congrats morgan!

Eve- he's getting big! Soon he wont be able to fit into his newborn clothes- i think that goes up to 4.5kgs. Shame, maybe its the cold weather that makes him like that or he's just having an off day, must be hard on u tho. Hope he feels better. do u just use a normal pillow when u feed him? I'm mentally preparing myself for cleaning that cord, the thought alone gives me goosebumps!

Baby's cord - a little bleeding is normal - Connor's paed said as long as it isn't running with blood, oozing or smelling. I used Surgical Spirits and Weleda Wecesin Powder. First clean thoroughly with surgical spirits, then put a very little of the powder on the cord. The better you clean, the faster it will come off. Paed said sometimes moms are scared to "get in there" and clean but it's for the best. Connor's belly button still has some dry blood when I change his nappy but I'm still just using surgical spirits to keep it clean.

Weight - Connor only has to go back for a weigh-in in 2 weeks. They said he should be almost 4kgs in 2 weeks - shoo!

Preggie pillow - I hardly use the preggy pillow. DH uses it more to support his arm when he's holding Connor.

Niggly - Connor was very very niggly today. He was awake from 11:45 till 17:20 and then only slept for 2 hours. Not sure what is wrong. He moans and cries all the time and is only quiet when we hold him. I checked his temperature and everything is fine. A hectic night ahead!

lucy, u bought the thing that helps the tummy go flat post birth, how long do u have to wear it? U need to let us know if it works! I sometimes think i'm gonna be this big forever and i'll never fit into my normal clothes again, weird thoughts! Dont forget to give an update on how much London is weighing.

Hey Alex

Yes very sad about either not using things. Body feeling ok, just need to lose weight haha!

Yes mission for tomorrow to get him ready, bag and then also relaxed to go! But all works out! Had to go every week for 4 weeks for weigh in (tomorrow is 3rd). Then on 6th week vaccines and Paed visit.

lucy-i am so afraid that many of the things bought will end up in a cupboard and not used, oh well! We live, we learn! How often do u take London to the clinic? It must be such a process- packing his bag, getting him ready and God knows what else! How unfair ur hubby's out watching the game and u home! U need to get him back and go out as soon as ur body is up for it. How is ur body feeling? I was thinking the other day that i tend to sleep for 2-3 hours at a time and this must be a preview of times to come.
ronel- hope baba picked up weight.

Hey SImone - yes doing well, but I have my moments of frustration. I have learnt to sleep when baby sleeps at night so get a decent amount of sleep broken up. But that is fine as pregnancy prepared me for that with all my insomnia... so it just extends past pregnancy and I am now used to it. However London was very very niggly from 3am till 11am today and was fussing a lot. So thankful I got him to sleep at 1pm and could watch the soccer game! Viva Portugal... so jealous cause hubby is in a fancy hospitality suite at the game... pain!

Eve - haha regarding the showering and clean pj's... you and I are sooo in sync lol!

Alex enjoy the last few days and good luck it will be so soon now!
As for wedges... hmmm I used them a lot in the first 2 weeks as of this weekend I have actually been letting baby sleep without swaddling and without wedges (on his back or doing tummy time) and he sleeps so well. He cries a lot otherwise, he likes to stretch out a lot! And as for things bought and not used... YES LORD HELP ME... so upset cause there are a few things I havent and wont use now and didnt keep packaging and cant return...... such an idiot I am!

Tomorrow is London's 3rd visit to the clinic, Im sure he has picked up more weight, he is getting lekker vet haha! Love him, bless him!

Oh and Nelria we have started the bath time routine every night.
