Newborn and baby advice

Elamsmom, that would be my fault - I work most Saturdays so am trying to bully the rest into meeting on a Monday... I'm also keen for Emily to interact with other babies. Whereabouts are you? Jozi? There was a Moomie meeting on Saturday (which I didn't go to because i was working), but it's nice to be on a forum like this - some of the ladies on this thread have met up a few times (before we went back to work).

I also get excited at every milestone. Sometimes feel really stupid - like crying when Emily started clapping - but it's all good. Try feel the protrusion. If it's a tooth, you'll know because it's really sharp - and it hurts like hell if she clamps down.

Elam has no teeth yet!!! But I can see one trying to break through at the moment. there's a tiny white protrusion on her gum. CUTENESS!!! Can't wait!!! Not sure why I'm so excited, but i am!

I would love to join u guys for a meet soon. Excuse my ignorance, but why MONDAY!!?*&%#$ R u ladies all SAHM's? if so, I'm soooooooooooo jealous!

I've been so eager for Elam to interact with other babies! The best I have at the moment is my sisters kids aged 4 and 10.

Desiree, yes I'd love the pics - they were so cute together. And yes I cannot believe that Connor is nearly 1!!!! I think he was the first of the April babies to be born, hey? Jacadebra, Lia wasn't far behind Connor hey - I remember because I was so in awe of your birth! And then Bundle. And boy was I jealous.

Desiree, I wish wish wish that you weren't making the Groot Trek. At least not right now. Would be so nice if we had a few more months with you round the corner.

@Jacadebra - Connor also has a big gap between those 2 front teeth, he he, looks kinda cute now though......but, will be very glad if it changes, lol

We went to our first "1st" birthday party on the weekend....which is kind of scary, because the little birthday boy is only 8 weeks ahead of Connor....sooooo......Connor is nearly 1 ???? holy cow!!!!! how did t his happen so quickly....feels like just yesterday I was on here sobbing about the sleepless nights, lack of shower time, and overall "daze" I was living in.....hold on.....that sounds like just last week, ha ha ha

Still think its pretty awesome we have all b een chatting so long!!

Most restaurants are closed on Mondays, but you'd think that places that cater for kids would be open all week... The Secret Garden appears to be open on Mondays. Why don't we try there?

Bundle of Joy, Luke is adorable. He looks like a model with the pose and the blue eyes, and not to mention those legs! He may not be clapping, but at least he's crawling, sigh. Very very cute li'l chap you have there.

Hi ladies, yes, I was nozzy, don't know what happened there...

Looks like all the places are closed on Mondays... Lemoon & Thyme is also closed on mondays! The secret garden in fourways is also a nice place to go to!

Here is a pic of Luke, he is such an active boy now, pulls himself up on anything and everything. And has fallen alot in the process, but that is what happens and he will learn from it, Crawls all over the place too.

And we have 2 teeth, they didn't seem to irritate him, but now he is showing signs of teething so am wondering if more are on the way.

1st day back at the daymom today.

I have placed my first order of home cooked food on www.healthybabe.com , we will see if Luke likes the food, I really hope so!!

Luke had the hearing test I think it was at 6 weeks cause we missed the one at birth, test was fine, apparently must be back at 1 year I think. I suppose its just a way of ensuring we pick up anything that may be wrong with the hearing.

ScribblingAl - YAY for clapping, that is awesome, Luke doesn't do that yet.
