lol Jeanine - not a fun cleaning up job at all! Emily seems to be getting there slowly with the potty thing now. This morning she said "wee" and ran to the potty. My mom followed, took off her nappy and sat her on the potty. She sat for a while and then got off and walked to her toys, 2 seconds later she wee'd on the floor and said "uh-oh"! LOL, at least she tried.

Trying to catch up, was on course the whole of last week, and they did the most HORRIBLE thing imaginable - they gave us PC's WITH RESTRICTED INTERNET ACCESS!! The horror of it

Firstly, Joybaby!!! CONGRATS!!! Wow, so happy for you guys, and been following K's progress on Facebook, glad to hear everything is going well.
Ps, great due date... being my birthday and all

I'm seriously thinking about no 2 again... did my calculations - if I want paid maternity leave, and NOT have a baba in Dec/Jan, I can only start TTC in MAY 2013. Not sure I can last that long - and that will be a 3.5 year gap...

We weren't really planning anything for Valentines, but DH surprised me with a candlelit dinner (McDonald’s ) in the garden! Had to have it after 8pm though - since MIL didn't want to catch the hints to babysit

Wow on the girl speaking full sentences already - And here I’m glad Willem is FINALLY starting to say proper words! His current favourite is ‘hello’ and ‘baai’. He is also trying to copy whatever we say to him.

We had a bit of a rough time the last 2 weeks .
Willem got a runny stomach, it got so bad I had to take him to the doctor. (diarrea - needed antibiotics). All this caused the most horrible nappy rash, shame, he was screaming every time he had to ‘go’. Took another week of creams to clear THAT up.
Then after all this, he had about 3 nights of REALLY bad sleep, ending with us getting about 4hrs sleep on Saturday night (NOT used to that anymore )
So... on Sunday I happen to stick my finger in his mouth (at great personal risk ), and discovered that he is cutting 3 more teeth!!! His 4th molar is almost out, as well as both top canine's (? Think that's what they are called). One pushing against the gums, and the other one the tip is already out.

We are still not really doing any serious potty training. The potty is by FIL at the moment, guess I better get one for home as well.
TMI warning Twice now in the last week Willem did a no2 in the bath - we could tell that he was about to, but had nowhere to put him (didn't even THNK of hanging him over the toilet till it was too late).
Since it seems to be a regular thing either just before (or during) bath time, that might be the perfect time to have him sit on a potty.....

Robyn, I hope things are going better? How are the dizzy spells? Have you called your dr? It is SO hard trying to hide it when you actually need help...

Kerry, camomile tea funny enough helps with constipation. Also, bran and LOADS of water and dry fruits.

Babyzee, Evan grabs his penis when he is going to wee but still doesnt get the whole potty concept.

We had SUCH a great weekend and EM was in such a good mood!! Really lovely weekend spent with family and friends. Way too much eating though!!!

We met up with friends on Saturday whose daughter is Em's age and they are also trying for number 2 now - makes me think it might be time for us now as well especially since it took us almost 2 years trying for EM!!! Will have to chat to dh and see what he thinks

Robyn bleh nausea You can ask for some Vomifene, keep crackers / marie biscuits handy / ginger beer tea. I found I always had nausea at night around supper time. Hardly ate at night the first trimester. Cant believe that's 2 years ago!!!

So a personal post!
Kaylee is out of surgery and stable!!! She's in ICU and on a ventilator so they keep her sedated and sleeping until she is breathing on her own.
I just checked in with them. She had a very restless night, the sedatives work out her system very fast. So they have given high doses of the stuff and she's now fast asleep so not breathing on her own at all. So they will probably keep her on the ventilator till she's doing better. It's all part of the process, allbeit scary for us, but unfortunately with her she fights the sedatives (always has) and so that makes it a bit harder.
We are staying in this morning. Have some housework to do and resting before going through. We are very helpless while shes in ICU and I have a lot of housework to do anyway as we havent had a maid for 2 weeks
From tomorrow she may be a little more responsive and so we'll spend more time there.
Then hopefully by Monday they will transfer her to the paediatric ward for the final hospital stay. She'll be limited in her movements cause of the cut down her chest, so plan on bringing lots of movies for her to watch and things to play with on the bed.

I'll have the 3g card with me in hospital next week so will try be in touch more often. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Robyn, I hope you have help with D. I also worry about the first trimester with a toddler in the house - they are soooo super busy and the first trimester is soooo tiring. Really not sure how one handles both of that! When I was pregnant with EM, I used to have a nap first when I got home in the afternoons, then DH would wake me to eat supper, I would then bath and straight back to bed! But that was easy when there was no other child/children to care for. So, thinking of you and hoping that the first trimester and its struggles are over soon.

Joybaby, I see K's surgery was postponed again! Thinking of you and her in hospital.
