Hi adies glad everyone is well and adjusting to their new bundles of joy....

Dee, Vicky, Newbie the pics are just too cute your nunupies are adorable....

My baby is 1 month and 3days old he is too adorable.... he wants to eat more now so i breastfeed and top up with a bottle coz he does'nt sleep when he is not full so a day i top up with a total of 150ml so 50ml each 3 times a day...

He is getting use of the whole thing a sleeps more now in the nite and during the day he just wants to breastfeed one way when i take it out he cries so im dairy cow lol....

Next week is his 1st visit to the clinic so they will tell me how he is growing.

Hi guys

Jasmine slept through out the night, I even woke her up for a feed and she went right back to sleep.Prior to last night, I hadn't had any proper sleep in the last week ,she sleeps throughout the day, then at night she wants us to "hang out", till 5:00 then she sleeps again only waking up for feeds and nappy changes.

Hey new moms.

Congrats to all, as we have all had our little noodles. Glad everyone is well and that all the little ones are well too!

I must admit that I am so relieved to hear that I am not the only mommy with a little night owl on my hands. Sometimes I get a little dispondant, cos she sleeps so well during the day and then at night she is so wide awake, not crying or niggling, just awake. So while I was catching up on everyone's posts, I was soooooo relieved to read that there are more than a few moms that are sharing my schedule.

Thanks ladies, as always the support provided is a heaven sent.

how r we all doing?
i am doing great and i am just loving Logan and congrats yetv again all u mommies, the pics of ure little ones are amazing.

I am just popping in as logan finally asleep and i want to have a cup of tea LOL so i am just posting a few pics for u to have a look at.

i am so loving being a new mom again, i am breastfeeding and he is eating like a champ! Loves the boobies big time

ok so here goes, this gonna be a long post so grab a cup of tea.

well firstly just wanna say thankyou to each and everyone of you there were some days where i honestly thought i wouldnt get through and then i came on here and one of you were going through the same thing or could relate and made me feel better if not by just understanding then by some really good advise.

little kassandra van der merwe made her appearance by c section on tuesday 20th july 2010 at 12;59 pm weighing 3.280kgs... and 53cms( tall girl like her dad) apgar of 9 and then 10 .

i went into hospital at 6am , got settled in they monitored her a little , picked up that i was having contractions...... ( from the friday before allready) going up 70 and above on the foetal monitor, so i was already uncomfortable. was told that i would be first so expected to be done early ( atleast before 10am) anyway eventually they started with the smaller procedures that the dr needed to do first. and i was the first of four caesars. the anaethatist came around at about 9 to introduce and discuss what method he would use. i explained that i was extremely scared and all the complications before. he was so nice and comforted me then and there and told me he wouldnt hurt me and i shouldnt worry.they put the emla patch on....

by about 10 am i was getting very annoyed and anxious and getting worse contractions. the nurses then came in and decided to put in drips and catheter in prep for theatre. ive only had the catheter put in after the anaesthetic previously and was not prepared for how uncomfortable and sore it is. just after 11am they came and collected me for theatre was so excited when they walked in looking for me. i litterally shouted oh thank god. they pushed me to theatre only to have to wait another 50 minutes outside theatre before they took me in. in the meantime they took my husband to get dressed for theater. eventually they came to fetch me, we went in and met the anaethatist they cleaned my back took off the emla patch and the anaethatist started.. he was so nice... before starting he said to me i know you scared but you need to listen to me and all will be fine... i said okay hesitantly, anyways he started... and the whole time talking to me.. eventually with the needle going in i jumped and pulled away and thats when he said to me to push backwards into the needle i listened to him and within seconds the needle was in and the spinal was done.. i was amazed cos this whole time this was the one thing that was worrying me he also gave me extra meds cos of the probleme i had experienced before with vomiting and bp dropping in theatre. didnt feel bad at all in theatre... they pulled kassandra out and boy oh boy did she let the world know that she was alive and well. i remember thinking wow she is so beautiful.. my gynae actually said to me ... okay so now with having such a beautiful girl are you sure you want the sterilisation and allthough i would love to have more children i answered him quite quickly and said yes definitely , kassandra was wizzed away with my husband to the nursery to be weighed and checked and identified.i started to feel very heavy chested..and was just taking deep breaths. they finished off in theatre and i was taken to recovery. ... i told the sister that i felt very heavy in my chest and i was batling to breath they said that my oxygen intake was very low and it is possibly from the spinall moving up to high in my chest , this apparently does happen. anyway spent about half an hour on oxygen and then was taken back to maternity... wasnt long and they brought me my husband and kassandra so that i could feed her she latched perfectly first time. after about an hour or so i felt my bodys getting feeling back so asked for painkillers.. didnt feel too bad then i started vomiting in reaction to the anasthetic, not nice.. not long after starting itching uncontrollaby apparenly a reaction to the morphine used inside the spinal. and then pain and lots of it. but i put on a brave face and pretended nothing wrong , i kept kassandra by me , the nurses still comented how strong i was... ha ha right and mean time i was in a lot of pain.. i couldnt move without pain. i battled to walk i battled to sit up in bed. it was really terrible. eventually 2nd night it caught up and i asked them to take kassandra and only bring her to me when she wanted to feed sometimes at 5 hour intervals. on thursday the dr came around and said okay you a third time mom, you discharged you fine. and all the time im thinking what the hell is wrong with you third time or not im still in a lot of pain and the sterilisation made the pain ten times worse.anyway didnt say anything by the time the paed came around he was asking me whats wrong are you geting sick and i just said no,im just in a lot of pain, shame he said to me if im sore i should just stay the extra night cos the medical aid pays for 3 nights... anywas didnt want to go against dr so decided to go home. before leaving they gave me a suppository to make my stomach work and i must say that i felt better after that, left the hospital and went home only to get surprised the friday with having a house full of guests of family from durban , it was really nice having them there to share everything with us cos the hospitall stay was very lonely... as the days are going by i am definitely feeling better and my husband has been an absolute darling this time round he really outdid himself in every way. i love him so much , he took care of me and the kids so well and even now i feel as though ive got my husband back after a long time... somehow its almost as though our love has been made even stronger.

Dee your LO is too cute

Ladies, in the first 2 weeks my LG was only waking up twice at night, 3am and 5h30am but for the past week she sleeps okay night and the next she wakes up every hour to feed and she is drinking 125ml bottles now with each feed!! There is already rolls of fat lol

Last night she was up from 12h30am until 5am and is sleeping now only!! i was nearly in tears, she wasnt crying or crabby but she would just stare and look around the room all night and if i tried to get her to sleep she would moan LOL so yeah, i'm like a zombie today...

Oh yes Dee, I also had the shiver's about a week after i had her, no fever or anything but just very cold! My cut is also healing so nicely, i'm using bio-oil for the scar and the stretch marks
