Tazzy, so proud of you for doing the gymwork! Shoo.. I need to get my butt into action - literally!! Your photo looks fantastic! Why are you complaining?? You dont even want to see my tummy I have a roll/pouch so I dont think it has anything to do with teh c-sec, rather I would say its the skin having to stretch twice to accommodate a whole baby bump and as we get older the elasticity is just not enough to get the pouch to jump back - hence the planned tummy tuck in a few yrs time

AFM: Took Reuben for his 6wk vaccination today (although he was 7wks yesterday). So we are doing the gov route, so he got two different kinda drops orally, one is rotavirus and other the polio. And then he had 3 injections!! Poor baba!! If you do the private route I think its only 2 jabs. But he was such a little champ, she warned me that he might cry severely but he only cried for first jab and then calmed down for others and as we picked him up he stopped. Shame.. he is such a little angel! Hopefully he wont feel too bad afterwards. She said not to give any pain meds as they have now found it affects the working of the vaccination. For pain breastfeeding is best remedy. If you cant break a fever then give about 1 to 1 1/2 ml Calpol, arnica on legs for pain in muscles and then bennets or something for cramps. And then in 4wks time we do the 3 jabs again. I only pay the R70 consult fee.

He did another great growth. He is now 4.5kg, 57cm and head 38cm. So in total he grew in 2 1/2wks a whopping 650g in weight, 3cm in lenght and 1cm in head And he is def in ANOTHER growth spurt as he has been wanting to feed every 2hrs since Saturday. Ive had to give him another 50ml each day of nan just to settle.. hungry hungry

Oh my word finally time to catch up!! Everything so great – Lucy I can relate!  - but my goodness where does the time go!!

Joli, I’m really holding thumbs for you that the insurance pays! What is your dh upset about that they wanted to come collect you or that you didn’t go?! Shame I suppose they were desperate and just trying to make a plan I’m sure they didn’t mean to offend you?

Meags, I was thrilled to read your update! I also hope it just gets better and better. Also glad dh is pulilng his weight and it must be amazing ot have your mom there. my mom comes over every second week for a few nights – she doesn’t get up at night time for W obviously that’s mainly me as dh is working and would probably die LOL he does the 6am feed and that works really well so I get a good long stretch of sleep from 2/3am but anyway she comes for a few nights every second week luckily she’s such a pleasure to have around and gets on with dh but just having someone to literally ‘hand’ the baby to and go shower or pump or whatever is such a blessing.

Mistymom those pics!!! Wow really beautiful and creative and lovely! You and your dh look so in love and he looks so excited! LOL re the Vaseline!!!

Tazzy re the laughing in the sleep isn’t it jus the cutest thing EVER!! Your stomach is like…well…I am totally green with envy! I am still enjoying the cakes and sweet things unfortunately it was 6 weeks exactly yesterday I really must do something a bit more than just tennis!!! Well done, you look absolutely stunning! Don’t flash the pic around too much though I think some mothers might get very upset!! LOL!  me included! Jokes, you look great, well done!

Kimika, hi! What did you do – and Joli – for the 6 week jabs…for info Meags, W had the rotavirus yest at 6 weeks at the paed (probably going to cost a fortune!) and then she said to come back in 2 weeks (I might do dischem instead if I have the discipline to compare prices and not just go for convenience, i.e. to the pead and do it in one go!) for the two jabs in the legs (ow ) that apparently are ALL the things rolled into one. It is supposed to be pricey – don[t know how much – but at least all done in one go/ however I don’t know if I can stand by and see W pricked with a big needle twice in one day so I may spread them out and as I said go to dischme/the clinic and get them done at the intervals…what did you ladies do?

Schatsie that size oh my word brilliant that means if you do go in on Wed (yes it makes sense that you wish it was Wed you’ve had it rough physically 9/10 months is hard enough as it is but along with difficulties physically it really can get too much! I wasn’t even in pain per but was totally uncomfortable by 38 weeks!)

AFM as mentioned took W to paed yesterday. She was called away so only seeing her properly in 2 weeks time long story very inconvenient didn’t even phone me even though they knew she would not make my appt I mean bloody really!! Anyway, saw her partner, a doctor not a paed, who did the rotavirus and measurements. Etc. W is now 4.1 kilos (without clothes up to now he’s been weighed with clothes on) he has grown 8 centimetres in 6 weeks!!!!!!! Length wise!!!!!!!!!!!!! Head circumference has grown by 5 and ¾ centimeters hello! So they’re very pleased with him, his colour, etc etc very superficial check but went well. He was soooo good with the rotavirus just kept his eyes on me and was calm calm. He is a complete angel!

Anyway have a lovely day everyone, keep up the news, I love reading it even if I don’t get much time to update and do personals!  aren’t we all sooo lucky and blessed!

cath- Ive been meaning to say that Amelia also laughs in her sleep. Its the cutest thing ever! Glad you enjoyed your holiday as a family. we have to wait til July for our family holiday. but its worth the wait. we going to Umgazi river lodge in port st johns. cant wait!

Mistymom - I also did a major shop before i went into hospital and it really helped! also buy some milk and feeze it.
your turn is coming soon soon, and your piccies are beautiful. you so lucky that your belly button didnt pop out. mine really freaked me out!

