Maybe postponing is better if so many can't make it anymore

The place we are staying in is for sale, so there is a possibilaty of sho houses on Sundays, so for me saterdays would be better.

As far as I know I'm open on the 3rd. Also, I AM available on the 19th, just not early morning

Kerry, your place sounds great to me, but in case it might be more central/easier for the other ladies... another venue option is Delta Park (just ask Cols - they've got a great jungle gym, and HUGE open areas for picnics. They even have 1 or 2 area's for braai's, but have to get there early.

Ladies... wecould always postpone to 3 December if it makes it any better?

We could also meet at brightwater commons again... it doesn't have to be here.... i only offered coz our pool is baby friendly and K enjoys it so i thought you littles would too..

oh and i was thinking of organising for my cousin and her friend to come entertain the kids... (early teens)

OF and DH's dad bought K a bubble machine... ooh she had a blast catching bubbles today.

The Christmas presents all look so cute. Nice ideas. I want to see if Mr Price still has those little pianos they had last year. John really loves music.

Cols - shame friend that sucks! Sorry about the cysts and the endometriosis but its good that you're having them removed. Have you had endemetriosis a long time? Did you fall preggers with Evan with it? Good luck for Thursday, hope its not too bad.

John is also better, hardly snotty today. He is such a good sleeper at night, we are so blessed. But he fought his afternoon sleep today so went to bed at 6:45 and was out in 5 minutes.

Si is away again, fishing this weekend. He is absolutely shattered from his Cape Town weekend last weekend and he has an exam on Monday so he really doesn't think he will pass. but he's taken his books away with him. Who knows. Secretly I think he is a real genius and will probably pass anyway but its not one of those that you can normally pass if you don't study.

So I have plans tomorrow and tomorrow night! Tomorrow my bestie and I are taking John to the zoo. And then he is sleeping at my mom and dad and I'm going for dinner with my step-mom-in-law (she is only 12 years older than me) and my bestie too and we might go out afterwards! Exciting stuff.

On Sunday John and I are going to my good friend Hilary for her son's 3rd birthday - she invited lots of people and EVERYONE is going, something like 35 adults and 18 children! Going to be mad! Should be lots of fun too. Looking forward to that.

Kerry, sorry about your mom, hope its not too bad. I'm really sorry but I might also not come to you anymore next weekend. Its Simon's work function on the friday night and John is sleeping at step-mom-in-law and Si wants to do stuff together on the Sat. But I will try see if we can still come through, I'll let you know early next week. I think it would so awesome for John to see Kaelyn and the other little August/ Sept babies again.

K unpacks things too... and if you leave the washbasket near the washing machine she will take clothes out of the basket and put them in the machine.... unfortunately she isn't nearly reliable enough to get the whole load in... and i havent yet trained her to put soap in the machine LOL

Yes it seems theres a work ethic bug going around...

Lol Kerry - Emily also has a fascination with shoes, I will have to wait until she is much more stable on her feet though before I get her those. She is already fallling over her own feet at the moment!! I might get her a tiny cupboard with doll clothes as well - oh my word, that child is OBSESSED with folding clothes - she CRIES for the clothing as soon as it comes off the line or out of the tumble drier! I have to pack her drawers at least every 2nd day because madam has figured out how to open the bottom 2, so she throws everything out all the time and the "refolds" it!!

Oh and another thing I want to get her is an interactive doll. She has dolls now, but none of them do anything like cry, talk, walk, crawl, etc. I think the child would be super fascinated if she saw one of those. My sister is getting her the Graco playset (pram, highchair and crib for doll).

Oh, and I forgot, I fell inlove with this, so dh is going to make her one during the xmas break as well. Works out much cheaper than to buy it. It will be a chalkboard and then have the paper roll at the top, so one can roll off paper to draw/paint and then that goes over the chalkboard. Then, will also have the 3 cupholders at the bottom for the utensils. Dh is making it and I am painting it.



and incase you have not noticed, I am bored today and sooooo not in the mood for work (again!)

I do have an older brother.... but he's 30 and still lives off my parents... he is irresponsible... lazy and just downright annoying!

Nevermind, it really isn't as bad as i make out. My dad deals with it mostly. (Seeing as she wont even go to the grocery shop on her way home to buy her own cigarettes he is run off his feet and i try help.) (she apparently has, now whats it called... the one where they are scared to leave the house?... too) That too doesn't stop her wanting to live at restaurants over the weekends... LOL

the issue is it is undiagmosed hypochondria... my dad humours her and refuses to see it... though he does believe she is pretending to be sick half the time he acts though nothing is happening and every time a shrink or doc even hints at it they are a terribly incompetent doc and she goes off to a new one... leaving the history behind

I was thinking of something like the playhouse too, and she already has DUPLO so thats out...

they toy she seems to love most at creche though is there play kitchen... so there is that too, but i think MIL might be buying that.

oh and definately a set of those play dress up shoes... my child absolutely loves shoes if she sees a pair she makes a plan to put them on and try walk in them... no matter whose shoes thay are.

Kerry - shame man, sounds like you having a rough time with your mom. Hope it gets better. hypochondria can be a real b&tch, shame she can't help herself, but it must be tough for you do you have brothers or sisters who can help out as well??

I like the xmas gift idea you have for the grandparents - very sweet. Talking about xmas gifts, what are you ladies getting the LO's for xmas?? DH and I agreed to each get her something small and then we do 1 combined bigger gift as well. But we each want something different that is in the slightly "bigger" range, so we might get 3 medium sized gifts this year. I want to get her the TOLO or Playmobil playhouse (pics attached) and dh wants to get a Thomas the Tank Engine racing track (pic attached). She loves her Tomy ride-on and cars are her all time favourite toy. Then we will get her something else as a joint gift, not sure what though........
