So I get asked a lot how much B actually eats. I couldn't tell you if my life depended on it, so I will show it in pictures.

Her plate of food chicken, rice and veggies

She had a bite of rice then went for the green stuff

This was after about 15 minutes, that's daddy preloading the spoon for her

As you can see, no tricks, not a lot made it to the floor

What was left on her plate

Then she had green jelly and custard from her monster bowl

*B is 4 days away from turning 1 in these pictures*

B has had some kiwi, it is usually in the fruit salad I buy, sliced but she eats grapes (halved) so I'm sure she would handle a kiwi okay. She tried oranges too a while back and liked it.

Thanks Lientjie.

At a year, can they eat all fruits? I bought some Kiwi and have oranges at home but dont know if I can already give it to him. Would I leave the kiwi whole or cut it in blocks or slices

@justinek - You can freeze food for up to 3 months in a freezer and 6 months in a deep freeze. Just make sure you defrost it either really slowly (like 24hours in the fridge) or really fast (microwave) - never in the sun. And when you heat it up, make sure it's heated all the way through. You'll probably have to heat it too hot and then let it cool down a bit for your LO. Both pasta and rice freeze really well.

I've recently read about the BLW style and I must say it appeals to me. With Em, she refused flat out to eat before 12 months. She was exclusivly breastfed, and Dr's had no problems with it, so we didn't worry. She liked to chew on a vieanna during this time, but show her pure anything and she clamped shut. I fell and broke my collar bone, and was forced to stop feeding her (one of the worst days of my life I tell you)
My MIl STILL wants to feed her pured butternuts etc, but she eats wonderfully if I make a bunch of finger foods and let her snack on what she likes.

I will def do BLW with next baby - obviously we will have some mash potatos and stuff, but I love the idea of not cooking seperate meals. :)
