Mommy N, we also have huge ant problem (also stay in PTA) Plus the dog / cat's food dont make it easier! I even found ants the other day in the fridge.. now how the hell did they get in there?
I think the dogs love BLW, as some delicious snacks just fall from the sky!

Hey Zodwa, welcome back! We missed you, how was the vacation?

MommyN I really don't know, I had the same problem last year with summer and I think I'm not going to get away from it today but the best thing that works for ants is babypowder. Will let you know if I find a solution this summer but at the moment I struggle with flies

The BLW is fun!

But why does it feel like I am also BLW'ing the entire ant collony! Any advise on how to avoid an ant takeover? I try to clean up as fast as possible, but sometimes LG takes a while to finish eating.

We have sprayed the outside of our house, and out of desperation I even sprayed the skirting boards yesteraday with Di-Ant then let it run behind wood and then washed the areas very well where LO can get to. I wash the floors twice a day somedays!

I feed the birds, and even fed a rat when we lived in Tanzania - just so that he would NOT come and eat all our food in the pantry (went through so much tupperware!)... but really, how do I train the ants?

We need rain in Pretoria! Maybe that will help!

Happy BLW'ing Moomies!

I think there is truth in that a baby will avoid eating things they allergic to. Ruru never showed much interest in sweet potatoe, the last week I mashed some with a fork for which he ate (not much) & he got a rash all over his body.
So I guess he was avoiding it for a reason.
He had chicken for the 1st time yest. Chewed & swallowed everything. If only given him fruit & veges before

I noticed you guys were talking about rye bread in the begining but I cant see what the verdict was...
Also I will defnitely need to get the 'hero' bib! My baby was loving the beetroot and I've discoverd the reason I haven't let him hold his own food is cos he's messy!
Anyway he still isn't eating a little plate every day ( 5 1/2) months , so this really is only an introduction. Mainly because he always stares at me licking he's lips when I eat and he once got quite annoyed at me eating a orange.
Tonight, like me, he loved my moms veggie soup. So I'd like to let him have a go for a change. Must must get an awesome bib!
