Addisons disease affects the kidneys - it's not very common and she needs to have 2 tablets a day for the rest of her life (at R370 for 100 - )

I actually had a great night last night - I asked MIL if D could stay with her as I needed to come to work early, plus I wanted to keep an eye on my dog, so I ended up having a lovely, relaxing, quiet evening on my own!!
(when I told DH in Jhb, I think he was abit annoyed at me - asked if MIL offerred or if I asked her - don't think he realises that when he goes to Jhb, I have to deal with everything on my own - he has a quiet evening on his own, why can't I? )

I'm trying to find swimming lessons for D, but everywhere seems to have them during the day Mon-Fri - what about us working moms??

Jeanine, I found the same with Evan. He LOVES water, loves playing by the pool and in his baby pool but when I took him in the big pool he freaked out and clung to me. The last few times he has enjoyed it more. He hasnt been in for 2 weeks now with the croup. But what I did was I took some of his bath toys in the pool. He was very happy with that

Kerry, I am keen to meet up. It's just SIL wants to have a pre-Christmas brunch that weekend. I will just find out if she is planning for Saturday or sunday.

Robyn, I am having the same issues with Evan's gums. His bottom left side of his mouth and all his back gums are so red and swollen. I hope it's not mollers. They take forever and are so painful He also lifts his arms now to take his tops off and pulls his tops over his head. I have to wrestle him to change his nappies! The talking will come

BabyK, how cute is John! Sooo cute! I would be thrilled if Evan would go to bed like that I dont know Meags so might be wierd for me to come? It is frantic at this time of year! This weekend is so hectic every day. 2 events on Sunday

Evan is also still on water. He doesnt like tea - well my tea that is. It doesnt matter how I make it he will not drink my tea but he drinks it at school. Since it started getting so hot he drinks tons of water. He also isnt that keen on juices. I have tried a couple. He prefers his plain water. He seems to be going off his milk. He drinks 2 bottles a day now - he doesnt finish them every time though. He will throw his milk bottle away if he sees his water! I suppose they are meant to be dropping now. His appetite is better and he sleeps well. Unfortunately he has been waking up at 3:30 am screaming his head off! He has his water and then doses off again until after 6am. I leave it in his cot and he has his dummy on a clip. Not sure if it's maybe his gums hurting him? I spoke to his teacher today and she told me he's moving to the bigger class in January! My baby is changing classes He is getting sooo big :'(

Gosh darn it, I'm gonna miss the meet. Busy the 11th (and the 16th for that matter) (and this sunday). Every weekend till Christmas is now booked. Mad hey?

John loves Cool Cats on e-tv, and just today he's started saying it, but he says "TooTa". I just realised that's what he was saying, so cute.
And then after Cool Cats, he crawled to his bedroom, I followed him and he pulled himself up to his cot and looked like he wanted to climb in, so I picked him up to put him in and he looked around for his dummy. I put him to sleep and he's out like a light, such a good little boy today *beam* I can't believe he just put himself to sleep.

Now to get some work done....

DH is working so its just me, but thats cool he will come home at 2:30 so not too bad.

Let me know what time you ladies would like to start (i know its a bit of a travel - i like to travel during K's 10 o clock nap) so i would suggest 11 ish... and i think we can order Pizza if thats okay with everyone?

PM - I dont know how you cope with 3 kids or 3 girls - 1 is just so hectic

K has never drank more than 150ml of milk ever. her 2:30 bottle is only 100ml and 7pm is 150ml. thats it. she lasts a whole 12 hours since 7pm bottle till her brekkie cereal time 7am. has a sip or two of water from her water bottle when she wakes up 4:30 - 6pm. always a early bird just like mom and now just waits till cereal time.

she had stopped all liquids during night from 7months, helped alot. just woke up for 4:30am bottle, now she does not take that even. so doing well. she has like half a litre of water in the day in between everything. so its good for her

Janine, you can start babies from 6 months old, even 3 but I could not take K cause its was plonk in the middle of winter and yes they have heated pools etc but i did not want to take from cold to hot and vice versa, then they get sick and cross fingers, K has only been sick once, runny nose from which she shared a toy from another child. otherwise she has a strong immune system.

so now dad teaches her where he can and it helps cause she just loves the water from little, when she was few days old she would move her legs in the bath, and when she was 2 months old hubby bought her own big pool and would go in with her and she would just kick and do her thing.

we never take to the baby pool, she goes in the big pool and just dives off the platform into his arms, she is such a brave baby, just has no fear. good thing and bad, cause not just anyone can take her into the pool, she is wild - LOL.

i just think its good for them to learn to swim, its so easy and dangerous to drown. never underestimate their potential.
