Wow, I missed this forum and you guys sooo much!!!

Our adsl line was off due to the crazy weather the other night!

It seems like all of you are doing well! I had a lot of catching up to do!

Karla also struggles with the dummy, I have tried at least 4 dummies and now she seems to like the nuk... my luck she will like the expensive ones!! She still struggles and gags when I put it into her mouth!

Me, my mom and Karla went for a nice shopping trip today, I desperately needed new jeans, I don't fit into my old ones, as my bum is got bigger.... not too much though, but it did and I'll probably won't get it back in like a month or 2 so I went to buy new jeans! I am starting a new look for me as I am used to wearing tight stretch denim jeans that is bootleg, but bought two wide leg jeans and I absolutely love them... hubby said now that I am a mommy I probably want to look more sophisticated... hahahaha!!! Now I just need new shoes as well! I LOVE SHOPPING!!

Karla is doing her long sleep stretch now, unfortunately not later, but maybe that will also change!

Is anyone going to the Baby expo this weekend? Me and my mom are going on Friday, I got complimentary tickets from the Baby clinic at olivedale clinic!

Well ladies, have a great evening... I am going to have a nice bath that hubby filled with nice bubbles and all for me! He is sooooo wonderful! Then I am off to bed as I am VERY tired!

Bundle of Joy-Just goes to show not to listen to all the advice you get given ! I am hoping she eventually gets used to it as she has to learn to self soothe!

Mommy21 - I used Avent dummies from the time Luke was in the hospital just after birth. The nurses told me I should use it to help with the sucking action and the pead told me it wouldn't effect breastfeeding at all and its actually good for soothing them. Have had no problems with Luke at all and he loves his dummy

@Meags and Jac-She has a snotty nose which she got before the rash but her temperature is fine! I think I'll just stop using the Top to Toe and go get something gentler! And no she is fine not fussing @ all, I am the one who is stressing! We have a photoshoot on sunday hoping it'll clear up

My LG is starting to get used to the dummy even tho they warned me not to introduce the dummy before 4 weeks as I am breastfeeding and baby will be lazy to suck to hard! Jac which dummy are you using? I use Avent and she will sometimes gag when she is sucking is it maybe too big?

Jacadebra with regards to allergies, it is true.
If you expose little ones to animals from a young age they generally build up a resistance and even if they were to have the allergy, they overcome it quickly and are fine!

My tummy is mostly flat but there is defintely some more toning/ muscle retraining to be done. I'm sure it will be to my satisfaction in a month or two from now. Every now and then I try to fit in a few abdominal crunches etc, but it doesn't happen too often lol. I use to have a little sixpack before my son but never got time or energy to spend on tummy muscles after that. Now I'll settle for flat and toned if I can manage that lol.

Yay for getting the go-ahead Bundle. I'm glad somebody is at least keen to get back into action lol, I sure ain't.

Nicky - glad Liebe is better, yay! If your she was allergic to cats I think it would have manifest earlier? Unless your kitty slept in her bed or something that she never use to do?? I have 3 cats and two dogs so we may have some sneezy sniffyness at some stage too. I generally believe that if they are exposed to such things at a young age they will get use to it and be less likely to have such allergies.. but that's just my opinion

Lia only woke up at 1h30 and 4h45 this morning then slept until 8 so I had a great night's rest for a change yay. Wish I'd gotten into bed earlier though. She seems to be spacing out her feeds although if she is home and gets super cranky she wants to drink for comfort closer together as she doesn't particularly like a dummy. I manage to get her to suck on it occasionally which is more than my son would do but she wants MILK to come out of it hehe.

Mommy21 some ladies complained that the top to toe was giving their baby's a rash. So maybe stop that?? Even though you just use it for the hair, it still could be irritating the skin and spreading.

Has baby got any fever with the rash?
