Newborn and baby advice

@ Jacadabra, shame that awful. Hope the water gets sorted out:)

What's worse than having no water for 30 hours... well, having a toddler with squirters and throwing up and pooping all over the beds, carpets... with NO WATER in the taps to bath or clean *arrrrrrg!!!*. Thank goodness for my pool - been boiling and using pool water for everything all day. Pfft. I wonder where my son picked the bug up from - he hardly ever gets ill and we haven't been anywhere really. I hope to goodness Lia doesn't get it.

What a fun day (NOT)

Not up to replying to everything right now.. BUT.. Beansmom, I wanted to say - hands in mouth is a normal developmental thing - it is also a comfort thing - at this age it is not always hungry - MIL must mind her own business. I'd go insane. Lia's hands are always in her mouth and when she is tired she sucks them all the time. If I fed her every time she did that shed be even waaay chubbier than she is already lol. I can't believe your MIL is so unsupporting of your b/feeding - I think she is probably just misinformed or knows very little about it, either way... I'd go batty.

I'll catch up again later.. hopefully not up too many times tonight but yeah.. won't count on it lol. Just hope my son feels better in the morning and that nobody else gets sick.

well luckily for me there seems to be a lot of overtime needed at the hospital i worked at last year. the only problem is that the sister in charge keeps cancelling me. I booked under my married surname so i am there 2 days this week and she is on leave. so i will have to see once she's back what will happen!

otherwise next month i am with the triplets 3 days per week, still doing french lessons and thinking of starting boot camp...
i have to admit since doing hardly anything this year, i am extremelly lazy!! considering i worked yesterday, i treated myself to a morning in bed today! haha

yoza: I forgot to say I also do that. I will put him back in his cot the first time he wakes but after that he stays in my bed and I don't burp him at night as I find it wakes him. Will only do it if I can see it bugging him. (That is ok right?)

Scribbling, I am here, just havent been commenting.

So happy I worked yesterday and delivered to gorgeous little nu-nu's. baby girl weighing 3,6kg and baby boy weighing 3,4kg. man they are soooo cute!!

As for the donations and formula, yip, they take all donations!! Anything you have to offer would be great

Seems we may no longer be moving to Ivory Coast Miami is back in the picture but departure date somewhere around January-April NEXT YEAR!!!!!

@ Scribblingal... good point - she has an expressed bottle every night to bond with Dad and that seems to go down without too much of a fuss... and then she gets her formula top up. Only doing topping up after the evening feed hoping it will fill her little tummy a bit more to sleep longer...

@ Yoza - also a Capetonian here... i know there is a thread somewhere on Moomie for all the CT moms... they had a get together in May sometime - i didn't go because miss muffet was still too small to tag along or to be left with dad... not sure if there is another one being planned or what?
