Hey ladies

Hope you're all well!

Connor is also saying baba and mama and makes the funniest other noises and movements with his mouth.

He has had 4 teeth for a while now and is teething again

Started school yesterday while I'm doing teaching prac and he's loving it.

He's also crawling properly but gets lazy and rather does commando crawling.

Sleeping - he also sleeps at 9:30 and again at 2:30 but been having troubles with him lately - think it's a stage really

Hectic at work all I can say.

From Ziyad. His two bottom teeth is just about to stick out( After the one I thought was a teeth dissapeared) He still wakes up around two to three at night which sucks but the other night it was so cute.I checked to see if his blankie was still on him and there I find him stting upright on his bum smiling at me was just the cutest thing.

He crawls only on his tummy all over,Tries to go on his knees struggles then tells himself what the heck let me just be a worm. He claps his hands,says mamamamamam,bababababa ,lets his frustrations known in his own baby language when he does not get his way

He refuses to eat purity. He wants his mamas cooking or freshly made vegies. I still try to give him the fruit purities.

Yes Sandra almost time for their nine month vacs yikes.

Lucyv, cant believe your little man is talking <sigh>

Shane is 8 months, 4 days, hes crawling and pulling up etc BUT ladies get a load of this he has 4 TEETH, YES I SAID 4!!! His 1st upper tooth arrived yesterday, needless to say he was grumpy over the weekend but I think thats also to do with the heat we are having in KZN. Shane is happiest when he's swimming in the pool with us so we spend loads of time in the water. Barely had any bad sleeping with this tooth, woke up once in the night other than that I'm happy with his 6:30 - 5am sleeping.

I'm still trying for the 2nd, I get the feeling this is going to be as difficult as it was for the 1st

Hey Sandra I cant advise on sleep training cause I still rock London when I need to. But I always make sure he is tired and he can go sometimes 4-5 hours without sleep and not even be cranky. So 5min of rocking and he is out for the count. But there are times he cant even handle 2 hours! So I just follow his cues and it works. If he is really tired there is no fuss in the day. Night he always goes down easy.

Guys so excited as this month has brought more new things.

He is clapping, saying Mama, Dada more and trying to open and close fingers for Tata! Tries to mimic a kissy noise haha and ends up looking like Mr Bean! Very funny!

He started crawling properly. SOOO FAST. We call him speedy! Also gets up and down on his own against furniture. There were loads of bumps till he learnt to get down safely so I am very pleased he eventually learnt how.

Then this weekend he started walking along furniture as well and can stand for a few seconds not holding onto anything.

Exciting times.

I also think he is going through another growth spurt as seemed to double his food overnight.

Next month he is 9 months and will be going for his measles and chicken pox. Not looking fwd to that!

yes yes been scarce but been hectic this side

quick break down - 3 holidays in a row(lucky me) - then 2 kids at home (holidays - not so lucky), got puppies 2 rottweillers(had eye and leg operation), selling house (frantically looking for buyers), failed an exam and fought for theosis (luckily got it - so graduating may)lea had croep (xen luckily not), looking for job(grrrrrrrrrrrr)

ok so long of short lol

xen is almost 8mnths and doing well - no teeth but drooling like loon, not crawling yet (only backwards LOL) eating like champ, sleeping like ridicoulusly stupid waking eery 2 hrs after sucessfull sleeptraining dec had 2 blissful wks in his own room doing 7-5 as soon as back home he is now waiking 2 hourly again - nothing i can do till moved to bigger house

Sandra - It takes usually only 3 days for sleeptraining to take affect - but I have only done night training not day!!!!! so have no clue to what to advise u to do except that they are moving onto 2 sleeps a day now one around 9 one around 2 - so maybe he isnt tired?

MRS SH - Shame man. I really have sympathy with you, but fortunately I can't give you any advice. Chloé goes to bed at around seven every night and then sleeps through. She doesn't cry or anything, just goes toe sleep. I guess she loves sleep just as much as I do! She is now 7 and 1/2 months and crawling all over the world. Her first two bottom teeth also made their appearance. We had a rough week last week. We couldn't get home, due to the flood in Bethlehem and had to stay in a S/C guesthouse in town. Chloé's tummy was soooo upset from the teething that we had to change nappies three times a night. But now everything is under control, except that she has upper respiratory infection due to being evacuated from home on a tractor.

Hey ladies

Hope you're all well!

Connor has just finished teething and now I'm starting - yes you read correctly, I'm teething! - freaking wisdom tooth that just wont' come through.

SH - Connor also went through a stage like that recently. I had to hold him down with one hand and tap his bum with the other so I was almost rocking him in his cot. The second I walked into his room with him, he would start crying coz he knew it was sleep time. It has gotten better and he only starts moaning now when I give him his blankie and dummy but then he calms down. I think it's just a stage (unfortunately).

Sleep training - I'm sort of doing my own thing until I decide who I want to follow or until I start to pull my hair out - so let me know how that book goes.

Potty - oh yes ladies, didn't post this past week but Connor went pee pee and poopie in the potty Had some mixed reviews from some but he seems to be doing alright with it for now.
