Newborn and baby advice

Nope I havn't been , will go on Monday for the check up but at a normal doctor.When is it normal for your period to start again , mine started and now I don't know if it is right? Do you know?

I absolutely love this weather , I'm a winter person and in my world it can rain and be cloudy everyday.

Sjoe the eating right is hard for me Des , I just can not get my mind right. Shame and hubby is so supportive we were talikng about it last night but I have realized I am an emotional eater , so everyday I am board and what do I do , I eat oh and then I feel fat and then I eat again to make myself feel better. If I don't stop now I don't know where I would end cause no matter what I look like hubby still tells me I look beautiful.I just don't know how to get my mind right.

Well i'm off to Pick & Pay Liebe needs some formula and I need to see people for a change..hehe

Oh I wanted to ask , how will i know if I have to change to a bigger nappy size , I have no idea what to look out for.Where's the manual????

Sjoe, but it is quiet in here today!! I'm struggling today, all I feel like doing is eating - oi, and up till now I've been pretty good with the whole eating less thing, maybe its the weather? I have my 6 week check up on Tuesday, I'm wondering how that will go - have you ladies been for your visits yet? How did it go?

Yeah, keeping Liebe in an upright position after her feeds sounds like a good idea, I do that with Connor - I keep him upright for at least 15mins, I heard that it helps release the winds as well - not sure how true it is, but I do it after every feed!

Oh my goodness - you are so right, soon we will be speaking about solids, ha ha!!

I wonder why some clinics do the 6 week injections and some do they 8 week ones?? I just also hope that when Connor does go for his, that he won't get sick afterwards ... And I have to take Connor on my own because Hein is working - eeeeeeek, I think I will need some calming drugs for myself, I hope my little man doesn't cry too much, poor little thing!!

Des, it's been about a week now. It didn't bother me at first but now it's daily and more than once. I googled the internet and they say it might be the formula but I don't know.I will see how it goes , another lady suggested I keep her in a upright position after feeding so I will try that.

That all in one injection sounds a lot better than the 6 weeks injection where I think they get about 3 or 4.

It's scary how fast they grow , just a few weeks ago Liebe was drowning in her newborn clothes and now she fits into them and some are even too small.Before we know it we will be discussing solid..

Nicky - how long has Liebe been throwing up so much? Connor hasn't vomited yet (touch wood) so I have zero advice for you, but, I would also be concerned - cause I'd have no idea what to do!! I'm glad you have the constipation under control - well done!

Good luck with Liebe's vaccinations tomorrow - Connor is only going for his at 6 weeks because our clinic does the 6 in 1 injections and they only do those at 8 weeks! I can't believe our lo's are at this stage already - feels like just yesterday we were all talking about our 2 week old babies, etc

Have any of you taken your lo's to their first Paedeatrician visits? How did it go? What did they do, check, etc? Connor has his first visit on Monday, eeek, I'm nervous!!

Well I hope you had a good night. I jinx myself by typing how good Liebe is with the night sleeping. She was awake last night and refused to sleep , no matter what I tried she screamed.Well hope it was for one night only cause I have gotten so used to the quick feed in the middle of the night.

I have finally made her appointment for her 6 week vaccs , 13:00 tomorrow so I will give her some Calpol tomorrow before and rub her little legs with Arnica gel. I just don't hope she gets fever or any of the symptoms that goes with the vaccs as I have no idea how to care for a sick baby.

I'm also stressing cause she is throwing up after her feeds , not a little but a lot almost the whole feed.Don't know what is wrong. At least I have the constipation under control.

Des , wow congrats on being chosen.This is so exciting. It's so cool and you are going to have so much and and the pictures will just be so beautiful.I also buy that mag , used to but the your pegnancy and when Liebe was born I changed to your baby.

Well I must get myself out of the bed , planning on cooking a nice veggie soup today.

I'm watching Ugly Betty while Connor lies next to me in bed - and now I'm on Moomie - talk about multi-tasking!!

Anyhoo - hubby is back at work today, so I guess I will only shower at midnight - ha ha, a day in my pj's I guess!!

I guess winter is really here if outside is anything to go by!!

Ladies - I want to spill, wa planning on keeping it a secret, ha ha, but I suck at secrets!! Connor and I have been selected by Your Baby magazine for a photoshoot for the mag and its hapenning on Friday - I got the confirmation on Monday - I'm super super excited I must say, they've even called me to confirm our clothing sizes and their will be a makeup artist and stylist working with us!!! Wish me luck please, hopefully all goes well and the photos come out really well - if they do, we will appear in the magazine soon!! The coolest thing is that its actually my fave baby magazine, I have all the last 16 copies, he he
