Anyone else trying for a 2014 baby?

AFM - in the 2 week wait now. Can test next weekend if no AF. Not hopeful though as I have been feeling so *blegh* lately - BD has been the last thing I have been in the mood for. So did CD10, CD12 and CD 14 only, but under duress!!

I have decided to definitely not do another round of fertomid this month - The side effects are driving me crazy. Never had it with clomid, but wow - its bad. Feeling moody, irritable, fatiqued, depressed, etc. Not good. Affecting my work, my home life, everything. Not even to mention the HEADACHES!!!

I feel like I just need to give my body a bit of a break. THe headaches were so bad that I went to the doctor on Saturday and my blood pressure was 150/100!!! So now I am on Medication for HIgh Blood Pressure!!! He gave me hypotone which is safe to use during pregnancy just in case. But definitely feel like I need to step back for a month or 2 and then take stock again.

Nicolette - Wow, science is amazing! I have also had that corpus luteum pains before, it really is insane, I thought something was about to explode inside of me. Hoping rather that it was implantation cramps FX!!!

Miss Hopefull - So glad to hear that you are taking charge of your situation. Best of luck with your new lifestyle change. I believe it is fundamental when TTC to make sure you take care of yourself to create a healthy environment for a pregnancy.

AFM -Went for the follicle scan this morning - CD10- follies good size - about 20mm (2 on rhs and 1 on lhs) lining 8mm - FS wants the lining to thicken more so will do another scan on Wed and doing lh bloods today tomorrow and Wed. If there is a surge we will do AI the day after, if no surge will probably do trigger on Wed.

I haven't had time to go through all the posts but from what i have read so far, it seems like a great thread to be one if you are looking for support and a place to meet new friends who all have the same desire to have a baby....

A little about me, i was diagnosed with PCOS in 2011 with Insulin Resistance. Have been inconsistent with Glucophage due to the horrible side effects. I battle with my weight and am currently on no meds and for a little while i kind of "gave up". Recently i decided to see a Homeopath and i now have a new outlook on my condition and i understand more about how my body functions and what i can do to help the situation.

I went for bloods on Friday and my homeopath should be receiving results soon. I am optimistic and excited to start on treatment and i really hope this helps me more than conventional medicine could.

I have an appointment with Dr Sagie Naidoo (FS) in August but i couldn't wait any longer as i made this appointment a few months back already so decided i would try other options in the interim and perhaps something positive will happen before i even get to see him....(lol, this is my wishful thinking)

I am positive and excited and am looking forward to becoming a new, healthier me. Hopefully our wish of having a baby will come true soon.

no news on my side- FS appointment Monday at 10am.
I am ready for the break from the meds after this cycle. Will just try home plan, no meds. And take a break from IUI for a few months.

Hi ladies - I finally have a moment to pop in!! I grew up in Paarl - weird for me to hear you talking about the Berg River Boulevaard!! GW - I also battle to get up early in the morning!! So I had my LH surge last Friday and went in on Saturday for the procedure. Had a frozen sample as my hubby is in JHB at the moment. Quite surreal the whole thing - not how you imagine making a baby!!! And then quite an anticlimax afterwards. so I am currently in the most expensive two week wait of my life
Been having THE worst cramps - completely incapacitating - made me cry actually and I'm not kleinserig at all. Sister at Clinic said it's Corpus Luteum Cysts and there's nothing we can do about it. I'm FIRMLY believing it was implantation pain.
