Time to begin TTC 2018!

Been thinking about you with all the meds. I am SO glad they have been going well. Yeah it is painless. With my 12 days of injections (about 24+ injections) they got sore because my body got sensitive. But you are a champ and doing really well! With regards to public holiday - they will work around it. I went in for scans on sundays even when i had to prep for my IUI. So they will give you the trigger shot and plan it so that it's convenient for everyone.

If you have too many follies then IUI may not happen. They want one nice dominant eggie follicle. 16+mm. But with your doses I doubt you would get a ton, i reckon that it perfect. When i did IUI prep, I had 75IU Gonal F. and only upped it a bit towards the end. they want to be cautious so as to not get many follicles!

So exciting hun. Drink lottttssss of water, it helps!

BABY DUST! enjoy the baby smells and cuddles. And the wittle feet! Oh my gosh the feet and toesies are the best!

@Trenge we are here for you!! It is so daunting but you can do it! The injections aren't bad at all, the needle is only a couple cm's long and you can get a friend, hubby, family to do it. there was no way I was doing it myself either so don't worry! pretty painless although last nights one was just a little sore when the liquid was going in but otherwise fine!! Could you maybe go and see a fertility specialist? Its hard to feel too excited when all we've had is disappointment so I know how you're feeling, but I definitely think you should look at options like IUI now. @Ayesha omg I really am praying you get a BFP with bloods! You know sometimes you can only get a positive hpt after like two weeks of being late, I have a very good friend & my cousin both only got BFP after 2 weeks missed period!! So its not over yet! Praying for you!!!! So nice you and your hubby can have some quality time together...enjoy xxxx

@Chioma i am so sorry to hear of your struggle Would it be worth signing up to a hospital plan medical aid and once the waiting period is over do that in hospital and it will be covered? These ops are all so expensive, I wish they would make IVF more affordable. Would surrogacy be of interest to you at all? I saw on the Anele show the other day they were talking about it, very interesting for those who can't carry or conceive their own baby. Praying for you hun I hope you find a way, in the meantime we are here for you xxxx
@PetitPois never apologise. We are all going through our own journeys and you are allowed to feel how you are feeling not matter how long you have been trying. One of my friends keeps saying to me 'some women wait much longer than you have its just one of those things' I was like So what!!! This is my body and this is me, I am allowed to feel sad and angry that I have had to wait so long. I don't want to wait 7yrs but the reality is I may have to. Just be gentle with yourself and praying you get a BFP soon xxxx

AFM...CD8. I've done my CD3-7 of Fertomid and 3x Menopur Injections on CD3,5,7. They were surprisingly painless - last nights one was a bit sore when the liquid was going in but otherwise they have all been fine, hubby did it for me!! I couldn't!! We have our CD12 scan on Monday to see how the follies are growing and then I guess he will decide from there when the IUI will take place. The only worry I have is that wednesday is a public holiday, I am not sure if they are open on holidays so what if the IUI needs to be done that day? Don't wanna miss the egg drop!! anyway i'm sure they know what they are doing. I am not entirely sure how to feel at the moment. I want to be excited, but I know my standard excitement is always met with disappointment so i'm kinda trying to stay neutral. Just eating healthy as possible drinking lots of water and rehidrate - i've been man down with the tummy bug for the past week so its been hard to eat lots of veggies etc but doing what I can. So yeah..big week for us next week! Praying we get a baby or two from this!!!! So many of my friends have had babies recently, another one yesterday so i'm going to the hospital just now for a cuddle. Trying to take in all the baby smells and cuddles maybe my body will respond and give me one haha!!!! One day

MamaK? Sorry to ask but how old are u? I've been looking up on fluctuations in cycle length and how it corresponds to age so im just curious

AFM i begin the 2ww from Monday. Ive stopped the Pregnacare Conception as the pg like side effects suck! Sore bbs, lethargic, gotta wee all the time. Been DTD at least every second evening and then stick a pillow under my butt...legs up the wall. Gotta giggle as it looks ridiculous
Will see what happens this cycle but still must go get checked. Even if to start its just to see if my cervix is ok. Appointments are expensive tho and with Easter coming.... Well anyway, time will tell and im still trying to just relax this cycle. FX as a BFP would be such a gift. My son keeps asking when his sister is coming...lol.

@hope fx crossed for you 2ww...they say kids can sense what us adults can't so maybe he knows Some thing you don't lol lots of baby dust.

Yes I've been on this forum for ages, took a break after my angel baby as I had to get some shots and they caused complications in pregnancy and I took my son's loss extremely bad but after a year we started trying again.

I am cd34 still no sign of AF...serious night nausea and 2 BFN on cd29 and cd32 going to wait another week and do bloods if still neg and see my doc if still neg.

For some reason every time I read the news I see article of mom's abusing there kids in some way and I think they have been blessed with a beautiful gift and that's what they do? Yet women that will be wonderful doting mom's struggle so much to have one. It brings me to tears every time.

Thanks for replying. Aaaaaaw that's so cute that ur son is asking about he's future sister lol. Anyway yes ur right I can conceive. I feel so bad sometimes that I forget I'm not the problem. Doc didn't say anything just that he's sending us for artificial insemination due to hubby's low sperm quality. I have been reading up on staminogro, sounds good and then also aspirin for helping baby stick. I don't want to do too much or drink too many prenatals but don't want to do too little either. Try to relax in ur tww hope I know it's not easy. Good luck for the bfp

As u said, Nicola is on the same path and she always updates us. It will give u a feel for what is to come for u. Can hubby not inject u? Or a clinic nurse? Also, did Doc advise on how to help hubbys swimmers? U obviously are capable of falling pg u just need the little bean to stick.
Allow yourselves some excitement. You need to hold onto the reason that u are going through all this for xxx Follow Dr orders and keep the faith!

What exactly is wrong with your existing tube? What happened to the other one? Do u confirm ovulation, or temp?
Every lady here is on a rocky TTC journey and we will be with u through it all. Some ladies struggled for ages and are now blessed to be on the pregnancy or birthing boards. Just dont give up xxx
