Ok so I had to giggle at that ladies comment about your hubby's hair.. hehe.. maybe she is a bit crazy.. I think she is prob one of those ladies that like to get all friendly with the guys and have no desire to make friends with the wives. Strange..

Betty, we have a super cream for feet.. in fact its also part of the give-away's.. have you entered? Youll see after about 3 or 4 nights of applying the cream your feet will look goooood Oh and Mince Mate is my emergency stock on hectic days It helps that hubby and the 2yr old loooves it!

Faw, is it for religeous reasons that you want to cut your baby's hair? You are very lucky to have your mom help you out so much! But Im sure she enjoys taking care of her grandson

TAzzy, I also have that empty boob feeling every now and then.. especially if he feeds often. Thats what worried me too.. but if she still seems happy after a feed and sleeps for more than 2hrs then she is prob getting enough. With the growth spurts the boobs feel constantly empty and then after it you will ahve slight engorgement again. Try resting more, eat well and drink lotsa fluids (jungle juice) and see if it changes within the next 3 or so days. If I feel he isnt getting enough to satisfy him and he is still niggly after a 2hrly feed then I give him some EBM top up.. but just about 50ml. Just to settle him and have him sleep a bit longer so my boobs can *recharge*

But I agree to what Meags say.. you wont always have that full feeling like you had in the first week or so.. and breastfeeding establishes by 6wks so by then you should have any more engorgement and leaking etc... so maybe your breasts have established its production

As for the clot, I hope its coming away in bits as you douche.. how long did he say you have to go before seeing him again? (your gynae)

Schatsie, glad all is normal with the swelling. Wow your boy is now as big as my son was at birth!! Little monster

Joli, I think all the guys go through that little bit of not *knowing* what to do with the babas.. but like you said, just hold him while you can atleast go pee, bath, brush teeth! Happy 2 months Callum!!! Sweetness

Ok my update:

Reuben now weighs 3.83kg
Lenght 54cm
Head 37cm
Im so proud of my little boy.. or should I say myself?? The clinic sister also very happy with him yipity doo!!
So in total he gained 930g & grew 4cm in lenght and 4cm!!! in his head in just over a month Im sooo happy that I didnt have to give birth to him now I cant believe that this is about the average weight of your babas and some are even way bigger!! I now call him my little fatty (he is not really fat but Im so proud of him) My first little guy grew 500g in his first month and then 1kg in his second month.

And also I popped in a the gynae. Her nurse said its very normal for the bleeding to come and go in bits for a while. But she said at about 6wks it really should have stopped so if by then its still there I must come in so dr can check it out.

Im back from the dead

Was so so ill wit hflu - even reading my laptop or blackberry made my eyes hurt!

But am feeling much better today. I went to the doctor on Tuesday and he booked me off for the week which was cool as needed all the rst! I first went to the pharmacy on tuesday when I could feel that i was begining t feel ill. the pharmasit was so stupid. I asked what i could use in pregnancy so he gave me a nasal spray and said i coul duse it but "be carefully as it can dry up your amniotic fluid!" I mean WTF??? Anyway that freaked me out so went to my GP who said good thing i came in as we have "caught it in time" before it got on my chest". SO am glad i went to him in the end. He gave me antibiotics (was not to hgappy about that but he said it is safe and a "kiddies dose"). So basically slept teh last few day and when i felt up to it wtached some tv but that was it! I really did miss you all.....kept on saying to DH I miss my moomies but did not have teh energy to catch up! Shame then he also got sick so we were both home yesterday sick (well i dont think he was that sick as he watched te hcricket all day).

Anyway as mentioned earlier I am feeling 80% better now...have popped int the office this am to do a few things and then am off home again. Need to go via shops as DH Bday on Sunday...still neeed to get a card and a few small things! I also have a feeling that my "surprise" baby shower is tomorrow and that my BF from JBH is going to make an appearance sometime tonight or tomorrow...everybody has kept on acting all weird an dkeep on saying I HAVE TO get better for weekend.

