Hi sterretjie!!

I am so glad to hear the kidney function test went well!! Congratulations on the weight loss!!! I am really impressed that you get up at 4:30 in the morning - I have no idea how you do that? I can sleep until 9 in the morning easily... Well done!

Yip - I hear you about your LG wanting a sibling - My LG is constantly playing with imaginary sister friend!

Wishing you well.

HI Ladies

Hope you are all well? Just popped in to see how you are all doing?

Still holding thumbs for you all to fall pregnant soon. You guys make me miss Cape Town - talking about Wellington and Paarl

AFM - after 2 rounds of bloods my kidney function is apparently normal (the count went from 113 to 95 in 2 weeks - normal count is anything below 100) but I have to go back to the specialist twice a year to check this. Otherwise I am eating very healthy (cheating here and there but at least not as bad as what I always have been). I have lost about 5kg so far - still a lot more too loose. I have started exercising this week (had to wait for the flu to leave my body and house LOL). Decided to exercise in the morning rather than in the evening - so I am up at 04:30 and boy, I have so much energy.

I fetch Inge from creche on Tuesday and all the way home she is talking about her sister and she wants a sister. When DH came home she went to him "Pappa ek 'n sussie he" - No pressure!!!!    :silly:

I wish you all a great weekend and LOTS AND LOTS OF BABY DUST

Hi Juno
The name doesn't sound familiar. I work at Nedbank. Breda Street just off Bergrivier blvd.
Good luck with the next cycle and hope you get some answers at your appointment.
Yep, Wellington is not that far at all.

Thanks FG.

Thanks Carmen I'll bear him in mind if I decide to see somebody after the visit with my gynae. I only see doctors by word of mouth so appreciated.

Goodness so you've been working in Paarl for all this time :) You're not by any chance working with Roux de Villiers are you? I actually live in Wellington which is 10mins down the road more or less.

Ah well AF arrived with a bang this evening. At least I can now start counting!

Hi Juno,
I work in Paarl, everyday until last year, now 2 days a week.
Panorama would be a good choice.
I see Dr Slabbert there. I would highly recommend him. He has an excellent bedside manner.
His approach is not agressive and invasive- he does listen to the patient and has not shot down any of my ideas and crazy feelings.
His rates are reasonable. His practice is well managed. very professional.
He trained with the specialists at Aevitas and works very closely with them.

Juno - my gynae is at N1 City, but she delivers at Panorama as well. She is really good and does lots of natural births as well as lots of C-sec's. So good to know that she is pro-natural, but doesn't try and influence your decision either way. Dr Carmen Barker at N1 City.

She had a gynae at panorama who worked with her who was great (Mimsi or something like that).

Sorry to hear FG :( Hope you feel better soon.

Sorry Carmen...so bloody depressing. I'm turning 41 this month and am feeling so panicky...so hoped that it may happen this month.

So weird that with Liam for the most important development stage I was still smoking, drinking, taking no folic acid and on the meds that probably caused my 2nd pregnancy to develop the neural tube defect. Just goes to show....

Something funny going on with AF this month again! I’ve been spotting for 4 days and still nothing! I’m seeing my gynae on 18 June for a check-up and general chat. I actually wouldn't even know what FS to consult as I don't know a soul. I'm in the Boland (Paarl area) so at the end of the day location doesn't really matter though Panorama would be preferable as it's kind of midway home/work point. Anybody know anybody in that area?
