Betty - what on earth were you doing awake at 3 this morning - I was up feeding Amelia and saw you'd just posted!

Schatsie and mistymom - yay for your gyn visits today. Can't wait to hear the news!

Tazzy- it must be so sweet to see Amelia laughing in her sleep. Happy baby
Wow your tummy is so flat already, can't see any rolls there. I know that I so won't have a flat tummy for many many months. You see very lucky and are looking great.yay on DH coming home, that extra pair of hands make such a difference. How is Hannah now? It's so hard when they are sick.

Cath- your DH is great doing the 6 am feed and letting you sleep. How is your routine going?
Anoying that you never saw the paed- but wow well done on William's growth. So pleasing to hear. Are you still giving him EBM?

Kimika- always feel sorry for the little ones getting injections. I think that it is worse for the parents to watch. Shame - baby does not know what's coming. I used to breast feed M at the clinic after the injection to calm him down if he needed it. And then later on I always had that bottle of formula ready. I know that some moms BF while LO gets the injection. For the most part M just used to get a bit of a fright and perhaps let out a little cry.
Well done on Reuben's growth.
Wow all the babies are all growing so nicely. How are you coping with the 2 hour feeds. It can be exhausting. Hope you are managing to get some rest in between.

Rakker- glad you feeling better today! A little reassurance with a visit to Gynae can do wonders! Not too long to go now! And 3kg already. Gynae told me 3 weeks ago my lg was 2.5 kg- so will see today how much more she has grown.
They do manage to get the feet and hands in the oddest positions that can be very uncomfortable.

Schatsie - will be thinking of you today, I hope your BP has dropped. Glad you have taken the extra pills, high BP is not good for you. Do you normally suffer with high BP or is it pregnancy related?
Soon soon you will get to meet Arno!
Well done on completing your hospital bags- ready in case you need them today!

Emsmom- I must really try and get the picture posting right. I always post from iPad - but will try posting pics from pc. It only took me about a year or 2 to get my ticker working

Lucy- you are also on a marathon feeding cession. Hope the shields and lazer bring you relief! Cracked nipples are so painful. Lol on Madam Boof boof! One wonders what they are thinking...

MistyMom- hope all goes well at Gynae. My appointment is at 4.15 - hopefully I am not longer than the allotted 15mins!
Sounds like you have been very busy. I still need to get cracking on my Uif forms- so depressing....

Thanks everyone for the wishes for M. He is still run down, with watery eyes. But seems to be on the mend. He is always so full of beans that sometimes it is difficult to tell that he is sick. Then I get to the dr and she tells me that he is very sick and I leave with so much meds. Anyhow day one of antibiotics gone - 9 more to go.
Stopped at woolies today, the stand for the moses basket I wanted has been sold out. I may get another style that they have, or otherwise I will get the one from the blind society - else I will just put the basket on a table or something...
Anyhow I ended up buying this jug thing for washing babies hair. I have been wanting to get one ever since M was a baby, but DH said it was a waste of money. Of course when DH got home he wanted to know if I bought it or if it was a gift! Got into a bit of trouble there...anyway I can still use it with M - who screams when the slightest bit of water goes into his face. I also bought a baby grow- but packed it away before DH had a fit about that
I took M to the toy shop, had to get a small gift for one of his class mates- it's like his favorite thing to do these days- surprisingly he was very well behaved and when I said it was time to go, he happily left, without any toys or complaints!

My tummy is feeling heavy and was slightly itchy yesterday, Guess that is
from being stretched. Looking so forward to baby's arrival, let's see what gynae has to say later...will keep you posted!

AnjeD - 41 weeks pregnant...I woould have refused to leave the hopsital! LOL Really hope that your time comes very very soon...you must be ultra excited! I dont think many of us have your patience!

Joli - oh what a nightmare about your car! That is the last thing that you need! Hope it all gets sorted with the insurance company! (shame more paperwork after all your UIF). Thank you for the link. She looks good...will look into it! Showed DH the pic (england teddy) that you posted and he love sthe idea..so we will hopefully do something similar. Baby already has its own little repleca United baby rompers...shame if its a girl she will just have to wear them! As for the lady having the party...very selfish asking you just to leave your car! She does not deserve your talents (although sure you would have preferred to do the shoot and not damaging your car!)

