Newbie and Majbu - where are you ladies?

Hope all is ok!!

Jo- I know what you mean. I was getting really concerned about my baby shower as my SIL seemed to be leaving it late. I went last night to baby city and bought the last of the things I didn't get and now feel so much better.

You hubby sounds so sweet planning all of this and I am sure you are going to feel so special!!!!!!!

I must share with you ladies:

I've had a few questions about a baby shower and my response has always been "O no, people don't have showers for 2nd babies, do they?". But actually my reasons are a few personal ones, mainly that most of family and friends are in GP, also (although I haven't said so to anyone) my sister and BF are in Jhb, so no one to arrange things and honestly I would rather not have a shower than ask someone to arrange something for me (not that there is anything wrong with that, I'm just not made that way).... so any way about 3 months ago hubby also asks me about a baby shower and I'm like no, no ladies don't have baby showers for their 2nd babies, so no there won't be anything. And he was so sweet, he was like "babe, thats not what I hear...., you can and should have a shower, so please leave things to me" well I was in floods of tears, that was just so sweat of him, he really wants to make things special for me, so it would seem that he has taken this upon himself. - cute man!

Well the last 2 days he has been quite stressed and it would seem that the challenges of getting the right people, in the right place at the right time (all before the world cup and air fare goes through the roof), is proving a little much for him. Shame man.... my hubby is a real "mans man", so I just love him all the more for trying to arrange all of this, in a pink and girly kinda way - hehe - too cute!! think i've said that about 10 times now already. When he asked me back then I said that the last week of May, first week of June would be a good time, as that gives us June pay day to get the last few things and then baby can arrive anytime from then on. But last night he asked me if the first week of July would be too late (and um YES it is too late), I just said that its not the best timing, but it won't be a problem! Damn ladies, I wanted to have everything sorted by then, everything bought and set up and washed and packed and ready, not running around buying the last minute things that we didn't get as gifts.

Anyway, in my heart I'm hoping that he said that, so that I won't think its this week end or next week end and I think the time is getting a little closer, cos twice in the last week i've asked something, or mentioned that I would like to do something and he'll be like "mmm well, I can't really answer that right now for obvious reasons.."

So ja.... all this didn't bother me when there was nothing planned, but now that it would seem that there is something in the pipeline, I'm getting quite curious!!

Newbie - you've had yours already and Ash yours is this week end...

This internet at work has been so slow and i think it must drop inbetween, sorry about double posts ladies, i dont know WTF is up with this crap internet.

oh no Vicky, i am so sorry about that. my thoughts are prays are with u all, like u say its the 3rd thing to happen and u know they say things run in 3's so lets hope thats the last of it.
i agree, get home tell hubby get take aways and have a early night even the kids will be exhausetd after that. shame man

JO i have a friend exactly the same, as i say some woman are born to be mothers and some are not, she keeps asking me questions and then when i answer she says good luck with that, she also drinks alot so she says she can never be pregnant and now with my baby shower next week i asked lets make the place look a bit festive and get some balloons etc and she says balloons are NOT for a baby shower, oh well who gives a dam, the kids will love them afterall whats a party with no balloons, i have 2 friends here in CT and since i have been pregnant i only seen them on the braai that we had for my hubby birthday in how many week?
made me realize exactly what kindda BFF's they are!!!
