VBAC SUPPORT

Makatk- I really wanted to change gynaes before my c section 13 years ago, it's been a huge regret for me. It's not too late. If you're healthy, low risk( other than uterine scar) you can change at 39 weeks I reckon. Good luck to you. It's a healing experience that puts a lot of ghosts to rest. Xxx

Hey you, induction is the main cause of rupture with or without previous Caesar, so it's good to keep that in mind when talking to drs that's not keen and bring up risk of rupture as nr 1 worry.

i'm new on this thread. Reading your stories gave me hope as I am praying for VBAC. I do not have a doula nor Midvive as I do not know of any in my area. I am 34 weeks and was wondering if changing a gynae would be a good thing at this time of pregnancy. I don't think my current gynae is pro VBAC.

PS Marinda, I I was told that induction wasn't an option for a VBAC as it isn't medical practice in SA.

I just want to thank you a ladies for all the support. I had a successful VBAC on the 17th of February at Genesis Clinic in Joburg. My little girl weighed 3.68kg and the scar wasn't an issue. I went into it surrounded by the most amazing team. Don't underestimate the power of a good doula and a midwife. I couldn't have done it without them.
