quick question I am having an anaesrhetic is tha the same as a spinal?? Docs receptionist said i cat eat from six am due to anaesthetic huh??? But its not general anaesthetic so wy cant i eat? Dont have patience to try get answers from this very vertraagde woman does ayone else have any idea?? Does the anaethetist ddo the spinal thing?? For some reason i thiught i would be gas like a general anaesthetic lol ?

Also your dh is allowed in hey??

Started off on the old Pampers sight and popped in now and then while TTC...

Eventually joined this group when I found out I was due in April 2011 and work just got so busy that I never returned.

I aslo heard black nighties are best and that it is a good idea to get a dress/long t-shirt if you have a c-section. Saw this amazing nighty at Woollies, but DH says it's to sexy and impractical for hospital. HAHA
He's prob right.

You definitely haven't been here in ages, because I haven't seen you here before and I've been here for quite a few months.

So tell me/us about you: where are you from, is this your first baby, what work do you do, etc.?

BTW, we've all been complaining about battling to find pj's for hospital. Some people suggested that we should get black, so my hubby gave me the idea of getting men's pj's and I got some at Edgars this past weekend.

Haven't been on here in a loooooong time! (used to be lerouxc)
It was so cool to read up on everyone's progress, can't believe we are all weeks away from having our bundles of joy! Won't be able to do personals now, cause I'd just feel fake, LOL

I am 32 weeks now. Very excited but nervous as well. I have not even packed my hospital bag yet. Can't find nice nighties... That, and I still change my mind about vaginal/c-section just about every hour!!!!!!

AARG, my c-section is booked for the 4th of April, but I've prayed that His will should happen and that I wil be fine with what ever happens.


Anyway, last scan (8 Feb)stats were as follow:

Gender: Boy (we-ve known since 13 weeks)
Name: Sebastian
Weight: 1.67 kg

Next scan is 5 March

Okay, so I'm having a "surprise" baby shower this afternoon!
Not so "surprise" anymore as my friend decided to give me the heads up about it as she doesn't want me to be caught off guard so late in pregnancy with all the preggy hormones etc... hehe. Which I appreciate of course.
But yeah, so she's so sweet to have one for me (and she's only a friend for 5 months now) - all my "best" friends are up in Jhb and in the three years we've lived here I haven't made many real friends yet.
Will be fun and nice to have a lazy, women only afternoon and get prezzies as well! LOL.
Well, need to go wash my hair now and get myself more respectable - need to be there at 3h00.
If I don't talk to you again, have a lovely weekend and look after yourselves and little bambino's!
