Ive been meaning to ask.. is there any of you Gauteng ladies who wants to join us sometime this month for a weekday meet in pta?? We are looking at somewhere maybe 19 to 22 Oct, will finalise once we know who can make which dates. Let me know xxx

Hi girls. The social services story is a nightmare, but my friend got her facts wrong and they will only give me a grant for my son and even that is a nightmare and i have to wait til next wk wed again before they will see me again. They didn't give me all the info last wk so today i go there to be asked where is this.. And i was like well no one told me. They also decided to tell me i must go to another branch that is near me.. They take 3 visits and countless hours of my time to tell me. So hopefully next wk wed ill get it granted and will get money for my son. I opened a bank acc for him. I don't own one myself. He has a debit card and he will be 18 months tom. Taking him on monday for injections and they must refer me to a person who deals with children who walk incorrectly so i can find out why my son walks on the inside of his one foot and his big toe has a huge crack on it... Poor child. When he was crawlling he dragged that foot and now its starting to Worry me a bit.
Talking about weight in 10 weeks i have picked up 6kg's but i was under nourished when i got here and have been eating very healthy..no money for junk. My cravings have been fruit salad so i have been eating a lot of fruit.

Emsmom, You are not being unreasonable!! And for sure its not fair to tell you that you cant be there when she has an 2hr lesson!! Thats really long.. I mean if you dont mind sitting there why should she?? What is her reason for this? If you feel that the teacher is not that great or you can maybe find someone better then do so! But I dont think you should have her stop completely.. its such a nice thing for little girls.. and if I were ever to have one I would also let her do ballet

Meags !! Its a lot.. but everyone gains differently so if you are not that bothered then dont be!! I just know what I gained with my son and I just want to atleast gain less than that! I struggle to lose and gain very easily so I have to keep a bit of an eye.. although I seem to have something cakey or sweet every day along with more than my share of bread

Im so proud of myself I made croquembouche for the first time today and they came out really yummy! Although I didnt really stack a tower since we ate them before I could! ..there goes another 200g tomorrow morning Im sure!!

EmsMom there is no way you should be paying for a full term if she isnt teaching the full term. definitely argue that point.

kitty has to have the collar on until Sunday but I will see by Saturday as she is so miserable

I have bought a urine test that determines gender...should get it by tomorrow I think. then we'll be able to see how reliable these urine tests are!!

Also, for those worried about the 2kg they have gained...wait for it...at my 12 week visit I had gained 3.3kg and I have now gained a further 3kg. and that was in the space of just over 2 weeks as luckily, no weight gain this week.
so a total of 6.3kg!! so really ladies....stop stressing!

Schatsie, my gynae says he knows what we are having, even though I'm just over 12 weeks. I think it often depends on the quality of the scan.

Today is just a piss off Rikki day. First my tire, which means I've been without a car the entire day, and no bread or cheese in the house. - Oh and we have people coming for supper..
And no Em's ballet teacher e-mails saying they will be having a demo for the children at year end, can we please pay towards costumes and decor. Now I'm perfectly happy to pay 10 times what she's asked, however she then goes on to say only 2 adults per child! So I have to pay and then only DH and I can go. What about the grannies and aunts etc.? Also her teacher is PG, which if lovely, but that means she is ending the term a month early but still wants me to pay for the full term. I dont find this very fair. I know moms need money for pregnancy, but I'm now basically paying for her not to teach my child.
Oh and from now on I'm not allowed at any classes or rehursals with Em. Which are almost 2 hours long! Em is not used to me being away for that long! I really think I should pull her out of ballet, as she will be going with a new teacher next year anyway.
What do you ladies think? Am I being unreasonable?
