Claudia_B, See the thing is he has been eating banana and avo and paw paw, apple etc. At his 1st year check up, I was told he can now eat anything we eat and dont have to worry about any problems with certain fruits. Thats why I thought I can now give him these types but he wont have any of it. Give him a banana and apple and he is happy

I wouldnt add sgar to the fruit - those are quite acidic fruits that you have been trying though. WHy not start with something sweeter though like pawpaw or banana?

Marijke, I just though I'd pop in... I want to say, that if I said anything to upset you during the last week or so, I am sorry. I get that YOU and I are very different, and that we both have VERY strong opinions about WE feekl is RIGHT for us.

I believe I am giving my child the best I can, even it is not blw. I ate least cook all her food myself, she has not had one bite of purity, and is still breastfed, no formula, tea or juice have ever passed her lips... The only difference between me an dyou, re feeding, is that your baby has whole food, where mine has puree.

I hope we can make ammends and move on.

Im struggling with Kyle and fruits. He doesnt seem to want to eat it. I gave him a kiwi last night. He took one bite, pulled his face and throw the kiwi to the floor. The same with oranges and peaches. I think any fruit with a bit of a sore taste, he will do the same. Is there any other way that I can get him to eat fruit. Maybe disguise it in sugar?

Im happy to report, Kyle has finally given up eating purity. He refuses it at home and school. Im so happy.

@lientjie, which is amazing because according to my parents I was their sickest child, but then again as a grownup you gain NOTHING from being in bed the whole day. In fact it just makes more work for you the next day!

Awww, congrats on the BLW going so well, I just love the fact that BLW babies are exposed to so many healthy foods and LOVE it so much.

Going to the store today to buy every fruit I can get my hands on for B, can't wait for the fruit trees in our backyard to start growing!

@Marijke - Well, the positive side is that at least the doctor didn't give you antibiotics that you don't need! Hope you feel better soon.

I'm happy to report that our BLW is going great! She's already had green beans, carrots and baby marrows - and she absolutely loves it!

My husband did admit to going ice-cold right to his toes when she gagged for the first time, but he handled the situation very nicely. ;)

Oh and check me out, I'm very proud and somewhat bummed but after being in bed since monday and fighting Not to go to the doctor, I finally gave in today and walked out with...........panado. I actually cried about it :D

First time since 2005 I go to a doctor (except for gynea checkups during pregnancy 2009) and I get stinking panados
