If one thinks about it, the longer one waits the greater the chance of having to spend lots of money on fertility trying to get pregnant, thus it actually makes financial sense not to wait too long....

Thanx for putting my mind at ease in that you demonstrate that it can be done. I was almost convinced that my life will be over once the twinnies arrive.

I was even looking into possibly changing my car to get an SUV (even though i dont really want one), goes to show how clueless one really is.

Baby No 2.
My Lg just turned 2 and I want another one.
our finances are not good at hte moment but as everyone says. If we wait for finances we will wait forever and somehow you just manage to get through the month anyway. you manage to survive.
We are in the process of selling our house so we can rent. Just too expensive in buying property. I think we will rent for a year or two and then look at buying again. But I sure can't wait that long until baby no 2.
I am also getting older and I have been pregnant 3 times already.
so given my history and my age - i need to get cracking now....
But is it the right time?? who knows!!!
I have a plan and that is by June this year, I would like to start TTC. Then we should be in a new place (renting) and hopefully settled into some sort of routine and know what the expenses are and then hopefully we can get going.....
Good luck on deciding the big WHEN? Hopefully it does not take us all too long to fall preggies.....

p.s My friend has also had twins (with no drugs) her eldest is 3 years old now. She is completely stressed but somehow is coping.... unless that is just what she makes us all think.
There must be something in our water/food etc to make more ladies concieving twins naturally these days.....

Deja, I hear you about the planning thing...It is a nightmare trying to determine the "best" time for your LO to arrive considering work/leave etc! And then you can plan, but not fall pregnant when planned...and everything goes out the window!

Sometimes the thought of packing my daughter into the car, with the ginormous carseat (that I keep telling my hubby was surely only meant for ppl with 4x4's & as much as we wud love to be, we are NOT those ppl!) with a million saftey belts and clips and the PROBABLE crying at having to sit in the backseat alone...makes me SERIOUSLY consider whether I REALLY need that "whatever" that I was thinking of going to buy at the shops... So, I can only imagine how it must be with multiples.

Strange thing: I am OBSESSED with the idea of having twins next time (even considering fertlity treatment of some sort to ensure it happens) cos as much as I want another baby...or 2, the idea of being preggy 2 more times and having a newborn 2 more SEPARATE times fills me with fear and a knowing feeling that after baby no.2 I probably won't be able to do it again...

So I like to hear abt ppl with multiples even though it sounds scary.Hapi & Vix...am soooo jealous!

Lollipop- well, our car is officially full.

My DH has a Bakkie so that's fine, my 2 year old sits in the front and i sit in the back in between the 2 babies and there is space for the double pram in the back but when i go out a lone i have a Chevy Spark so i can barely fit a single pram so i have C in the front with me, the twins on the backseat and then when we get out the car i have Jono in the wrap, Alex in the pram and C on the safety harness.

It's interesting to say the least but i refuse to loose all my independence just because i have 3 children.