Today I am 35 weeks......yay here at last! Remember the times when i read about others at 35 weeks when i was only about 30, so am now really feeling it is getting close to my time! ONLY 5 WEEKS LEFT!! Wow and really getting excited now. The chipolata is still wriggling about and doing huge movements sometimes....makes me gasp and laugh..cant wait fro gynae on Wednesday....really want to know if I am caring a monster liek half our group! was 2.5kg at 32 weeks so would love to know what baby weighs now! Mom on the other hand has put on 20kg!!!! would love to know where it is cos i do feel like I am still looking smallish (well i think so), although when trying to get in and out car I do not think so!

Anyway girls I know have 3 days of pages to go read to catch up and will try do some personals!

Hi Girls. Sorry no personals - got way too much to catch up again. We were out of internet usage, but now got uncapped ADSL - YAYNESS!! So I will catch up later today or over the weekend.

CALLUM IS 2 MONTHS OLD TODAY!! Sjoe I can't believe it.

Well Meags I just stripped my moer completely with my DH last night as well. When Callum wakes up at around 7, he only goes to sleep at around 11 / 12 again - in that time I can't do anything else and all he does is playing Mario on the WII so I told him exactly what I'm thinking of it all. So he asked me - so what am I supposed to be doing when Callum cries?? So I told him - well maybe you can hold him for 5 min so I can brush my teeth at least???? He was all misluk, but I think he realized that he was wrong because he was all nice to me again this morning after my mini tantrum.

I'm reaaaally busy at work, so am just checking in to say hi quickly and won't have a chance to do many personals.

Just have to say wow Meags for the nice update/summary you gave Jessica! And sooooo glad things finally seem to be happening for you! I'll keep on checking in over the weekend to hear your progress.

Emsmom, gee, surges every 20 min and you're not really in labour yet?! That sounds really bizarre! Maybe you LO decides to come over the weekend too.

BettyF thanks for the compliment on my age. Maybe I can attribute it to my much younger husband.

My dr says everything is still fine - the swelling of my hands and feet are not concerning because my blood pressure is still very normal and I had no protein in my urine, so it is not a sign of pre eclampsia. He just prescribed some of those very sexy white stockings which they normally give for varicose veins, which my poor DH had to put on for me cause they're so tight. Dr assured me tho that he didn't think I was silly to phone him, because the swelling very easily could have been bad news. In fact my aunt scared me a bit cause she told me she had the swelling with my cousin and they immediately rushed her to hospital and she had an emergency C sec, so it is always best to rather have any new things checked out than sit and wonder whether it's serious.

My little monster weighs a full 2.9 kgs already (compared to average of 2.4 he should have been). He's still doing very well, is very active in spite of the little space he has left and his heartbeat is completely normal too. So all is well with mom and baby.

Up early this am. DH is off to PE- finishes his meetings at lunchtime, but has not secured a flight home. Oh crap, at the moment he s booked at fly home from PE via JHB to CT... Band of course will only arrive home at midnight

Meags - I am so excited for you that things are progressing. What did your Mom decide? Is she coming as scheduled?
When M was born DH took 2 weeks off work stayed at home and then sat behind his bloody lap top working all day. It was sooo aggravating. But it was nice just to have him be home anyway.
I wonder what he will do this time... Baby is due at his most busy time of the year.
Well done on all the cooking. I am not going to be as adventurous. If DH is not going to help out I will have to do some online shopping at woollies. I did register when M was born but I never used it.

Emsmom - enjoy your time with your sister. Wonderful that your Dad is also coming down!

Faw - how did the naming ceremony go? Nice that your neighbours get involved.
After my c- section I had to go back to the dr, I had dissolving
stitches but then over that had this metal clamp like thing with what looked like staples. He just cut the staples and removed the whole contraption. I never actually saw one stitch.
Glad you are getting at least 5 hours sleep at night and that your mom has been such a star helping you xx
