Morning ladies

Your weekend sounds exciting Robyn. Our men can drive us made sometimes can't they? Isn't it frustrating how when we want to go out we have to make plans for a babysitter or ask DH etc but when they want to go out they just do it? Well DH always checks with me first if its ok that he is not home but the double standard gets to me sometimes. I'm not a stay at home mom, I'm working my butt off too to try and bring in some money but I must still be the automatic primary caregiver.
Anyways, enough ranting, sorry.

Hey I've also been putting John on the potty this week - I mean its WAY too early, he doesn't have a clue, but I'm trying to get him to associate it with the toilet so whenever I go to the toilet I sit him on his little potty too. He's not too interested, he keeps hopping off and then playing with it, but hey.

I forgot to tell you ladies I had an awesome night out last week Saturday - I only had 4 hours sleep - got to bed at 4am~! hehe. Had so much fun with my bestie, had a very sore head on Sunday. My Dad brought John home at 11am and he went straight down for his nap and I caught 40 winks too and felt much better after that (and 2 neurofen). But it was good to be out. I've got it out my system now too, I don't think I need to go out for a big one for a while.

So I want to have Christmas at our house so John can be in his own home and swim and play etc and not have to drive from pillar to post to see everyone. I think I might have some resistance from my MIL, she might want to have something at hers. Oh well, can't please everyone.

Kerry - aaarrrgh how frustrating with your work/pc/virus issues. Are things sorted out today? Did you all get the virus from the colleage's pc without the virus scan programme?

Anyways, happy friday everybody and HAPPY 11.11.11! So cool!

Morning Ladies

TGIF!!!!

We bought D a potty this week, so MIL has been having fun, pttign D on it everytime she goes to the bathroom
(it's one that plays music and talks to you - very cute!)

DH sold his car this week and we are going to pick up his new one tom morning - he's very excited
Then my mom, D and I are going to a family friends Baby Shower on Sat afternoon

I had a pretty busy week - DH was in Jhb Mon & Tues and then went to cricket on Wed (where he got drunk and sun stroke ), so I had baby,dogs,house duty and then he wanted to go out with a friend last night - but decided to go on Sat (while I'm at the shower)

Soooo... seriously, all last week the server in our office was down and as we all work off of it... little to no work was done... finally monday things were looking promising, today we get in and everyones virus software is going BONKERS warning of 2000+ virusses and what not... and gradually all day it has gotten worse... till eventually i went to help one of my colleagues on her PC and she commented the virus software hadn't been bugging her...

So i had a look and it turns out thats coz when IT gave her her new PC they hadn't installed it!!!!!!

now my department is emptying out because the virus is destroying their PC's to the point they crash and don't turn on again...

oh what fun! and seeing as i am sorta IT savy everyones calling me to fix stuff as out IT department is a serious Joke! so i havent done too much work myself today! (probably why my PC is still standing up huh)

ah well have a good evening ladies!

Hubby, K and myself are meeting K's godmom at panarottis for all you can eat pizza tonight. To celebrate hubby writing his last exam yesterday (well for this year anyhow)

My mom's having a cataract removed next week - took her to the eye doc on Monday cos she couldn't drive herself home. John was shouting at everyone in the waiting room *embarrassed*, aah it wasn't too bad, he just does this shouting/screaming thing all the time now.

Ja, all of Johns pants are stained and he gets food and things on his t-shirts too. But if he wears anything white, I just spray it with vanish before the wash and touch wood the marks have always come out. Jeanine, I agree, he looks like a real boy with dirt all over him, probably would be very different if he was a girl.

Ok, better get back to my work, hope you all have a fab weekend. Its SOOOO hot in JOzi, got the fan blowing on me

I hear you on the stains. Think that where the 'boy' mommies are a bit luckier
Boys are almost expected to look 'dirty'!

And I can dress Willem in brown / black / navy blue shorts every day of the week.
For the rest - I spend about 30 minutes soaping in all his light clothes with sunlight soap before every wash . He has one white shirt - he wore it once, and I got such comments from FIL that he hasn't wore it since (might also be that I spent 5 minutes scrubbing that shirt alone)

Cols - Hope the op goes well tomorrow, and that it won't be too sore afterwards.

PM - Congrats on the new (old) job .
I've also seen those water/sand tables - but I'm afraid to give Willem access to more water... FIL's dog has to do aerobics to get th her waterbowl - its packed behind so many chairs and other things. And he STILL gets to it at least 2-3 times a week - favorite things is to throw her food in it, and then to tip it over and sit in the water pudle.
And he dips EVERYTHING he gets hold of in our cat's water bowl - BIG problem if DH lets him take the keys (easier than chasing after him, and sit with screaming baby). So now the cat's food and water is on top of the tumble dryer!!

Willem just LOVES to climb, and hubby wanted to look at on of those plastic slides. but those things are SO expensive, especially considering that it will only last him a short while then its too small...
So I convinced DH that if he wants to spend so much money, he must look at the quadro system first. I saw it when I was still pregnant, and always thought to get that for WIllem someday, and then just build on to it

sorry to be a killjoy guys but the stains seem to get worse the more mobile they get! I eventually bought K denim shorts for creche, so that she can get as dirty as she likes!! i have white clothes she has worn once and i practically had to bleach them to death... and i am a serious freak about her being well dressed in clean clothes... but i understand that Dirty for them means they had fun...

Shame pink i can imagine the feeling... at least you still have your baby around!

Thing is guys will be guys... just enjoy it while it lasts!