Schatsie - LOL you better be taking those BP tablets...although secretly I am hoping fro you to still have high BP tomorrow! I know how badly you have suffered through your pregnancy and just wish little Arno to you ASAP! Ya I had internet probs earlier in week...so annoying when you want to get on moomie! I can read on my BB but it is not ideal and i hate posting from my phone! Hope your bags all packed by now! dont froget the PJs - LOL...remember when we were all going through that! LOL thought i would be the "nagging mother" and send you a SMS! I know that i would be tempted not to take, but as I think Meags said...rather you be as fit and healthy as you can for birth...

Meags - glad mom has been helping you out so you can get a little rest. Also fantastic news that DH is helping out...maybe this is what your relationship needs. I have cooked plenty meals (our freezer is full!)

Betty - hope M is on the raod to recovery...poor little one! My baby is also moving around less, although still having little dances here and there. I am enjoying them as know I will be missing them soon! Book case sounds so nice! Cool to have a DH involved like that!

Tazzy - you so right...really do not know how single moms do it! Cant beleive your after birth pic...lol my stomach last looke dthta flat when I was 17! You really are looking good!

Cath - wow what growth! Must be so exciting to hear news like that, guess you dont notice it when you see them each day! Glad to hear all going well! Hope to join you in the world of mommyhood soon! you are so right...we are all truelly blessed to be expereincing this all.

Kimika - wow what a brave little angle! Think we will also be going goverment route (just makes sense price wise!) Would rather keep all our MA savings for emergencies for baby (hoping we dont have many!) Calpol...presume that is something I should stock up on? Speaking of which please all you experenced mothers...what meds should i buy now so have when/if I need for little one? I am clueless!

Rakker....the time does fly....i rememebr been 34 weeks and everybody was poppoing and I felt so left out and now all of a sudden Friday I will be 38 weeks! Glad you are in a happier place

Emsmom - sure it was nice having breaky with the new family! SHame hope your cold goes away soon!

Lucy - a selfish post is better than no post! Wow it sounds like all babies are on a growth spurt! Thank you for the tip! Bought nipple shields the other day for "just in case" so feel a lot happier now knowing I have them. Also shame could not picture sending poor DH out for them if all of a sudden need them! LOL at noisey poos! Sweet

AFM....got gynae tomorrow at 4.30 so really hoping he has some good news...just hope baby has dropped a little. Today i did the last of my running around (typical had to pop into office to sort something). Had car washed and filled up, got ids etc certified at police station for birth registration. Finished the last bits of UIF paperwork which needed doing...so that is everything off my list done! YAY. Tomorrow spending day with mom...last bit of baby shopping and lunch. Then from Thursday onwards i will be doing nothing (well just washing all baby stuff). I woul dlove 5 days to me chiling then anytime from Monday the oven door is welcome to open cos this bun really can appear anytime afetr that. Earlier I was just sitting in the nursery. Almost started crying....was just looking at how lovely it all looks and cant beelieve that the time is almost here! I have wanted this baby since a teenager and now its going to happen by teh end of the month! Sometimes just still cant beleive it. I remember doing my PT at home then driivng to go do the blood test (at about 10am) and they said to return at 2pm for results...that wait seemed like forever and i remember opening it and was all frantic cos nowhere did it say positive or negetive...took me a few minutes to work out how to read the results! And when i worked out it was positive wow wow wow i cant explain that feeling, so seen this little chipolata fo rthe first time is going to be I am sure the best feeling in the whole world!

Hey Friends!

A quick selfish post just to let you know I haven't fallen off the face of the earth - LOL!!

