Betty, phew, Sarah sounds very demanding!!

The colposcopy was rather awkward as I had to put my feet in stirrups - it was the first time I ever had to do that but other than that it was painless. The outcome is unfortunately a good news bad news situation: the abnormal cells don't seem too far advanced, but it is spread over a very large area, about 70% of my cervix. This therefore means that I have to have a Lletz procedure, which means surgery, on Friday. So it's back to hospital for me, but at least it is only a matter of in and out on the same day.

I've had a busy day, went to play some badminton this morning, then went to visit a friend. We are pretty much out and about every day, because I get so bored just staying at home. I'm going to visit my colleagues tomorrow because they have all mailed me and told me they're missing me and would love to meet A.

MissesMom I cant believe how big your girl is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is like 1.5kg bigger than Matt - and if I remember she only weighed 500g more at birth? Good for you!!!

Matt has been a different baby since yesterday morning and I REALLY hope I'm not jinxing anything and that he is just starting to become more settled in the world.

He was so good yesterday, slept nicely, played nicely. ok the feeds are still a problem...but thats the reflux.

He went to sleep at 8pm, woke at 2:15 and then at 6:20!! However I woke at 11:30pm, 12:30 (then his 2:15 feed) and then my cat woke me at 5:20 determined he WILL be fed and will try EVERYTHING to irritate me. I just about wanted to kill him....

Anyway he fed and back asleep after 1 hour?!
Do your babies do the same?? I usually try get him to be awake an hour and a half (which he usually does on his own anyway) but he was grumpy and tired so just put him down - been sleeping an hour now.

Kimika sorry to hear about your domestic It is a very sad situation but unfortunately (and please no one throw stones at me!!!) it may be for the best. if she cant provide for the child, what kind of life will they have? I know it doesnt justify anything and I am totally against abortion. But I also dont think its right to keep reproducing when you cant afford it and may even just leave the baby on the street to die. I know you are trying to let her see abortion is wrong and she should re-think her decision, but try not to traumatise her by saying she is killing the child! Yes she is - but she also didnt even have to tell you she was pregnant and perhaps she is looking for support? You dont need to support her choice to abort, but be there for her xx

BettyF sorry you had a bit of a nightmare with M and S and cooking!!!! It can get a bit much when you need to get things done and its always been baby refuses to sleep or sit on their own

Well I took Miss Kate to her weight in, and she's now 6.2kg and 59.5cm. So growing wonderfully!
She has had a lot of wind the past 2 days, farting like mad!!
Today I did my xbox dance dance with her in her kangaroo pouch and she fell asleep half way through. Was so cute!

Hi ladies

Still enjoying spending time with our lively Sarah. The experience is so much different than I had with Matthew, who was colicy with reflux. Hope I don't jinx the situation and colic starts to set in.
She is feeding every 2 or so hours, except in the evening she just wants to stay on breast permanently.
Problems are that generally shoo only stays asleep if I am carrying her. And she falls asleep on the breast and then wakes up still hungry.

Went for a weigh yesterday, Sarah is just about back to her birth weight. She gained about 130grams. The clinic sister would like her to gain 150 grams a week. But I am not too concerned. I really don't think it is possible to feed her more.. Unless perhaps at night...
She us above the 50th centile line.

Yesterday afternoon was crazy. My first trip to fetch Matthew from school. LG cried all the way in the car... Wanted to stop at shop for brewed but clearly could not, time was if the essence.
Got home, M cried for a sandwich, of course I had no bread
So I had to hurry up with supper, all the while Sarah was also crying to be held.
Ended up cookin with Sarah in the mango pouch hooked up to the breast.
DH eventually got home after 7 pm and I was exhausted. I bathed M, he bathed S.. He then put her to sleep - yay.
Hope today is easier.. DH should be home earlier as we are taking M to the ENT..

Mistymom - how are you coping without DH? How is your Mom?

Faw- how did your first day at work go? Was thinking of you... Nit easy to leave your LO's. Is your mom looking after them?
How is Abdul? Does he have colic?
Glad your Dad seems to be getting better.

Schatsie, Faw thanks for the BF info. I am feeding every 2 or so hours, but sometimes it feels like every 10 mins
Like this morning,fed her at 3 am, 5.30, 8am. Then she fell asleep on my lap, put her down she continued to sleep for 5 mins then woke up looking for more boob.

Schatsie - how did it go at the doctor? Hope everything is ok.


Kimika - hope your dog recovers quickly. DH decided to go the private vaccine route. Not exactly sure why, as the seem the same, only possibly more comfy for baby to go private. So our first jab will be when S is 8 weeks.

Meags- how did M take to the formula?

Meags, me too.. first goal is 64 and from there on its 60. I know that once I reach that Ill be happy because my clothes will fit great.. but ahhhh the temptation to be under 60.. would be awesome to get that done!! I alway tell my hubby that with having boys I want to at least be a mom that they can be proud of.

I thought maybe you had some kinda miracle tip for traveling with breastmilk Good luck with today..

