Newborn and baby advice

Hi Ladies,

Tanya - how did your little one's vaccinations go, shame man, never fun. I've never given anything for pain etc before, but have had to use something to break fever on odd occasion.

Adri - congrats on finishing those exams, whew, hectic! Does Kara point yet? If so, you can ask her where's daddy and if she points to him when she says "dadada", .. you know! hehe lol
As for the Kossie - I still keep my swimshorts on at all times, but I'm starting to think differently and try not to let stuff like that get in the way of having fun in the water .

Shame Pinky, hope Karla feels better by now, not nice :-S

Amazing how they crawl faster to danger lol, Lia races toward the oven each time it is on. Drives me batty.

Lia turned 11 months yesterday... where have the months gone... jeepers!

I think I missed Elam's 1st crawl well, I don't really know cos it was like one day she was just crawling and I don't know when exactly she started. Being a working mom sucks sometimes.Grrrrr

Enjoy the crawling. I hope you are fit cos from now on, you'll never stop chasing her around the house and under the table.Heheheh

Elam used to crawl around in general vicinity where I was. Now, it's all over the house...she's not scared anymore...which just means more chasing for me!!!

Pinky, Elam's whole body got all splotchy after measles vaccine like she had a rash all over but luckily no other side effects. she didn't even cry when she got the shot, just a bit of a shock.shame

Am sure Karla will be just fine soon.

Ladies, I am currently loving the sound of "mama" after months of "dada"/ "tata" and the waving of goodbye!!! Tooo cute.

No walking yet but would win crawling race/marathon as she crawls super fast especially when she is going towards dangerous/harmful objects. it's as if she knows you'll say "NO" or take object away so she darts to get there quickly. Heheheh Still holding on while walking but looks like will definitely be walking by 1st bday in 2 months time.

Last night she got down from the sofa on her own!!!

Karla is having a really bad day shame... she has got such a fever and feel all together bad because of the measles vaccination last week... shame... I feel so bad for her... She just wants to sleep the whole time!!!

How are all you other babas doing?

@Tanyadk: Our vaccinations weren't that bad.My LG is now 10 months old and has been for about 4 or 5 now (if I remember correctly). Have no horrific memories. Sure she cried for about 3/5 but at other times, she didn't cry at all. some are more painful than others.

I guess babies are different and you may have a different experience but it's not so bad. but do have calpol or panado for afterwards even if just to relax baby.
