PAMPERS JULY 2010

Hi all

been a minute hey, everything is just so hectic, baby Jasmine is 2 weeks old tomorrow and she refuses to let me out of het sight for more than a second! She spends more time awake, than she does sleeping and she is such a daddy's girl. Well we spent this past week at my mother's house and boy was that fun, then came back to jo'burg, s'ans mommy dearest unfortunately... she was doing everything for me, and now I have to do everything myself and still look after Jasmine, daddy helps out a lot through.Congrats to everybody, hope everyone is recovering nicely... handsome stud dee

Hey everyone,

So now that most of us finally have our LO's and all settled at home, how is it going?

Sore nipples, lack of sleep, slow healing, post partum depression? Is everyone feeling ok?

My LB also sleeps mostly during the day, and wakes twice at night to feed, which is also ok. He sleeps well in the morning though, so for now I have been able to catch up on lost sleep between 7 and 10 in the morningm, which is great.

My Mom is still here, so I am still getting b/fast, lunch and supper made for me And house is being cleaned, washing is being done, etc... I could get use to this

One thing though - my recovery from this c section seems to be taking sooo much longer than my 1st one. My incision still hurts quite a bit and y day I went back to the pharmacy for some more pain killers. I didnt get a chance to go the dr though for a prescription, so all they could give me was panado's they say.... what help is that?? Apparently b cos I am breastfeeding, they not able to prescribe much.

The other thing is that last night I woke up with these uncontrollable shivers.... have no idea what it was! Had to even stop nursing as it was just too cold for me too have any part of my body exposed. Took me an hr, with 2 blankets and 2 gowns, before I felt normal again... it was quite scary. I have googled c section infections as I seriously panicked thinking something horribly must have gone wrong, but I have no other symptoms...... my wound seems fine and is healing nicely.... I didnt have a fever with the shivers, it was really just that. I am going to go to dr and have it checked out anyway, but still... anyone have any idea of what this may be??

As I said my LB is very passive, so UNLIKE my LG who kept me out of sleep for the most part of the 1st 3 months.... I just hope he stays like this

Note ladies, I dont want to scare anyone, but all the books say that the 1st week or so is fine, however babies do find their voice after 2 weeks or so.... and this is also when/if colic starts.... so the worst part is between 2 - 8 weeks after birth..... I am just warning ya'll as this is what happened to me last yr, and I honestly thought I had done something wrong.... my sweet newborn went from a quiet baby who always slept, to a screaming newborn who never slept.

However this doesnt happen to everyone...... so I wish you all the very best )

my princess is behaving well so far, she's more awake at night thou for feeds. so I make sure to sleep with her during the day so I get enough sleep.

Thanks Jo, ah she is too precious. Everything is going well, she sleeps 3-6 hours, mainly 5-6 hours at night and 3-4 hours during the day. She really is an angel..

Bronwyn did my pics, here in CApe town, she did my preggie pics as well. I love them...
