Hi ladies
ok let me try catch up before I need to pump...
MistyMom congrats again!!!! Cant believe how big he is! Well done to you for carrying him for so long

You must be absolutely overjoyed that he is FINALLY here! Hope he is feeding well
Cath - yes I am desperate to lose the weight. Man I hate looking the way I do. My tummy especially is so flabby and loose

I have lost just over 12kg so far (still 8kg to go).
I have told myself I have to pump until I have lost atleast 15kg. so that is keeping me going!! The last 5 I am sure are going to be more difficult to lose and will require some work.
I have a diet that works wonders...but it's not very healthy and since I'm still giving BM to Matt, I dont think it's a good idea to go onto that diet.
But we are going to buy the Dance and Zumba XBox games (the demo's are exhausting to do!!) so that will be my exercise. And I will try get out and walk with Matt a bit. Problem is it is exceptionally hot here. It's about 30 degrees with 70% humidity. And Matt needs to be wrapped or he's hysterical so that combination doesnt work well!
I am also sick of not being able to fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes....My wardrobe is so limited and I dont want to go buy clothes to fit now when I am planning to lose the weight.
well this will give you a laugh...
The other day at the music festival, I was getting some food. I was wearing a maternity top as I dont want to wear tight tops because of my flabby tummy. So the lady serves up my meal, gives it to me and says "I gave you some extra food since you're eating for 2". I just said thanks and walked away....
So ya...not the nicest feeling!!
AFM:
TERRIBLE night of note!!!!!
So last night I decided is the night to start the full bedtime routine and he sleeps in his own cot in his own room.
So 6pm I bath him and feed him in his room with dimmed lights etc. Put him to bed. between 6:15pm-8:15pm I had to go up and settle him like 6 times. eventually he was properly asleep. So we eat dinner and go to bed around 9:20pm. Matt is due for a feed anytime around now so I am kind of sitting waiting for him to wake up. eventually at 10pm we decide to sleep. I hardly sleep as I am still expecting him to wake. I eventually fall asleep just before 11pm. Matt cries at 11:50pm.....great...
so I feed him, settle him (takes 1 hour to settle) and then pump so that I dont have to wake at 3 to pump. get to bed just before 2am. Matt wakes at 4am for a feed....ggrrr.....
So I feed him, and he takes one and a half hours to settle!!! When I put him in the cot, he wakes. When I hold him, he's kicking furiously. I tried lying in bed with him, he screams. eventually he fell asleep at 5:50am...I had to get up at 6:30am to take DH to work.....
So during that really long settling around 5:30am I am now beyond exhausted and getting annoyed that he's taking so long to settle. so eventually I sat in the arm chair and just sobbed and sobbed with him in my arms. Poor Matt just lay there looking up at me

I felt like such a bad mommy

But I was just so tired and so down.
I told DH last night that I think I have PND. He's a little sad that I never said anything before to him. We talked about what could be causing it, the birth etc etc. He feels guilty that after the neonatologist checked Matt at the birth, that he didnt tell them to give me Matt. As the nurse took about 20 minutes faffing, putting on socks, measuring him etc etc. He could have come to me about 3 minutes after the birth instead of 25 minutes. anyway - I told DH its not his fault as even as I lay on the bed waiting to get Matt, I was too tired to even wonder why it was taking so long.
