Hi Jo, nice to hear from you... and Bella :) .Glad everything is going well with you...I typed a nice long response to everyone's posts, and alas!! all lost...

Thank goodness every one in the July group generally had no difficulty with their births and we had no horrible news...Thank God for that!!

Ok, lets try again.....

Dee - Bella is also a noisy sleeper. She is feeding every 3 hours, but could go longer in the day if I just left her. She is such a good day sleeper.

I am mainly breastfeeding, hubby gives a formula bottle at about 11pm. Our "routine" (Use the word very lightly at the moment though) is feeds at 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm, 8pm, 11pm, 2, 5 and 8.... so ya pretty much every 3 hours, sometimes 2 and a half. She does not sleep in her cot though. If I put her down, she will get niggly after about 20minutes and then build up into a cry. If I put her in bed with me, she may push through to about 4 hours.... so no sleeping very well at the moment. Can't get into a deep sleep with her next me.

I agree, if you need help or feel teary, its all very normal. I had real bad postnatal depression with my first child and I can encourage anyone feeling overwhelmed to get help. It doesn't have to be like that

Congrats to the ladies who are doing so well with the weight loss. I am like a hoover at the moment and have a craving for sweet things, which is really unlike me, but I just want cakes and cookies all the time

Newbie, thanks for the tip on babys weight and sleeping through. Lets hope for the best..... holding thumbs. Congrats on Sienna's weight gain...

Naomi - Good luck with work. Don't feel guilty, I'm sure its gonna be v, hard, but we all need to do what we need to do and quite honestly, love is not gonna put a roof over our families heads. I have a friend that had to go back to work after 1 week and yes it wasn't ideal, but her kids are no worse for the wear.

Bella's poo is also runny, but like pumpkin, she had a poo nappy with every feed in the first 3 weeks, now she only has 1 or 2 a day

Bella calls... gotta go......

Hey ladies,

I have started typing a response about 100 times, then Isabella seems to sense that I am other wise occupied and does starts getting niggly.

I have read all the posts though and have kept up with everyone's progress, as I read while breastfeeding, but haven't mastered the one hand typing thing yet. hehe

Bella was 1 month old yesterday.... my how time has flown.

Thanks to Patty, Noami and dee for keeping the fort going. I'm sure things will start picking up here as the post birth "fog" lifts.

The only others that are still missing now are Juandre, Ash and Mjabu

Ashababe, gorgeous pics, such a lovely family

Vicky, thanks for sharing your storey, mine was not bad at all, but the hospital staff were horrific and I would not recommend the hospital to anyone

Was planning on doing a long individual reply.... but missy has other ideas...... gotta go.... hopefully catch up later.

ok all, typed out a long response to each persons post and lost it all.. argghh!!

Sienna is 4 weeks today and getting more and more gorgeous every day.. Ah I am so in love

Ashababe, gorgeous pics, really cute

Vicky, thanks for sharing your storey, mine was also not a great experience, but after they lifted my LG out, I didnt care about anything else in the world.. Did you I read right, are you sterilised now.. your LG is gorgeous.

Dee - My LG also moans, but sleeping more than ok. She is feeding every 4 hours to every 5 hours.. But loves my boob for comfort. haha. I am also exclusively breastfeeding and loving it.. As for night feeds, my LG eats at 6pm, 10pm, 2am, 6am... so not too bad.. But becuase I am breastfeeding, hubby just gets up to burp her and I go to bed at the 2am feed.. Hope your LB cold has gone by now..
Thanks for your post, I agree, if you need help or feel teary, its all normal. I have had tears a few times, but its all normal and its good to talk about it..

I have also expressed and she drinks happily from boob or bottle, no problems..

sindy - congrats on the weightloss, I have lost 11kgs, so only 2 kgs to go as I picked up 13kgs, but I would like to loose 20kg as I was overweight to begin with..

Sienna has a routine already, very lucky, now just wish she would drop the 2am feed.. lol.. Research has it, when they reach 4kgs, they might drop one feed at night and when they reach 6kg they will sleep fm 6pm-6am... lets see..

naomicee - Sienna also picking up around 300-350g per week, so happy for her.. She is eating so nicely too.. Also with re to your weight, congrats.. Going for another weigh in for Sienna tommorow, so lets see if she is at the 4kg mark or over.. as for work, its totally your choice.. I seriously dont even think about work and really dont want to go back.. But i will have to...
As for baby's pooh, it could be slight lactost intolerance.. My baby's pooh is sometimes runny, but mostly like butternut and my pead said it is normal.. and babies that are breastfed will have runny poohs so I wouldnt stress too much.. My LG has a dirty nappy at every change.. lol!!
Also why werent you allowed out the house the first two weeks.. I have been out and about since we came home fm the hospital. Must admit it has been kinda tiring though..
My LG also loves bath time.. also during the day my Pead told me to wake her up every 4 hours for her feed, that way she will prob sleep longer at night..

Patty - shame about ur little one struggling with a pooh. I was told to rub my LG's tummy in a clockwise motion and it will help if she every gets constipated.. I told a friend and she tried it and it worked, so give it a go. I agree with your "me time", I also find that putting my LG in her pram and taking a walk to the dam, even though I am tired, I feel so much better afterward and refreshed.. And the 5km walk can only do me good..

Hey all you gorgeous mommies..

Sorry I have been MIA, been hectic, loving each moment.. However like everything in life, there has been some ups and some downs..

Well the first week of Sienna being home, she was an angel, all she did was sleep and I had to wake her up for her feeds.. The second week, she went for her 2nd weigh in and they were still very happy with her weight gain, but told me she might be lactose intolerant.. Anyhow had to give up all dairy, wow that was a challenge. Anyhow there was no change and she was still cramping alot and we then went to a chiropractor.. Still no change.. Shame I was in tears as every time I fed, baby would get cramps and my nipples were taking a beating fm her tuggin and pulling each time she cramped..

Finally after spending lots of money on natural remedies for intestines, giving up dairy and peservering with breastfeeding, took her to a wonderful pead.. He told me to eat all the dairy I want as my body produces lactose to make up my milk, he said no matter how much dairy I cut out, my body produces it normally. We also did a lactose intolerance test, and all was normal.. He also told me to mix telemat colic and gripe water together with some boiled water before each feed and give it to her.. She also suggested she might have something called "silent reflux" so she has to be given Losec twice a day now.. It seems to have gotten better, but according to him, its just something she must grow out of.

Well she is 4 weeks today, growing nicely and is such an angel, feeding every 4 hours, sometimes stretching 5 hours at night. I am loving her too bits and cant belive how much she has changed my life. I love watching her grow up infront of me..

Congrats to all the mommies, I will catch up on the posts as much as possible.. Hope you are all enjoying motherhood as much as me...

BTW here is the link to all my pics fm the birth... Enjoy
