hi ladies.

Jo hope your LO is much better now. my LG is also very unsettled, struggle to put her to sleep during the day. but at night she sleeps by 9:00/9:30 and wakes every 2-3hours for feeds.
i always swaddle her. otherwise she keeps moving her hands and wake herself up.

Naomi hows de new job? LO coping without you? it will get better

my baby's eczema is bad, now its not pimples anymore. her face has discouloration, when it started it looked like she had been burned with hot water had to book dermatologist and she's on topical treatment.

Naomi - How is the job going? thanks for the reply..... Glad all is well on your side. I'm also still spotting and going for my check up on Friday. Good luck - hope all goes well.

Fay - thanks for the reply. Although not nice for you at all, its kinda nice to know that I am not alone. I've been wondering about giving her buscopan, as i've read so many positives on a few threads on this forum, but don't want to mess with the pead's plan and have her think I know best.... such a difficult one, so for now I'm sticking with the plan and taking it moment by moment. Today has been a better day, maybe the meds is starting to work, should see the full benefit by the week end, if it is refulx.....

Hi Ladies!
Sorry been MIA it's been a hectic last few weeks with Haniya, she wasn't sleeping, exact same situation as you Jo.

This week she's been much better, since we saw paed for the 6 week check, i've been giving her buscopan for cramps and she's sleeping again she's also sleeping longer now, from 2 hours to 3 hour feeds and naps. She weighed 4.5kg's at 6 week check and we also had the vaccinations OUCH! poor thing screamed her lungs out and then i also had my contraceptive injection.

She is also awake from 6pm until 10pm now and she loves it when her brother sings to her, she has the cutest smile.

Anyway, ladies enjoy your babies as much as i'm enjoying mine

Hey Jo, that must be difficult for you. Jasmine tends to that that sometimes but she will eventually sleep for a straight 2-3 hours. I unfortunately have no advice, other than to just rock her like that or maybe even try massaging her, sounds like colic...lets just hope things improve with time.I have started working again, can you believe it??

We celebrated 6 weeks yesterday, and we took her in for her shots this morning. She stays with a nanny, and my mom is leaving on Friday, I just don't know how I'll cope without her.Things are generally calm on my side, except for me, I'm so obsessive with my weight. I am still spotting, and there is a funky odour, sorry ladies... I am going for my check up tomorrow, hope it will clarify a few things...and my feet still look like vetkoeks!

So sorry I have no advice, but maybe try getting a second opinion from another paed...good luck, pop in and keep updating!!

Ladies have all been very quiet. Hope all are well.

A little advise please ladies . . . If any of you have had the same experiance and found something that worked, please let me know.

Bella is constantly unsettled... her arms and legs are going all the time, she grunts and moans and just doesn't settle. I find the only way she settles is if she falls asleep on the boob, but the clinic and the pead said I have to spread feeds out by 3 hours, as she is gaining too much and Snack feeding every 2 hours instead of a good meal every 3. She also only falls asleep if held and as soon as I put her down she wakes within in 20 minutes, grunting, kicking and punching..... sometimes she has crying spells (mostly at night). The pead thinks she has reflux and has perscribed Losec, but this will take about a week to take affect, in the meantime - what to do?

I have tried - Telament drops, gripe water, gaviscon. The only thing that seems to settle her is bennets collic mix, but I don't want to give this too often, so I only give her some at around 7 or 8 when the crying is at its worst.

Any advise, suggestions, or some tried and tested method would really, really be apprciated.
