Pill Schmill! I fell preggies with Jade while on the pill and had been taking it routinely for 10 years! I was the 1% they warn you about in the leaflet...

I hope we are in the same boat soon - with baby no 2 on the way.
I have just stopped the pill but we will only start TTC in June or so.
That way it will give my body some time to adjust to no pill.
Holding thumbs that you are as lucky as you were with No 1.

Well - I am giving myself till about May before I get worried or impatient. With our first one I was 1 month off the pill and the 2nd month I was pregnant. Don't know if we will be that lucky again

@ Maryka - Whether you drop the pill now or at the end of the month your body is going to go a bit haywire, so it will take a little to settle down.

I'd toss those pills into the trash today already - maybe if you throw up now you can eject the one you took this morning? Nothing like being proactive.

As GW said there is some school of thought that recommends a wait after stopping the pill before TTC.

However at the same time there are those who are impatient and would just go "bugger that, let's just get started"

Very sorry if I sound bit stupid - but is it ok to just leave it ? I always thought you have to end the month otherwise everything goes all heywire ????

Good Luck Maryke, welcome to the club! I agree with RM though, drop the pill now, unfortunately you will likely get AF again (if you already had it this month) but the sooner you stop taking the pill, the sooner it will be out of your system.

Gloei that is interesting. I wonder though (sorry not trying to be contrite) but if the pill remains in your system for 2 months after stopping it, wont it prevent you from falling preggies? Did he say how the pill still being in your system could heighten the risk of a MC?

Just an interesting thing my Gynea told me (for all of you trying for no2....)

He recommended that one waits 2 cycles(months) after you have stopped the pill before TTC. He says that the birth controll pill hormones still stay in your body for a while and it takes about 2 months for your own body to get back in its own production of hormones. This might prevent miscarriages in the early stages.
