Sienna Reese Snyman - 5 days old.

Went for a photo shoot on Saturday, it was hectic and Sienna hated it, but we got a few gorgeous pics. Will only get the rest in 4 weeks, but here is a sneak preview.. My heart melted when I saw this.

Hope everyone is well..

Hey all mommies and moms to be..

Wow what a hectic last 6 days... Its been an amazing journey and wow, my little girl is so so gorgeous.. I am in love, totally besotted with her..

Anyhow went in on Monday at 6am, I was so so nervous.. To make matters worse, my gynea moved my c-section from 8am to 10am as she had one lady come in with natural and another emergency c-section. Anyhow finally went in and the whole c-section procedure was terrible..

They battled to get the needle in for the spinal block, tried 6 times, was a little painful. I then had a reaction to the spinal block and started shaking uncontrolably, it was awful!!! I was shaking so bad, my arm couldnt stay on the the table next to me.. I couldnt speak or anything.. But hubby stayed by my side reassuring me all would be fine. As terrible as it was, nothing mattered anymore when I heard my LG's first cry. I was in heaven. And my gosh tears just came flooding. I was so amazed by her and even cry now when I think about it.. She is even more beautiful than I expected... Sienna Reese Snyman was born at 10h59 and weighed 3.265kgs and 49cm in length. Agpar was 9/10.

After recovery, the first night was a bit of a blur, but I managed to try and latch her.. It wasnt easy and the pain meds made me a bit disorientated.. So that evening I told them to please take me off it. I got up out of bed the first time around 8pm and went and showered and I felt much better..

The pain thereafter was not bad at all and I was up and about after waking up every 2 hours to feed. The feeding was the most diff, and my nipples were killin me. My milk came in on Tues night already and on Wednesday all day and Thur I really battled with lumpy boobs and they were rock hard. I was determined to breast feed and just stood in a hot shower and then put cold cabbage leaves on, every 4 hours.. I was going through the roof and still breastfeeding with all the pain. Its funny how a parent will do anything for their baby..

Anyhow left the hospital 10am Thursday morning and when I got in the ar, I felt so overwhelmed and nervous.. I think it was the 3rd day blues as all I did was cry all the way home..

Well Fri my boobs settled and after an amazing first night with my LG home, I am feeling on top of the world. I am truly blessed to have this little girl in my life.. She is wonderful and such a good girl, I generally have to wake her up for her feeds.. Breastfeeding is a breeze and I am so glad I didnt give up

Last night she slept fm 12:00-5:30am. And fed every 4 hours during the day. I have an abundance of milk. She hardly cries and is a very happy baby..

Just wanted to give you a quick rundown of the birth and let you know that I am so happy and feel so at peace and complete. Its truly amazing being a mum and was worth everything I had to go through.

I will catch up on everyones posts in a bit..
