Morning ladies :)

I am so excited!! That technique I showed you is from a company called 'the happiest baby on the block'. I emailed them as I see they do courses and they are quite excited for me to do the course! (well...she is amazed that a South African has internet firstly I'm sure!! She's American)

They also want me to write a testimonial about using the technique at the orphanage and include a photo of myself to put in their newsletter!!

I am more excited for this than the doula course now ;)

If the white is on the tongue and cheeks and doesnt go away when wiped (glycerine is good to use) then it could be oral thrush. Check with you paed.

I'm sure the mom's would like you to join in on their meeting if you want to?

Hello everybody! Hello new mommies - so nice to meet you all!

LOL@ ScribblingAl - thanks for the poo pic link! I have found some pretty interesting things on babycentre but never stumbled across the pooh page! haha. I'm pleased to report that Lia's tummy seems mostly better.

Bronz - I cut down my dairy intake a lot. I'd been having about 750ml of milk and half a block of cheese each day so I've cut that down a LOT. Will play around with it again at a later stage but right now I'm happy with the change and her tummy seems ok. I sometimes wonder how much of the stuff we have actually does affect them and how long it takes... luckily their tummies get less and less sensitive as the months go by. Lia doesn't struggle with cramps all that often anymore thankfully.
That is so scary about your hubby - so glad he is ok!! My goodness!!

You ladies who are studying make me envious! I wish I knew what I wanted to study. I've done a few years of law at Rau, hated it, dropped out, then I studied computer programming (MCSD.net) and didn't end up finishing it, after year of night clases... terrible. I need to actually be certain about what I want to study but yeah, I'm 31 and I still don't know. So damn pathetic!!!

Yoza - isn't it too cute the way they interact with each other! My son always wants to kiss and hug his sister - he is a bit rough but he adores her to bits!

Well done on the weightloss 1st Timer - just remember it took you 9 months to gain the weight so in all fairness you should give yourself 9 months to lose it again :-). Just keep doign what you are doing because it must be working!!!

Nelria - that is quite a small age gap - how are you coping?? They will probably be best of friends when they are a bit older though which will be awesome!!

Welcome back Bundle & Beansmom - we missed you!!!

Zulu - we should probably change this thread to 0-5 months then we can always make a 6-12 month thread after that as it is then that the babies start getting more mobile and independant etc. That sounds like it would work, not sure what the rest of you think??

Enjoy moms group Claudia! Glad you have a friend to take with to make you feel more at ease!

Where is Nicky - must be so hectic with working again that she hasn't found time to post. Nickyyyyy!!! How are you and Liebe doing??

Ok, I must actually dash but will chat again tomorrow. Take care everybody! Sending loads of *good sleep vibes* your way!

Hi everyone and all the new bloggers:)

@ Scribblingal: You should be able to get an irish passport as long as your hubbys parents were actually born in Ireland (EU rules), but a british passport requires you to have one of your parents born in the UK. I'm german through my dad and my hubbys british so James could actually get either, but the british made more sense since we dont speak german at home:)

@ Bronz the photo thing is def going to be an issue. We managed to get one with his mouth closed looking forward, but his tongue was sticking out a little and his baby gro had ridden up a bit to obscure part of his chin so its not okay. These rules are ridiculous, in a years time he is going to look nothing like his passport photo anyway!!!!

Going back to moms group again tomorrow, but this time I'm taking one of my friends who is also breastfeeding so that I dont feel like I have a foot growing off the side of my face:) Although I am feeling a bit better because today I was at lunch with one of the girls in my group (shes a friend of a friend) and she is having huge issues with her little ones tummy because of the formula. I felt like asking her whether breastfeeding really was so bad:( but that would have been just mean. Instead I suggested she give lactase drops before each feed to help digest the lactose:)

Hey ladies.

Welcome to all the new mommies. :)

I can't do Thursday, I fly down to CT. :(

I am studying through Unisa, the experience has not been bad over all. but had major issues at the start of this year.

Desiree: Dischem doesnt seem to have it any more. Are there any contact details on the blanket?

Adri: I am doing birth to grade 3 mainstream. But would like to go into special needs after working there for 4 years. Brave is not the word I would use, lol.

LucyV: Graeme does the same thing. Good to know it is wind and not something I ate. Although I have noticed it is bad after I have seafood. Any one have reactions to seafood though bmilk?

I feel like a real cow today Graeme is going through a growth spurt hehe. He is sleeping more today, that normal?

Next Thursday's good for me too. Looking forward to getting together again.

Adri, I'm doing (or should that be "pretending" to do) my masters in journalism at Wits. Are you ladies studying through Unisa? I did my undergrad and honours degree through Unisa. I loved it!
