Hey ladies, thanks for all the advice:) I also phoned my friend whos a dietician to speak to her about my concerns. I think I'm probably paranoid:)

On the stock front, I found out yesterday that in the UK you get baby organic stock cubes, which are salt and preservative free. I've asked my sil to get 3 boxes and post them over to me:)

I'm going to start introducing some food to James on the weekend just to see what he does with it:)

Claudia, regarding the Omega's, I give Amber the IQ supplement, and in the beginning I felt so bad for giving her that spoonfull of fish ga-ga, but she dont mind taking it.
These days I even make Amber's own juice cause the scio machine picked up all sorts of unhealthy stuff like sulfites that she gets from normal (baby) fruit juice..
I work in the food industry and if you look at what actually happens with food in most industries you will just die.. they inject frozen chicken and bacon with brine (salt water) to make it look bigger. And have you ever heard of cochineal, so much for natural colourings.
I agree with Marijke, all things well balanced and in moderation can do no harm..
Marijke after your post about B and the apple and gave Amber a slice of apple and she didnt want to eat it.. then I peeled one whole apple and she was busy with it for at least 15 minutes..

Do you have a pestle & Mortar Deja? You could try that maybe? But why don't you go to a health shop and see if they don't have linseed oil or powder for you.

Hey Claudia, I just wanted to add, that fish as far as I've read... Ain't so great when they are very little. There been quite a few mercury warnings on the radio. (And even a little mercury is bad for baby's nervous system) I am however working on my paranoia too.
Yes to seeds and also if you are still nursing there is LOTS of DHA in there!
