Hello ladies

TGIF!!! (altho it's flipping cold )

Dakota has actually gone down to 4x 120ml bottles now (I think it's cos she's eating so well during the day)
Shame, she's only a little noo-noo - swimming in 6-12m clothes, but she's now wearing size 3 shoes
Thankfully she has still slept thru the night thru her teething 8pm-7am so I never have to get up in the freezing cold

Jeanine - I can sympathise about missing firsts, but at least it's MIL who witnesses it and not a complete stranger who won't really appreciate it (tough life of a working mom )

Hi ladies! I have a LG Lily Mia born 20 September. Quick catchup on milestones / history so far:

has 6 teeth - popped out the bottom two on 6 month birthday and the top 4 on 7 month birthday. Since then all 4 incisors and bottom molars come up and then disappear again every month. We're at this stage now... So niggly!
Refuses to crawl or be on her belly - not for lack of my trying though! Just screams the house down. She shuffles on her bum if she absolutely has to resort to being in a seated position. Would much rather stand and have you hold her so that she can walk everywhere. Tries to pull up to cruise but seems to forget that she's ultimately responsible for her control of gravity and ends up on her butt! Zoots around in her walking ring as though she's the stig...
Slept through the night in 14 hour stretches from the age of 6 weeks up till Easter when she popped out her top teeth. Then started waking every two hours. Also only thing to calm her and get her back to bed was letting her sleep with us and feeding her. Still breastfed so it's easy to just go back to sleep with her feeding! Now we have intermittent sleep throughs. Last night she slept from 8 till 7 am. The night before was awake at 11pm, 1:30am, 4am and then 7:30... Each time I get her back to sleep and you could almost throw her into her bed she's so fast asleep. The minute her head hits the pillow she's wide awake! ARG! After an hour of this each time she wakes and both of us getting annoyed, cold and hungry, I resort to bringing her back to bed with me. We both sleep better that way and it works for us for now!

Completely sympathize with those going thru teething and night waking!

Cols, I'm even willing to take your fluke! Willem has been waking up at 3am EVERY single morning for what feels like forever
And then the ONLY thing that settles him is crawling into bed next to me, and having some milk.
I'll even take the midnight one! Then I can at least go back to sleep!
Oh dear, hope his ears aren't giving trouble again

Kerry, I agree - that bedding is adorable! Hehe on the tantrums, at least now I know Willem isn't the only one

PM, I see you mention Iz sleeping elevated, and rolling of the pillow. I put the pillow underneath the mattress, so the entire side is elevated - gives a gentler slope, and he can't roll off. Hope you can get some rest now.

AFM: MIL is on holiday for 3 weeks - in the UK! They left on monday already, so now SIL is looking after Willem, at MIL's flat. She also has MIL's LG (9years (adopted, before you gasp)) and her own LG (3 yrs) to look after.
Lets just say she is very releaved when I pick him up in the afternoon Although she does love him lots

So next week I'm taking leave, and visiting my parents!!! (and giving SIL a break ). No internet though - so I'll catch up again on Monday.

Apparently Willem is now standing alone for a few seconds at a time
I haven't seen it yet, but both MIL and now SIL mentioned it Ah well, I have to work

Willem has a - what is the best word - trolley? cart? walker? with building blocks in it. Last night he stood up against it, and walked so nicely! He kept on walking across the lounge, then DH had to help him turn, then he walks back to the other side!!

It was, unfortunately it was a fluke... 1 night only

Just got a call from school, Evan's right ear is oozing - LOADS... Back to the paed tomorrow @ 3...

PM - Poor Iz! She is really struggling, the teething probably triggered the ear infection... I hope she feels better soon!

Evan has a gooey ear again. Started yesterday. He was a bit congested yesterday morning and I saw a tiny bit of stuff last night when I picked him up. Needless to say this morning was nose spray and ear drops and me cleaning out his ear.

It looks like his 2 top teeth are coming down the gums.

His teacher wants to start weening him off his dummy during the day. I am sure its fine. Apparently he only took it to sleep with.

Is anyone elses LO waking at midnight for an extra bottle still?

Evan has 3 x 210ml bottles through the day and now is waking at 12 for an extra one. He then sleeps till about 7am. 2 nights in a row now. The night before he had his dinner and bottle and slept through (THE WHOLE NIGHT ) It was clearly a fluke.