Sunday was definitely a growth spurt, with 12 and a half hours of feeding in about 19 hours, My nipples have started to crack so I am now using shields and having laser on them to try heal quick sticks so I can get back to "naked nipple" Ha ha ha! So anyway I am bush whacked from sunday and then any free gaps I have now get taken up with trips to the physio for the laser.
Tip for the about to be Mom's ........... as soon as you suspect a growth spurt USE YOUR NIPPLE SHIELDS for the day. Damn I was so silly. Didn't even cross my mind. Was just worrying about keeping my milk supply going!

Tessa continues to be an angel that brings us so much joy. She makes the noisiest poo's. DH has nearly dropped her twice he got such a fright. I call her Madame Boof boof. She is so cute as she sigh's and pulls faces and furiously waves her arms. Today I just laughed and laughed as she folded her arms to do "it" and then I swear she had a chuckle afterwards too.

I hope to catch up soon and good luck to all those having babas this week.

Schatsie, as much as I know you would love to have baby in your arms well, take it from a mom who had to watch her baby in ICU for 2 days, you really want to go as long as possible. I know its hard, I was also praying that Kate would come early, and because of this I felt such guilt seeing her on icu.

Kimika you are braver than me to be in the room while rubeun gets his jabs. I could never watch Em have hers and I wont be able to with Kate either.

Cath glad to hear that William is growing so nicely!

Tazzy you look FAB! Well done girl! My tummy is also slowing getting there, I can see it getting smaller every day.

Misty, those pics are stunning! You look wonderful. Not long to go now for you I'm sure.

Meags, I'm glad you got some sleep today, I really hope this calm down for yo soon. Also wonderful to see that DH is helping out so much with Mat.

Betty sorry about M's ear infection. Hope it gets better soon. Lovely about DH doing the bookcase. Please post a pic.

AFM, Kate is still a little dream, she has dained 160gm in the past 5 days, so growing nicely. She is now on 3.65 (lost 400g while in hospital) Em is back at school today, so DH, Kate and I went out for breakfast and did some shopping. Got a bit of a head cold which is not fun, but sure it will be gone soon

Sorry I'm so quiet today - our ADSL was super slow this morning so I couldn't get onto the site and I'm still feeling very unwell with this cold/flu so have been in bed most of the day. I did manage to finish baby's bag for hospital and started packing mine just in case I need it tomorrow.

Mistymom thanks for the sms LOL! I've been soooo tempted not to drink those extra blood pressure tablets, but am too scared that it will harm baby or me, so I have started taking them, but I'm still hoping dr might take baby out tomorrow! I really have had more than my share of discomfort with this pregnancy and am SOOOOO looking forward to meeting my son! Also, if he does come now it gives me more time with him at home, since I only have 3 months ML.

Cath wow, 8 centimetres growth! What a champ!!!

Rakker glad to hear you're feeling a bit better! This waiting game really is so hard sometimes!

Tazzy, OMW you look FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!! I bet no one will believe that you even had a baby recently!!

BettyF shame man, sorry to hear about your poor son's ear infection! That can really be very painful and unpleasant for them!

For all the sympathetic ears, thank you. Today I feel much better and have made peace with the fact that I will have to wait about 4 weeks for my LG to be born. I mean, that is really not that long. I will probably go through a bad patch again, I know, but for now I am content to wait.

The gynae says there is still no sign of her being born early. She weighs 3kg now, so het growth has slowed down a bit. If she keeps to this pattern, she won't even get to 4kg at 40 weeks (please please please let her not go past that). Everything still looks perfect for natural birth. She is in the correct position, her head just above my "bekken" (heck, what is that in English?), so according to the gynae, she should engage within the next week or 2. Only if not engaged by 38 weeks, will she even talk about the alternatives. And she says that, even if LG is biggish, she is probably tall and skinny, as het femur length (ahem, attention Meags... ) measures at 39 weeks already (I'm at 35 weeks, 5 days today).

So, I am in a much better place today, thank goodness. And my LG is still a flipping gymnast. Sometimes I wish she won't jump around this much, because it makes my insides feel all funny at times. And her darn foot under my right boob can really kick hard at times. But hey, I will probably miss it after she is born, so let me not even sound as if I am complaining.