Betty - it can be very emotional getting the nursery ready. for me it was unpacking all of hannahs baby clothes for her baby sister. some of the babygrows i just couldnt bring myself to re-use for Amelia. I packed them into a little box.
How is Matthews nose? what exactly is that?

Joli - Gosh what a terrible weekend and R61k!! thats flipping insane. i hope your insurance pays out.

Anje - Cannot believe you are still going strong!! its amazing.
tjose little stretchmarks are a reminder of how you kept your little bean safe and sound for 9 months ( or 10 months in ur case)

Schatsie - Glad u enjoyed your maternity shoot, cant wait to see them. Wow Arno is quite big already. i hope your bp stabilises although it would be nice to have another baby been born this week. Anje seems to be going on forever.

Lucy - Our girlies do look similiar, i think its those chubby wubby cheeks. Those growth spurts are very tiring but thank goodness we all know that it only last 24hrs or so.

Meags - Im sure you"ll know when Matt is having a growth spurt. So when he feeds more frequently I'd say just pump more frequently to accomodate for those extra feeds.
You are such an AMAZING mommy for taking the time and effort and pumping bm for him.
I bled for a few days but i had issues, then it returned for 3 weeks. its finally gone now! feels good to wear my gstrings again and not those bulky pads
So glad that you had a better day yesterday- didnt you feel so revived and have good spirits?
Gym is going alright, im still waiting for my programme. i have a personal trainer tomorrow - hectic!

AFM - i wanted to find out. any of you ladies that have had 2 csections - did u get a roll above your scar second time? I have this horrible looking bump ( or piece of flab roll) just above my cut. its about 2cm high and i hate it. i hope it disappears!
woohoo hubby is coming home tomorrow! i had a terrible night on sunday. Hannah woke up with a really high temp and vomitting too, then while i was trying to bath her and get her cleaned up Amelia woke up screaming for a feed. i dont know how single moms do it.

MistyMom - maybe you can ask your photographer to do something similar for you - not sure if you've got any MU props to use.

Shame Schatsie - the last couple of weeks does feel like forever, I can just imaging how it must be if you don't enjoy it anymore, but it will soon be over and you will be holding that beautiful babba of yours.

Meags - so glad things are going a bit better. Hope the meds will work now. It's so nice when they actually sleep and not scream!

Well we are submittting the insurance papers today so let's see what happens. It's a bit hectic being stranded at home with no car.

Oh Rakker- after I posted re maternity leave, I thought that you are probably still working. When do you plan on stopping? I was hoping to work till 26th, 2 days before my Edd, but will take things as they come. Enjoy your scan.

Joli- FX that your insurance pays out, as you say, you hit something on the dirt road so it should be classified as an accident. How insensitive of your client...
Hope this week is better for you. I had a look at that photographer in CT 's website, her pictures are truly beautiful.

Mistymom- your preggie pics are lovely, makes me think again that I shoul just go and get some done.... Running out of time though.
Hope you manage to sleep a bit later- not like my 5 am wake up.
What a lovely gift from DH. I still have not done a wedding album yet. Lol nearly 6 years later. We also follow the traditional themes for anniversary gifts. DH always goes to such effort so sweet. Last year was wood, and he gave me this precious maple wooden bowl.

Anje - are you feeling any pain or discomfort yet?

Schatsie- not really sure how Clare became Betty When I had M I chatted on Pampers Forum. People there seemed a bit more discrete about their identity, I guess there were a lot more users. So Betty was just a name I picked- probably from th Archie comics-
PF- had a huge crash, and no one could get on line, at this point a lot of ladies moved to Moomie- so I just kept the name hoping to still chat with old friends from PF...
Congrats on A's weight gain! At 3.5 kg dr should have no problem doing a c section.
Not such good news on your blood pressure. Take it easy. If it does not stabilize then you will have baby on Wednesday. I don't think it bad to hope to get baby out on Wednesday, but I hope for no complications for you. Good luck. It seems all us CT ladies that are left are going to the gynae on Wednesday.

Meags- glad things are getting better for you...it is very hard to start off, but things will only get better.
DH also sounds like he is being a star! Has he asked about taking M to the bar again?
You are so lucky to have so much milk for M, well done on the pumping. Are you taking anything for the exhaustion ? And to keep your milk supply up?

Afm- took M to the dr yesterday, he has a very bad ear infection, so on antibiotics for 10 days. Hopefully it clears soon. He is in good spirits, so I am still sending him to school..
Want to stop at the shops this afternoon to see if I can get a stand for baby basket. Want to see if the woolies one fits otherwise I will order from the blind society. The linen, I think I will have to order.
Work is going well- I am supposed to leave at 3 pm daily, I seldom do, but lately am leaving at about 3.30, so it's not that long a day. But still tired and falling asleep by 9pm
Baby is not moving around as much as before... Can't wait for Wednesday scan. I can't think that I have ever been so impatient about a scan.....I may have to go alone as DH has a meeting. Speaking of DH he has been so great tis weekend, kicked into gear moving furniture etc. And then he also finished a a book case he was painting for M's bedroom. Very sweet- he is so not a crafty Type of person. But the book case looks great - he painted it white and red and then painted rocket ships and space stuff on the sides and then some animals on the back. Matthew is well pleased!
