Hi everyone ,

Sjoe what a day I had yesterday ,after posting Liebe slept well on Friday she decided to not sleep Friday night. She was awake most of the night , after me trying eveerything and crying my heart out she fell asleep. So yesterday was Zombi day for me ,I was so tired.

Des , congrats on Connor's 4th week b-day!!! The time really goes by fast and the rate that they grow at is even faster.Des , my mom told me to drink a lot of coke , it helps with the milk supply. My milk is now becoming less again, so I give Liebe only breast milk during the day (hope I can come up with the supply for today) and formula at night. A get together would be great ,you can count me in.

Zulu, glad you found us here , sjoe I would have totally freak out as well if milk comes out Liebe's nose. That's really scary.Well I hope that you get a few hours of good sleep sometime , I think it will get better as our babies get older.

Jacadebra , will defs try the dancing with baby , sound like a lot of fun.

Marijke , I tried the blowing air in the face and It works.

Well hope you have a great day , I know I'm gonna cause reading this thread and seeing that most of us is here again has just made my day.

Sjoe Zulu - so glad your little lady is fine - really really glad!!

My Connor sleeps on his sides at night, and I alternate sides. During the day if I have him with me in the lounge, he usually sleeps on his back - but he hasn't vomited yet *touch wood* so I don't have too much advise, I just don't know if I agree about cutting back on her evening feeds, in my book, a hungry baby is an unhappy one - Connor only cries when hes hungry, he he

Ok - I'm off to do Connors bath now, he slept a bit longer than usual, so bath time is a biiiiit late - oh well : )

My beautiful baby boy, Connor Troy, was born on 20 March 2010 and my 2nd gorgeous boy, Cullen Reece, was born on 2 September 2011 - I am very blessed indeed

That sounds pretty scary Zulu! Glad LO and you are ok, I would have been traumatised too.

In all honesty I have no advice. My son use to sleep on sides or back and I know he'd occasionaly puke in his sleep because he would have a stinky neck - but he never choked on it :-(. My little girl now sleeps on her back and I haven't had an issue - I just kept it the same as they suggested at hospital. I do sometimes put her on her side if I don't get winds out though.

Aaaah... I'd forgotten how nicely dancing with your baby to a good song can put an overtired cranky baby to sleep... if you haven't already tried it, try it! Also nice to get your legs moving and dance around to your favourite song lol.

Zulu, I usually let my LG sleep on her side when she was that small just for in case she vomited. That much have been scary, can only imagine!

I don't remember how old your LO is Zulu, but I wouldn't suggest dropping a feed before 2.5 - 3 months of age (this is if they have 6 feeds in 24 hours - bottlefed)

To everyone wondering, if it seems like your baby is holding their breath, especially when they sometimes cry (and it seems like they stop breathing before screaming) blow in their face, this causes a natural reflex to gasp for air.

Hi Mommies

On Thrsday nyt at 3am i fed LO 80mls as usual, i burped her and she dozed off.
Around 4 am, i heard her groaning, upon looking, milk was coming out of her small nostrils and mouth and was gasping for air.

I jumped and took her out of the cot and ran down the passage, Dh took her and blew air on the soft spot, and she calmed down, and she sneenez and cough for about 5 mins.

Lord was i scared, i peed ryt on my PJs
after she calmed down i gave her gripe water.
i held her on my chest till the morning
stl a bit nervous.

Mom said i should reduce her feed at nyt, that hasn't helped coz she cries when she's not full.

Any advice ladies?

Much love
Z

Hey Ginah! So glad you are happy with Dr Moller :-). My little angel is doing well, except her and my son have a cold but I'm sure they will be better in no time. It's great having all the familiar faces around after the new "downgrade" lol to the pampers forum.. so sad.

Zulu! What on earth happened??

So glad that Liebe is sleeping well Nicky!! Hope she keeps it up! Last night we were up hourly for my toddler (blocked nose and flu, LOL) and Lia was drinking every 2-2.5 hours... it was quite festive in our house.. like an all night kiddie rave.. resulting in zombie parents! haha. I should be napping while everybody is but instead I'm on here.. silly girl!

Happy 4 weeks to Connor Desiree! Isn't it scary how fast time flies! Feels like they were just born the other day!

I'm keen for a meetup - just let me know when and if I must arrange/ do anything and I'll be glad to help.

Hope you all have a fab weekend
