gaynor wow on first step xen not even crawling properly yet only army style and no cruising or pulling up either

missy - snap on no teeth but then in no hurry as lea had her 1st at 14mnths

missy - xen eats anything and every thing i offer but still mash his stuff but he can do biscuits, chips, biltong etc

as for birthdays what i do is set a theme every year in which u cna buy the stuffed toy that way they will have permanent reminder of it forever so for example lea's 1st b-day was smurfs so I baked blue cupcakes, white icing printed pics and pasted on boxes and invite - gave her a small stuffed smurf and also asked all the babies attending to wear only blue and/or white looked soooooooo cute

for 2nd b-day did the same with barney

for xen's 1st I am repeating smurfs but with grandpa smurf theme so its blue and red

other themes are jungle/creatures u can set animals in jelly leave small ones around for party favours

blow-up pool with balls is a great hit

oh and also didnt do fancy cake's rather gave a simple van cake blue icing and one candle and gave it to her solely to destroy/eat made a great video (guest got cupcakes)

relighting candles works best by 2 then they get the joke

mmmmm thats it for now i reckon

Ethan Has really shocked us this weekend by taking his "First Step"
He was standing alone for longer than normal then all of a sudden stepped & just paused he didn't know what do next... then flopped down onto his bottom...
He did it twice on Saturday We were so Happy that we were Both there to see it..

Nelria I am in the Jewellery industry, I am a Diamond Grader by trade.... Went for a job interview on Thursday, had to go back for my Calc test yesterday... So holding thumbs

Nappy Rash Ethans Bottom is still perfect All thanks to Corn starch powder... Its the best!!! He had a Runny Tummy last week & still no Rashes "Touch Wood"

Hi Ladies,

My lg turned 8 months on Saturday (12th) and is soooo busy.

She's been crawling from 7 months - holding on to everything now and stands - then she wants to let go thinking she can stand alone.

Not really saying words just mama - mostly when she cries and no and then daddy. She loves clapping hands espcially if i praise her for doing something correct

She undertands NO - coz everything goes to the mouth but as soon as i say no she stops - sooo cute.

She's only eating porridge, veggies and fruit. Ladies have you introduced finger foods yet? She is lazy to eat by herself, she doesn't even keep her own bottle.

She also loves screaming - must be finding her voice.
Im having trouble with the sleeping - usually she sleeps from about 09:30 and will wake for a feed once but on Sunday night she slept at 09:00 and woke at 10:00 and played until 12:00 last night she woke again at 12:00 and was playing in her cot - Arrgh. Please tell me this is just a phase. before she would just wake for a feed and sleep immediately again.

Im also interested in Birthday party ideas.... more months and our babies will be a year.

BTW - NO TEETH YET - she use to drool alot but not anymore

Would of posted sooner but only got a notification for Nelria's post.

I see a few of us are struggling with nappy rash - it's awful! Connor hasn't ever had nappy rash because he normally teeths with his chest but he now has a serious nappy rash that is starting to go up his back (like fine pimples) and the nappy rash worsens by the hour. This morning it was red, this afternoon it had spread and now by this evening, he has raw skin - but he isn't phased by it when I wipe or put him in the bath (I thought it would burn).

I tried sudocrem, fissan paste, bennetts and now my sister gave me maizena powder - she said it works like a bomb! So I've covered his dry bum in maizena and quickly closed the nappy.

Also put cuticura antiseptic cream on the other "not open" parts where the rash is because that's for nappy rash, pimples, burns etc.

Holding thumbs for all the moms to find work - I'm already stressing about looking for something next year because school posts are scarce.

1st birthday - please start sharing ideas for 1st birthday parties - I'm sooooo excited

Hi ladies!!

We on holiday for 3 weeks, and its raining so thought its about time to catch up.

Carli crawls, walks against furniture, stands alone for a few swconds before falling, claps, waves but no words yet.

She had broncitis last week and since then she just refuses to eat, she drins alot of milk but ZERO solids, and she was such a good eater. She stille sleeps from 6 to 6, with 2 short naps during the day.

My scar also itches from time to time... and to scratch feels sooo wierd almost like its dead LOL
