Glad all of you are feeling better Jacadebra.

Glad I'm not the only one missing time with hubby. We spoke and decided that no matter what we do we will make time for each other. We used to take a bath every night (got a big round one) before Liebe came but now I really miss that. Think we have to start doing that again , maybe just at an odd time like 5 in the morning or 11 at night when Liebe is most likely to sleep.Hehe

Also gonna wait for the 6 week check up , before me and hubby have our little get together... I have to go next week , kind of stressing cause I don't know what to expect at the doctor.

I just wanted to go to Pick & Pay , got dressed and everything and now we have a storm here with hale and the works , there is no way I can manage on my own.

Do you know which body part they give the 6 weeks injections for the babies , I'm gonna take Liebe next week and i want to put arnica gel in that part so that it doesn't hurt so much. I was also advised to give her some Calpol just a little bit 1.5ml as it will also help. Shame I'm not looking forward to that , don't want to see my little princess in pain. Does anyone know the side effects of those injections?

The kids are a bit better today thanks for asking Des, still a bit snotty so I'm keeping everybody indoors until we are flu-less. Getting cabin fever staying home though... driving me dilly. Need to get out.

Yes, unfortunately a newborn can really nullify "hubby & me" time. I know it is hard but it really does get better. Until it does, try and at least have an hour or two where you and hubby sit down, whether you chat or cuddle watching TV or have a bubble bath together. You may get interrupted but make sure to get a bit of time together.
I was actually amazed when I had my 1st - I really thought newborn babies slept and we'd have TONS of time to do stuff... lol... but it doesn't quite work like that... add tiredness into the mix and things are totally different.

As for intimacy, I'll also wait until I've had the 6week checkup.. still a few weeks to go. I haven't really felt up for that anyway.. hopefully will do by then.

Lia seems to be enjoying sleeping in my arms more and more... gaaaah.. whilst I LOVE carrying her about, having a toddler to take care of.. you just can't.. jealousy, practicality. Meh. Oh well, will just keep up with rocking and walkign and putting her down as soon as she nods off.. then repeating when she wakes up and realizes I'm not there. My son tells me "just put her down mommy... come play" and I feel really bad because I can't or she will cry.

Oh well.

At least I got lucky and they're both napping right now (hopefully they stay that way for a bit so I can get some veggies peeled and other exciting household stuff lol)

Hi ladies - how r u all today?

Nicky - quality time with hubby? Sheesh, I agree, we are also struggling with that at the moment. It seems as if we are always busy doing something that involves taking care of Connor - or quickly grabbing a bite to eat before taking care of Connor again! Don't get me wrong, I adore Connor, but I miss 'closeness' with Hein - we were always so loving and caring with eachother and now it just seems as if are missing all that! After my 6 week check up, I plan to be intimate with Hein again, lol, but how on earth will we find the time? And at the end of a long and busy day, I'm usually so exhausted and not feeling remotely sexy - what on earth are we going to do?

Zulu - how's your little girl?

Jacadebra - r your kiddies still having snotty noses? Hope they're all better!

Chat to you all again later - this site is working well for me : )

*hugs*

Hi Everyone ,

Well yesterday I decided to try and increase my milk supply so I googled how I can get more and they said drink beer...Had to force it down my throat , now waiting patiently also expressing every 3 hour now during day time.

Liebe decided last night that she didn't want to sleep again but this time it was from 2 until 4 , where she gets the energy I seriously don't know. At least she is sleeping now , like a little angel.I just want to pick her up and cuddle her...

I don't know if you are experiencing it as well but me and hubby have no time for each other , everything is always a rush , I wish just for a few hours chatting ,cuddling. What do you do , the only thing we do together at the moment is eat at the table and then it's off again doing chores.I want to figure out how we can make the most of our time together.

Well have a great day ladies !!!

Shame Jacadebra , I hope your little girl get well soon.I'm with you on the "happy if they fall asleep straight after the middle of the night feeding" when I put her in her cot , then I start praying that she will fall asleep straight away cause that 3am in the morning and then staying awake is what gets me down.

Des ,I also have days where I don't know what to do specially when you have tried everything , nappy,food,love....and then hubby comes and ask why is she so unhappy , that's the point where I start to cry cause if I knew what was wrong I would have fixed the problem.Your pictures of Connor is so beautiful, saw them on facebook.

I have nothing planned on the 8,15 or 22nd of May so far for our get together.

Hope you ladies have a good nights sleep!

Chat tomorrow.

Sorry about your lack of sleep Nicky. It really gets frustrating when all you want to do is sleep and they have other ideas.

Des, my girl also only sleeps about 2-2.5 hours a shot generally. It use to be more like 3 hours but now having a cold she has actually been drinking more often. When we got home from the hospital she was breastfeeding every 3-4hours, now she is basically feeding every 2-2.5 hours... quite bizarre. I guess when her cold is better she will probably go back to every 3ish hours, i hope lol. In all honesty, as long as she goes back to sleep straight after her night time feeds I'm happy... it's the staying awake for hours or having to walk up and down the house trying to get her to sleep that frustrates me. Haven't had much of that the last few days luckily *touch wood*

You must post some of your pic's Joli took - would love to see them!!!

Good morning ladies!!

Nicky - sjoe, sounds like had a hectically sleep deprived night - Connor has not been sleeping that well either - only 2.5 hours MAX at a time - I also feel like a zombie!! Sometimes, when he cries I feel totally lost, oi, like Im still not 100% sure what to do always.

I had a friend anmd her baby come visit yesterday, she is breastfeeding exclusively and she made it look so easy, I was totally jealous - and again wished that I had just managed to get the breastfeeding right, it still makes me sad!

I got my baby pics from Joli yesterday, oh my word, they are stunning!!

Ok ladies - so, Connor goes for his 8 week vaccinations in May, I am going to arrange our get together at my house after that, I will probably make it for a Saturday - can you all maybe let me know which Saturday, from 8 May will suit you best?

Hope u all have a fab day!! Chat later :)