Ag girls.. my moms domestic girl is preggies with her 4th child. She said she forgot some of her pill. She is totally devestated and cries a lot. Her youngest boy is only 1 now and she said she doesnt want any more kids.. she already cant afford the 3 she has. She has been working with him on her back since he was born and I think she cant think of doing it with another baby. So now she asked me about going for an abortion and I said no way!! I asked her if she will kill any of her other kids so why this new baby? She just cried But her husband also wants nothing to do with the baby and they have kinda decided that she must go for the abortion next week... My mom and Ive begged her not to but they are set in their decision. Im so sad about this.. abortion is just the worst thought possible.. I dont even want to think about it I wish I could help her but I cant do much.. finances are not good.. so its not like I can offer her financial support. I dont even think they would take it. Its just so terrible!!

Not much time....Matt must feed, bath etc.

Kimika I am sure I will fluctuate above 70 again.....would also LOVE to be 58kg. that's what I weighed at the wedding but I am just taking baby steps. First to get to pre pregnancy weight. Then 62, then if possible 60. Then we'll see. I really just want my clothes to fit. so if I weigh 62 and they fit - I'll be fine.

I am starting Matt on half formula half breastmilk tonight. (anti reflux formula). And Vix from the other thread suggested Gaviscon 1ml. I am going to try. The poor child is really battling with feeds.
Just hope he is not going to get constipated. Hopefully the breastmilk will keep him regular. Then I'll slowly wean the breastmilk off as when we travel I am only using formula (Kimika - impossible to travel with breastmilk!)
Yip I am hoping I am done with pumping by the time I come to SA. Luckily Matt has been an ANGEL today! my goodness totally different child...

Rakker, thanks for talking poop with me So Im thinking that the butternut poo is when its not the regular daily ones? I think all babas go through that needy phase.. some just worse than others.. but shoo it can be totally exhausting!!

Meags, well done on the lovely weight gain for Matt and the superb weightloss for you! We have the same goal weight as I also weighed 64kg when I fell preggie.. but I would prefer to weigh 60kg and would just be ToTALLY happy to weigh 58kg!!! But you are losing much faster than me... I went under 70kg 2wks ago but now Im stuck again just over..grrrr

Aww Im also so sad for you and your brother.. you prob wish you could have been with him. What bad luck So has he any idea what he will do for a vehicle now?

So are you hoping to have your milk supply dried up by the time you come to SA? Was wondering how you will travel with frozen milk?? Sometimes I really think you are wonderwoman You seem up for so much! Hope Matt gives you a peacefull day today and some good naptimes!!

Schatsie, congrats on deciding on a nanny.. lucky lady Is your boy better now? How did it go today? When will you get results? Fx that its just something really tiny that can be fixed. I had an abnormal papsmear last yr, and it was just a bad infection that I didnt pick up, and a month later I was preggie.

Lucy, thanks for mentioning the probiotic.. the clinic sister actually said I should give R some for his tummy since he is soooo windy!! And I forgot He farts more than what seems to be normal.. sounds like a grown man! And they smell eggy! eww

Betty, Im happy with the gov jabs.. cant say they were much different to my son's (went private with him about 2yrs ago). The upset tummy etc is from the first visit when they get the rotarix drops. Second visit is just jabs and then 3rd visit drops again.

Shoo... so much I want to say.. cant remember all of it. Ive been reading the posts but havent replied...

My dog got into another fight with the boerboel *sigh* She had some tiny bites in her front legs which I just cleaned with detol and bactroban. The next morning it was all swollen and puffy.. she couldnt walk on her legs and she was all feverish So I had to do a vet trip that worked out over R700.. flip they better not do this often!!!

Tomorrow my mom and I will be going to Rustenburg to go watch my sister's kids. She is going for a tummy tuck (all hush hush and secretly) hehe.. And then hubby will join us on Friday. So Im not sure if Im taking the laptop with.. if not Ill chat again maybe Sunday.

I had such a hectic 2wks so Im quite happy for these few days of rest I was thinking on Friday that my mind is going to finally seize and Im becoming porraige brain all over! I just think I had bit of lack of sleep and overworked myself.. I finally cracked when on my way home hubby phones saying he got home early and there is nothing to eat. So I stop at Mcdonalds to get lunch and ofcourse they hand you all the food.. where does one put the coldrinks if you are alone ?? Anyway.. needless to say driving with one hand didnt work and the UPSIZE creamsoda landed in the back of the car I was sooo angry and was shouting and yelling.. my poor boy was just staring at the mess in teh back with these wide eyes That really helped to just make me laugh! He was staring at the mess all the way home and every now and then I would hear him say : koekank mos! (cooldrink mess) He cant say r yet

And today I left the boys with my mom so that I could do a cupcake delivery and from there go for my annual checkup at the ENT for my sinusses. I got there 1/2hr early and told the receptionist Im a bit early.. she said yes.. Im 2 1/2hrs early!! grrr... I wrote down 13:00 in my dairy but for some reason kept thinking 11!!
