Anyone else trying for a 2014 baby?

hectic Nicolette did you use Provera first or just the fertomid? I had a similar cycle on provera, but never had the problem when only taking the fertomid or clomid.

I am waiting on AF to arrive - hopefully this weekend. BUT I have not decided whether I am going to try another round of fertomid......

I am kinda torn between whether or not I actually want another child. Crazy, I know. But EMily is in such a trying stage at the moment, that I am beginning to question my sanity with wanting to do this all over again.

Hi ladies. So much for not experiencing any side effects from the Fertomid. I am bleeding SOOOOOOO heavily (sorry TMI) and I have such pain in my uterus. I have never suffered badly from either heavy bleeding or menstrual pain - so this is very new to me. I called the fertility clinic and the nurse said it is normal - as long as it stops after a couple of days. Its horrible.

Sterretjie - Shame, that is quite hectic! That must be quite rough to have lost a kidney at such a young age. Really not something that I would want for any child.
Let us know how the blood tests and sonar goes. Really hoping for the best for you.
Since I did the "mom2B" weight loss challenge last year, I still a battle to make good choices constantly. I have really improved a lot and made big changes in my head about certain things which is great, but at times of stress I still find it difficult to stay away from all the wrong foods. I know this is tough and will be thinking of you! Making a commitment to get some sort of exercise was also a big change for me.

Juno - Yip, it is defnitely not something that one can do for months on end I think without your relationship taking strain. I seriously don't know how the ladies who struggle for years to fall pregnant do it!!

Strerretje- sjoe that's a lot to take in. Good luck with the eating plan and weight loss.
Take care of your kidney. We all seem to take our bodies and their functions for granted. I know I do, eating the things I shouldn't.
Soon you'll be ttc again.

Sterretjie that is a lot to deal with..will Discovery accept you once your kidney function is back to normal? Good luck on the weight loss mission. If you've done it before there is no doubt that you can do it again..Keep us posted please..

GW my original post was about exactly that...just doing it soley for conception purposes is draining on both parties and can really change the dynamics drastically and definitely for the worse..This is the first month in a long time that we've done the bare minimum and I'm fine with it. I'll just rely on the fact that the little buggers are meant to live for quite a while

AFM – I have decided to first take a bit of a break from TTC’ing. We wanted to join Discovery for Insurance but my application was declined and after zillions of blood tests I was told to go on a serious diet as my Insulin Resistance is far too high and the dr said as long as I eat bread (and anything associated with flour) and sugar I can forget to lose 1kg. So I have cut out all breads; biscuits; rusks; cakes; sugar; chocolates; sweets; sodas; fruit juice etc from my diet and I must say I can already feel a difference. And I religiously take my Glugophage every night. I was diagnosed with Insulin Resistance in 2009 and then I was on a strict diet and we fell pregnant with my LG.
Then the reason why Discovery has declined me is because of my kidney function. My one kidney was removed in 1983 when I was only 8 years old so all my life I have lived with one kidney but I did not valued it enough and now I have to start looking at my kidney. So the Nephrologists are now again sending me for blood tests as well as a sonar of my kidney and has also told me to lose weight and then he will put me on medication to help with my kidney function. It is luckily not that serious at the moment (the important count should be 100 and mine is currently 113) but we don’t want the count to increase and as he said if we don’t treat it now in many years to come I might have to go on dialysis.
So 3 or 4 months of losing weight and then we will definitely try to TTC again.
I will still pop in here to see who is pregnant first but I am sure we will all have LO’s in 2014
