again, but I guess things happen for a reason, so just go with it.

Robyn, I would rather call the gynae just to make sure. I remember those days, one worries about EVERYTHING when you pregnant - so tiring

I am going to be chatting to my manager later this week and discuss the possibility of working half days as a contractor so that I can spend some time with Em in the afternoon and then not feel guilty about studying/gym in the evening. Will have to see if it will work out financially because it would mean that I would need to pay for my own studies where as now work pays for it. Also, won't get any paid leave, so need to think about it. Maternity leave will also be unpaid, so won't be able to take 6 months like I did with Em, so basically lots to think about. I would get paid more monthly as a contractor though, so maybe it can balance out.

Dh and I went out for dinner last night and it was sooo nice. Better than going out tonight with everything crowded and "commercialised". Actually looking forward to our picnic with the kids tonight, there are now another 2 couples and their kids who will be joining us!

Hi girls

The surgery has been moved to Thursday now.
ICU still very full and they are dealing with a very sick baby at the moment.
Just hope it doesn't move out any further.

Kaylee is 18 months old today
And she used the potty for the first time today as well - 3 times!
She was tugging at her fanny and trying to pull her pants off. So I went and got the potty and sat her down and she made a wee just like that. Happened 3 times!

Will catch up tomorrow. Sending CV's out so that its done with for the week.
I have an interview on Wednesday morning - a follow up from Friday's interview. Really hope something good will come from it!

Shoo wee everyone has been busy.

Joybaby - GOOD LUCK for tomorrow. Thinking of you the whole day and praying for Kaylee - she is such a fighter and a precious little angel I have no doubt she will come through this operation with flying colours.

Wow, also can't believe Blessed has had her 2nd baby already, that's wonderful.

Robyn, i would phone my gynae and ask him, just to be safe.

I wish we knew about the bank/bond leave for 4 months when I had John. It might have made things easier for us. But that is in the past now. I must say, it was really tough not having maternity pay or UIF pay and I did earn a little bit of money over that time but it still wasn't enough. However, my mom-in-law told me when I was pregnant that "babies come with a loaf of bread under their arm" - meaning that people will help out - and its true. We have been supported tremendously over the past 2 year from family and friends. But I wouldn't want to go through that again.

I'm loving my new job. Its so good to have my own thing again that is separate from home and also to be a part of a team and not solely responsible for everything. And i can't wait for the 28th Feb when I get my first salary.

Valentines...ja.... we used to do nice things but that was so long ago. Now we like to do something around the time but not to go out on the actual night as it seems too contrived. But I'm making cottage pie tomorrow night and we'll have a bottle of Lambrusco champagne (the same champagne we had at our wedding). So at least it will be something.

I better run, so tired - the hardest part of a full time job is trying to fit everything in at night that needs to be done at home. But DH is pulling his weight a little - he even cooked twice last week and he will do the same this week! lol

Joybaby - gosh Already? Please send my well wishes to her. I hope her and baby are happy and healthy. Your anniverary's on DHs birthday A very special day! I keep thinking, in the long run it'll be worth any struggle financially now... DH is more eager on this planning than me I think. I cannot wait but he is taking this business seriously. Did AF arrive - I really hope not!

Kerry, DH is fortunately the breadwinner but I will do as I did last time and save up so that I can cover my contributions and expenses. I just cut as many costs out as possible. I will also stock up groceries etc before maternity leave. My friend got a payment leave from her bank during her maternity leave. It will all work out

Flowergirl, feels like I need a weekend after my weekend. I never sleep well when DH is away. I hope the studying goes well? I need to get into my new subjects.

Robyn, sounds like you had a great weekend. It's true what you say about kids and their development. It is horrible that some little ones are allowed to be brats I also get comments still about what a calm and cholled LO Evan is. To be honest, I prefer that. WRT the dizziness... I would check with the Dr sooner. My friend had fainting spells in her pregnancy. She was told to keep her electrolytes up - energade, more salt in her food etc to keep her blood pressure up. Also because she was small and thin baby was putting pressure on her 1artery when she lay down or sat for too long. This was from the beginning of her pregnancy. It could also be that you are a bit anaemic or even though you are eating regularly your blood sugar could still be dipping?

Flowergirl, My nieces best friend was talking @ just over a year but took a longer time to walk. Evan has his moments with talking. Yesterday he was saying Hello, today he will not say it. He is very much a child who does what he wants when he wants.I want to get Evan Wellies in winter. We're going skiing in Lesotho in July so I want him to have a pair for then. I have seen them @ Pick n Pay. Not sure if they have for kids?

I got DH his Popular Mechanics subscription for Valentines day. I will do mash, sauer kraut & Eisbein or Pork fillets for dinner tomorrow night.

need some advice

I've been getting dizzy spells recently (started before I was pregnant) but seems to be getting worse
I'm eating normally so I think it's low blood pressure (happens when i'm sitting or even lying down)
My scan is only in 2 wks - do you think its normal and I should wait til my gynae or should I go to my dr sooner?

Lol @ Robyn - Knee high boots for a 2 year old! I cannot imagine that. I tried to put Emily in Wellingtons in the shop the other day and we were in stitches watching her try to walk

As for the talking, I was in Woolworths the other day and there was a little girl the same age as Em (18months) and she was TALKING FULL SENTENCES - telling me: "Dus mamma se blomme" and asking me "Wat is die baba se naam?" yip - calling Em a baby and they are the exact same age

So, they all develop differently, but I must say I was amazed at her vocab, and here I was thinking Emily was advanced in the talking department

Our valentines plans have changed again went from doing nothing to having a picnic in my sisters backyard - but we doing it for the kids gonna make it all corny for them with little heart shaped food and gifts for them, my sister is even getting them kiddies champagne aaaaah, the joys of parenting.
