August-September 2010 Moms

Hello ladies and welcome Riffa, your angels are gorgeous. My little boy John was born on the 30 August 2010 via c-section, although I was hoping for a hypnobirth. I would be seroiusly interested in a vbac if we had another child, but for now we are not going to try for another.

Joybaby what wonderful news! It is all part of Gods plan for you and things will come right but I know how hard it is to be patient and sit back and wait. How was the interview and good luck for the other one on tues. And wow that Kaylee is home already. Well done on coping so well with everything you have been through over the last few weeks.

Flowergirl, good luck with the chat to change to contractor. If you are disciplined enough to save then it sounds like a winning opportunity.

Shame my poor little guy has tonsilitus for the first time so first time on antibiotics too. But he is already much better. He slept fairly well, I got up at 2 to give him neurofen and he was burning up but was not as bad this morning. He is sleeping now. We had to cancel all our weekend plans but its ok, its quite nice to just relax

Oh jeanine that is funny, pooing in the bath! Touch wood we haven't had that yet but you never know. John is no where near using a potty. He knows where his winky is but he's not making any more associations yet. I'm not worried, this boy vey much does things in his own time. Oh and same here with the teeth, when he was crying on thurs night, I managed to get alook inside his mouth and we are up to 16! So thats all for now I think, do the last 4 molars come out between 2 & 3?

Oh and about the one piece... Josh's Dad went overseas (i think to cambodia) and got it at the hard rock cafe there... sorry i know you just don't seem to find one-pieces in 18-24 month size

I also havent really been pressing the potyy training issue... i got her a potty and put it next to our toilet and whenever i go she comes along and sits on it... i make "faces and noises" and she copies and a few times there has been a dirty nappy after... but we are still a way off...

we are now at the point where she will fetch me and drag me to the potty, trouble is its once she has already dirtied the nappy

Janine... i think it must be something they go through coz last week we also suddenly had a week of her insisting on coming to our bed at 4am and last weekend she woke up at 5am both saturday and sunday and wouldn't go back to sleep .

I have a boy, Willem, born 20 August. We were going to start TTC no 2 last year Nov (2 year gap), but unfortunately I got retrenched in October. Got a new job, but they only pay maternity after 2 years....

I would LOVE to have a VBAC with no 2. Big part because I want to go back to the clinic I had Willem at - Genesis. The only accept low-risk natural births though (but do have theater for emergency c-sections).

Not REALLY potty training yet (Lazy, i know ) We do have a potty, but its at his Oupa's house (FIL looks after him during the day). He does let him sit on it, but no 'luck' so far.

Kerry, wow for the great night!! LOL about Murphey's - whenever Willem sleeps well, and I tell somebody, he doesn't sleep for at least a week... So, if anybody wondered why I stopped discussing his sleeping habits......

Joybaby, great that K's is home already. Hopefully its just the itching, and she will be back to her usual routing soon.

Just remember - they are not allowed to discriminate againt you because you are pregnant. and as much as most people feel better to be upfront about it - you don't have to even tell them you are preggies, you are still very early...

AFM: Well, had a few bad nights ourselves (Hope murphey is listening, hopefully this works the other way around as well ). No apparent reason, but Willem seems to be back to wanting to climb in bed with us at 4am - after waking up around 12, 2. On top of that I've been bad (got a few new series), and have only been going to bed after 12 myself . So feeling a bit tired......

Morning Ladies

Need some advice - thing of starting to potty train my little girl. Her nappies are now starting to irritate her when they are full or dirty.

But the problem is I dont even know where to begin.
I've put a potty in the bathroom and get her to sit on it before she gets in the bath but dont quite know what else to do?????
Heard that its also a bad time to start because the weather is getting colder.

Also wanted to find out if anyone has anything to say about VBAC's and VBA2C's
Dont want to start a fight just wanting to hear different point of views about it so that I can better make my mind up about it!

So sorry girly, perhaps the cut is only starting to heal now and has become itcy? Lets hope it heals fast so she has as little discomfort as possible!

I am sure her sleep patterns will come right soon... its just the hospital routines mucking her about.

Kerry what an awesome evening you guys had!!!
Our babies are getting so big already!
K also loves walking with us, but inevitably we get someone making a comment on it because she looks to small to walk those distances.

We had another rough night.
I was awake late because we were working on our budget and then had to go shower and send some emails.
Just as I was getting ready for bed at midnight, Kaylee woke up. She was awake till 2:30am and then woke again at 7am
I think the hospital stay has shaken her because before we were having no trouble with sleep at all.
Plus the cut is now starting to give her discomfort, not sure why it would only start doing so now as it was fine while in hospital and we're on the same meds. Feel so bad for her!
