Oh yes I just wanted to say its really awesome the amount of feedback we're getting on here, I'm totally thrilled!!!!!!!
Jacadebra thanks so much for sharing your story with us! It certainly gives one hope

Our babies were the exact same weight - 2.83kgs

And to think he was telling you your baby was too big for natural birth!
I must say reading it has once again given me reason to really try my best for VBAC and also not arriving at hospital too promptly in order to avoid lying down on a bed. I love the idea of using water, a birth ball, hubby and walking as a way of progressing through labour, and finding the strength to remain calm and breath through it. I will have to talk to my gynae about my freedom to do so closer to the time so that he's aware I dont want to be flat on a bed.
Carlene wow what a story! I must say a 'long' labour that doesnt progress is the most daunting to me, because it's really exhausting for both you and your birth partner. And in the end most times it ends up in a c-sec cos also by then mom would be too exhausted to push properly which doesnt help matters either.
Well done on trying, and at least you know you gave it a shot, and as you say perhaps the Lord's hand was at work in the situation.
I also believe the same with Kaylee's birth, as a natural birth may have opened up the blood flow to her lungs and she may have been closer to heart failure sooner as a result, so also completely at peace about my first c-sec.
It's a real pity there aren't more active birthing units such as Genesis in Cape Town, as I'd really love to go there.
I must say I'm still weary of methods of 'turning baby' closer to due date, as maybe baby isnt turning for a reason.
I would however consider a stretch and sweep if I was full term (40+) and no signs of cervix being ready. However believe its quite sore.
A friend of mine who had a home birth had a stretch and sweep and the next day she had her baby.
