ANYONE HERE THAT DECIDED ON 1 CHILD ONLY?

Hahaha. I'm kinda hoping that happens to me too. We decided on one before I even got pregnant. But now I'm not so sure. Hubby is still pretty convinced. I'm scared of having another so I'm hoping it just happens. What made me start rethinking was that my Dad has recently been diagnosed with alzheimers and someone pointed out that going through parents illnesses and passing without a sibling would be so much harder. So it's a tough decision all round.

We decided on one child - yes, happy, happy, happy with my 20 month old, but you know what, dont even bother thinking too much about it cause as life and GOD would have it, I am 20 weeks preggies - hahahahaha. So there you go. As for pro's and con's - didnt even have time to think about it - now I just have to deal with it. LOL

I have always wanted a Big Family but after i'm not too sure anymore, My daughter keeps me busy enough (14 months). Betweeen Entertain her, Hubby and Finding me time and work as well i don't think i can handle the Pressure!

Cousins will have to keep her busy!

My body decided that one would be it so not my choice. I would have had two.

Now that the choice has been made for me I am actually quite okay with it.

I have been able to really connect with Dylan knowing that he will be my only child.

It is easy to say oh I will do xyz with the next one, but knowing there won't be a next one makes me take note of everything as it goes by so quickly.

I am also an older mom and I don't think I would have the energy for another.

Only children are often happy children if they have a good social network. Dylan loves other children and I am sad sometimes that he won't have a sister or brother, but siblings fight too.

Financially they are expensive and yes it would be tougher with another but we would have managed.

Yip the only reason I don't have 3 or even 4 is because of financial issues. If we have another child now, I won't be able to send Megan to play school, or to let them do ballet, drama and all those things . Kayla & Megan just loves each other and it's handy when you need to cook and they can keep each other busy.

I was only gonna have 1, then had a bit of an oops.....
But the second one is really easier. the first few months (maybe even the first year) is really tough, but after that you are really cruising cos they entertain each other, you are only needed to seperate them during fights.

Yip, there are financial issue like if we only had one, we would be able to afford a private school, with 2 it will have to be a govt school

Nope I want more!
