Skitter, the plates are gorgeous? Where did you get them from?

Claudia, do you know which supermarkets stock the baby stock cubes etc in the UK. I know of a guy coming in November and might ask himto get me some, but he is guy, so dont want to send him on a wild goose chase.

Thanks for all the advise and support Marijke! You are a star to us!

Thanks! Watermelon! love it! I do actually have a straw cup lying around, it does look a little 'higher grade' but I'll have a go. He does not take his beautifull nuk sippy cup seriously, unfortunately.
And sho, no he's poo isn't pebble like, more pasty. He just tends to get upset in the act.
I'll just keep offering water.

SKitter those plates are sooo cute!
For the constipation you can use some probiflora, tiny bit of prune juice also helps.. Amber also not that into water, but a few sips here and there and before you know it they finised a bottle..
Marijke, the Scio is soooo nice.. I go regularly, and so worth it.

@ Memo, I was browsing through threads on the baby led weaning forum and I found one where a lady is having the same problem as you:) Her baba is 7 months and not drinking, is breastfed and his poos are pellot like.

Anyway another mom who had the same problem said that She went to the doc and he said to just keep offering water and if he is thirsty he will drink. She now tries to make sure that he gets loads of fruit that has lots of water in it (watermelon, pears etc and that this also helped) Another lady said her lo only started drinking at 9 months:)

Skitter those plates are super cute, don't think you'll find something like that in SA

Lonie, I think I have to go get B on a scio machine but I'm afraid of what it might say!

Memo, have you tried a sippy cup or even a straw cup? I know B hated a sippy cup but preferred a straw cup when she started eating.

I know this won't help you - and it's only for mommies who's babies are eating already - when B shows the first signs of pooping pebbles I make the formula powder in her day bottles one scoop less (more water, less milk you see) since she also isn't that into water. And if I get really (as in really) desperate I'll give her one milk bottle during the day with a teaspoon brown sugar

Memo, is you are breastfeeding he shouldnt need the water (the book says offer at meals, but it doesnt matter if they dont do anything with it..)
Why do you think he is constipated? I know that James is doing a poo because he always "strains" an he isnt even on solids yet:)

Hey guys, I'm stuggling to get my lb to drink water. He thinks a bottle is a chew toy.. So I'm finding that he get a little constipated directly after eating, and he has trouble making a poo.
Now I've started considering just making muchy watery food for him.. I really want to blw.
Any advise?
