Joli, she only gets it around her mouth - she hasn't had it for a while, but she hasn't had chocolate in a long while. I may just send her for tests if it continues, I have a cream that clears it up, but would pefer to avoid her getting it at all.

LOL about Callum and the "happing" Kate does the exact same! And she will try latch on anything near her mouth, its too funny. Today was actually sucking on her thumb - Em never did this so it was very cute for me to see (I did however take it right out her mouth - dont want her to start thumb sucking)

Shame about being alone with the little ones tomorrow - and good luck with the shots. I'm not looking forward to kates - thankfully my mom has said she will be with me.

Newmum, actually now Joli mentions it, a hypobirth friend of mine ending up having a c-section cause her baby also turned back to bum down at the very end. babies are strange little things and tend to choose their own way into the world

Em's Mom - those pics are so gorgeous. Really lovely. They can test for allergy - but like to dermatologist explained to me - it's really very expensive and they need to do lots of test to find the exact cause for allergies. Maybe if they test just for the ingredients in chocolate it might be worth it. Megan's got endless skin problems - and she always got a rash somewhere on her body and now we've just got various creams for various rashes - a bit annoying as I don't know what the cause is. She gets it on her neck, back, and fold of legs.

MistyMom - thinking of you for tomorrow. Keep us posted as soon as you can.

Meags - shame man - can't be nice feeling that way. Rather go to doctor. Re b/f video - did you try holding Matt against you instead of the way you do in the video. Callum will only feed with his tummy against me and without being wrapped up - I'm sure you did, just asking. Good luck with being alone with Matt, but I'm sure it will do you good.

Newyum - Congrats on the birth of your baby. Maybe your baby turned breech at last minute - Megan was still bum down a week before she was born so they can turn at last minute. I know the feeling of things turning out differently than what you've planned - Callum was also born via c-section after I"ve planned this whole waterbirth thing. ((hugs))

Lucy - enjoy having your mom around. Love the pic of T's face he he. It's me that bath my kiddies just in the bath. I dont do the whole wash the hair first thing.

Betty - not long to go now!

AFM - I also want a boob job! Don't have a problem with my nipples - they are still the same - but the boobies are not firm anymore .

Well Dorcas is on leave and I just remembered today that Callum must go for his vaccinations tomorrow - so then it's me and all 3 the kids again.

Also getting our car back tomorrow - so glad about it. We went to Zoo Lake today - was so lovely. Callum was so good - just moaned twice to be fed.

DH says Callum is like an Iphone - you have to hold him the right way to keep him happy LOL - no seriously - if you hold him or he sleeps on your chest and you just move him a bit in a way he does not like, he will perform until you move him back. He's such an angel. Hardly ever cries, except when I take him out the bath. The moment I take him out, he will start screaming until he is dress!

Oh ya another funny thing he does - when he is hungry he will start 'happing' like 'biting' into the air - looks like he will grab anything that comes past he he.

newmum, I would also be upset if my Dr didn't pick up my baby was breech! Glad all turned out ok. The breastfeeding gets easier - so keep at it

Lucy - ya sorry but after BFing your boobs and nipples are never the same. Dh had already promised me a boob job after Em, but now with Kate my nipples are suffering! I have to literally pry her off my boobs.
I hope the chiro works with T. Maybe do half and half feeds - half boob, next feed bottle? Those pics are too cute!!

Meags I think you need to go to a Dr, even if you get something mild.
That video is def a smile! We get those from Kate too, but I was sure she couldn't smile so early, glad to see others are doing it as well

Schatsie, glad you're getting some nice quality time with the family, and perfect weather to do it in as well!

Betty, Em had a ball as well, ate far too much chocolate and was soon asking for proper food

AFM. Kate is so clever! (well to me anyways) she cluster feeds for about 2 hours before bedtime - feeds non-stop! - and then sleeps for 6 solid hours. Was lovely
Em loved Easter yesterday, however I think she has an allergy to chocolate cause her face had broken out in a rash... wondering if I should take her to Dr. Can they test for an allergy like that?

Meags the clinic said I have to go again tomorrow to have him weighed. Holding thumbs that he gained enuf!

It definitely does sound like you have a bit of PND. Rather go see a dr about it and get something for it, otherwise it might just cause long term damage in terms of your bonding with your baby.

oh I wanted to say...
I think I have a mild case of PND...I am going to just see how things go once DH is back at work (TOMORROW....EEEKKK) but I think I may need to take something for it.

Even without the BF attempts, I just dont feel connected to him and sometimes resent him a bit I know how horrible this must sound for those of you who are so besotted with your babies...but I just dont have that feeling and often wish I could put him into creche to just get away from him. It's not like he's even that demanding...but I just cant be bothered to look after him

newyum mum did the gynae not do any sonars and see the baby was breech??? sounds like a hectic labour and birth!!! how much did your precious weigh?

BettyF I have still not heard from the LLL. And I am not going to call her again. Perhaps she lost my number...but I mean I called her friday and left a voicemail so I feel very let down by her. But I'm kind of over the BF now. That doesnt mean I am not totally devastated about it. But I just feel like I could try for months and he wont BF so I'm just not going to try anymore.

Schatsie glad your LB is feeding so nicely and growing so nicely too!! When is your next check up to see his weight?

Lucy I really hope the chiro helps - seems your little Tessa is a major fan of the boobie!! We have total opposites What is your plan if she continues to just want boobie all the time?

MistyMom its your final night how are you feeling? ready? nervous? excited? do you think you'll get any sleep?

where is Kimika?! did she go visit family for the long weekend?

well I guess the only good thing about bottle feeding is I know how much BM he is getting...and I can make sure he does a full feed before sleeping. he sleeps anything from 4-6 hours at night for the first stretch and then back to 3-4 hourly feeds after that. the other day he wanted feeds every 2 hours so think it was a growth spurt. according to my scale he weighs 4.2kg which means he is gaining 100g per day instead of the 20-30g per day
well just following doctors orders...Will see what he says next week at our check up. hope to stop the cereal...

Newyum - wow what a story. That is hectic that they didn't sick up your baby was breech. I am so glad you had a happy ending. Enjoy him.

Schatsie - I am jealous that you can consider going out. Tessa is still on a feeding frenzy. Ever so slightly better now that we are giving her the rescue and panado. Yesterday at lunch I think I spent about 15min with my family as it is all she would allow me. I am seriously putting all my eggs in the chiro basket tomorrow. Lol!

Well my Mom gets home on sunday and gets to finally meet her grand daughter. Also be so nice to get a little help and have a break.
