Oh, I meant to add that I was re-reading some of our early posts on the April 2010 thread. Ladies, we've come a loooong way.

Yay ladies. Looks like we're set for Monday! I'm really looking forward to it.

Emily's officially too heavy for me. Threw my back out while attempting to pick up my 10kg little bundle, and am hobbling around like a geriatric, with a packet of frozen peas strapped to me. B)

Regarding the name change, I think we're also going to have to switch to the Toddler section one of these fine days. My little baby has almost grown out of her 6-12 month clothes, is on the last set of Cherub Tree poppers, and is putting on good displays of her mischievous, stubborn personality. I'm really grateful that those awful first few months are behind us, but on the other hand I miss cradling my little baby (without breaking my back). I initially had a few other things in this list, but then I thought about them and realised that I don't really miss any of them :silly:

I agree on the name change! But now what to change it too.

I will just pop the address in on the gps for the secret garden. I know the area quite well, so shouldn't be too difficult.

Jacadebra - I agree... we are not there anymore... don't know anything about that anymore... The other day I was holding my friend's 2 month old son... oh boy... I couldn't remember how to.... was very funny, but after a while I kind of missed that stage... (Only for a minute though...) I second that we change the name...

Welcome back kanyo!!! Hope to hear lots about you and your little one in this thread.

Secret Garden sounds like a great idea to me! Bronz - there were some directions on that dining out link - do you know where William Nicol Offramp is off the N1?? It isn't far from there at all.

Elamsmom - it is amazing. Each little babe is seriously so different. My daughter is so different to what my son was (he was walking at 9.5 months but he was much more "serious") and she is so chilled out (most the time). She crawls but has no hurry to go anywhere and just moves at a relaxed pace, pulls herself up, plops herself down. No urgency.. no darting up and down at all.

Today my son was trying to stop Lia from crawling past (rather abrasively) and she bit him on his upper arm!!! Blue mark there now! I was shocked! She's never bitten me or anybody else so hopefully that stays the same. He was being a bit rough so perhaps that is why lol.

Guys - I seriously think we need a new name for this thread - we will confuse people who read it lol. I think we've almost forgotten the newborn stage by now.......... lol

Fourways - Johannesburg
