file Anyone else trying for a 2014 baby?

Carmen - I had a suspicion that it could be IBS. It really is painful. I suffered with it a few years back. At the time I was quite skinny and my stomach would swell up so much that I looked 5 months pregnant and none of my pants would fit!! I was often crippled over in pain. Somehow never had the problem again after my pregnancy though! Hope your symptoms subside and that the new meds work.

I just worked out that I am on CD39 today. Need to go and get a HPT just incase, but I am certain it is due to the drastic weight loss. But with the ectopic, I need to make certain. Hate taking the test though because I always have hopes from the time I pick it up off the shelf until I see that single line. Can be pretty deflating. Funny how the mind works, because as I type this I am certain that it will be a negative and totally ok with that, but somehow the minute I buy the test, my mind goes another route! :S

Yes, it has definitely helped having this group to come and chat to - thanks ladies. Makes the process less lonely.

Emily is having a sleepover with my MIL this Friday, so DH and I are home alone! We will probably end up asleep by 8 though - hahahaha

GW - now that the MOM2B challenge is over, where do I go for your daily food pics and recipes??

I agree. We are lucky to have each other to confide in this journey. There is only so much that we can share with our better halves before it becomes overwhelming for them...therefore I am so glad that we could have been able to support each other through our joys and sorrows this year's journey.

I am sorry to hear that you had another episode. It really is quite overwhelming to have a bad IBS attack, I have heard of numerous people who have gone to ER thinking it was way more serious due to the intensity of the pain....Really not fun. Good luck with the stress management, I know this is sometimes quite tricky to improve - depending of what the source of stress is. The acupuncture sounds great - would love to hear how it went if you manage to go next year.

Sounds like we are all on the same page - we have all given up on charting/temp/opk's...Like you all said, just let mother nature takes its course. Luckily mother nature came with a built in plan with extra desire for that time of the month... :silly:

Good luck to all with the crazy year end work rush! xx

Ladies...
I am so thankful that you are around. you have all out into words the emotions I have been grappling with.
I cannot believe that we are all in the same situation.
I have also decided to let nature take it's course, if I am only to be blessed with one miracle, nothing will rob me of experiencing every moment of joy with her.
Dr has said that the symptoms is IBS, had another attack on Monday, he has prescibed a stonger antispasmodic and said that stress management is the key.
I will still do accupunture, for all my ailments :), in January. And then see if we are up to doing IVF after May/ June next year. But the unsatiable need to have a 2nd little miracle has subsided.
I am striving towards a sense of contentment.

FG and Juno - well done at your weightloss!
Juno and Nicolette - so sorry
GW - pity, hopefully the next cycle will have no 'interference'.
AFM- I have to check what CD I am on. not temping or keeping track. But we will try and BD from Thurs (I think that will be CD12) over the next 2 - days.

Love all

So great to hear from everyone!!

Flowergirl and Juno - It gives me such a big smile to hear about your weight loss and that you are feeling more energetic! WELL DONE! It is such a difficult thing to achieve and I hope you are extremely proud of yourselves.

It is almost 12 months since the beginning of this thread (although I know a few ladies were TTC before this) and it seems as if for many of us this journey was more stressful than what we anticipated...at least for me.
Juno, I like your "phrase" about the unknown. Very apt description.
The tension of the uncertainty of whether if this will "be meant to be for me" was a bit unexpected for me. I have never really considered having only one child and have always envisioned that should I ever have children that it will be at least 2.

In a certain sense it has caused a bit of wake up call for me to enjoy every single moment possible with my LG because for the first time it has crossed my mind that this could be my last chance to witness this amazing journey to raise an amazing human being and that certain oppurtunities are only there once and I must make the best out of it.

I share everyone's sadness when your child asks for a sibbling and all the comments that goes with it. It really is painful and it just rips your heart out at times.

Juno (and Nicolette)- It has meant so much to me to come here and chat to you and all the other ladies, and everyone's loving support. I can totally understand why we won't see you that often anymore. Wishing you well and peace for your journey, which ever way it takes you.

Carmen, hoping that you are holding up well and that the meds could offer some relief?

Meags, any news from the DR? Hoping that Matt is doing much better, it puts so much stress on the entire family when they get sick - and so heart breaking to see them suffer!

Still here GW

Juno - sorry that you didnt get your BFP, but glad that you have made peace with your decision - that's the bit that matters.

Nicolette - really sorry to hear about the failed AI. Huge hugs to you xxxxxx I know the feeling about your daughter - my Emily is also convinced that there is a baby growing in my tummy and she keeps insisting on buying baby things in the shop and says: "but our baby is coming now, now".....

No news on my front. No charting, no treatment, no timed Bd'ing. Just letting mother nature do her thing and whatever happens, happens. Meeting with the social worker in the new year and will then have to make a decision to go on a contraceptive if we decide on adoption. Once we have decided that, that's the right route for us, I want to "close" other possibilities. So will be doing some soul searching and serious discussions in the holidays to ensure that we are 100% certain before doing anything.

Weight still falling off - my body must be in shock because Ive fed it crap for so long! Total weight loss is at 8.7kgs now and I am feeling great! Running program also going well and starting to look forward to my runs! Wearing clothes that I have not dared try on in the last year and need to go and get new work pants because mine are falling off! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Is everyone taking some time off in DEcember - I cannot wait for 14 December! Been a long, taxing year.

Hi Gloei, No of course not! Sorry about the candida

Carmen how are you?

Nicolette I can understand where you are at.

FG fantastic. I've managed to reach 5kgs after 3.5 months - it's been a battle but it's been worth it. I feel so much better - my sugar levels have normalised, I have so much more energy, it's even helped my pms. This for me was more about reteaching myself how to eat properly. I didn't realise how bad I had become.

AFM we’ve decided to call it a day as it is just doing way to much damage on so many fronts. I’m actually feeling very calm about it and in a way relieved that I’m no longer in that “zone of the unknown”. I’ve been doing a lot of “soul searching” and for where I am in my life it is actually best to close this chapter in my life and move on.

I will definitely popping in to say hi and hopefully read about all those bfp's..

Hi Ladies!!

Hoping everyone is doing well?

I am hoping that everyone is so quite because it is year end work rush?? ...and not because of something I said in my last post???

Would love to hear from someone???

AFM: This month was a dud - I had serious candida in my entire fertile period. Haven't had candida in about a year and half...so, yes, not much luck this month...
